  • In this video we’re going full blown bronze on the Aodhan Wheels LS007’s! We tried gunmetal and now we’re trying bronze! Hopefully this will help me decide which color to powdercoat my wheels going forward!

Looks great man... Love the contrast it gives on a White Pearl Accord. I wanted to do Bronze on mine but not sure how it looks on Still Night Pearl.

I’m just curious as to why you didn’t go the plasti dip way where you can peel it off easily but yet also get the same best results.

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports

Great question. I’m eventually powder-coating the wheels but I wanted something a little more permanent. If you caught my last wheel color video, I chose a sweet gun metal plasti dip color. Still on of my favorite or top choice for wheel color BUT the dip only lasted 5 days. I dropped a few drops of gasoline on the rear wheel after a fill up and it caused the dip to peel up and eventually rip off on the hwy. I was pretty pissed, I didn’t wanna do all that work again and have it last days.
I wanted something to last at least long enough for a new set of wheels or until I move into the new house where I’ll get a small power coating station setup.

I restore wheels for a living and stripping and blasting them would have been the way to go and then doing them and powder coat it holds up the problem is you get some tired junkie putting your tires on and it's not careful he can shift but very easy will powder coat that will not happen. And saying that joining yourself you should go to an automotive paint supply store they sell paint specifically for automotive use. the s*** at discount in advance is not for automotive use even though it says it on the can that's b******* it's general they make a paint called Sims it has a better finish and comes out a hundred percent better you can also buy something called 2K clear it's $25 a can it has a partner on the bottom it'll give you professional looking clear coat that clear only last once you activate it for 48 hours if you frigerator you might get a week out of it. but it's an aerosol can clear which is the best you can buy for automotive needs by

Yeah man, this was just a temporary color to help me decide which color to get the wheels powdercoated.
If you remember back to me plasti dipping my wheels gun metal. I wanted to do bronze as well but that plasti dip held up 5 days before it came off. I wanted something that would last at least a month so i could decide which route to go. This is by no means permanent, just wanted something a little more durable while I’m choosing which color to go with. 👌🏽
