- Where to even begin. I am determined to make this year my best sewing year yet!! It's my forth year of sewing and also 2024, so it all seems perfect and aligned. I have so much to share with you all and lots of wonderful things to make.
I will finally be making some dresses I have been dreaming about, plus a huge project of creating my new sewing studio!! This is going to be a big deal and I may share bits along the way. (Or just make an epic video about it ha ha.)

Nice to meet you…a note on prewashing fabric… it is usually done to protect against shrinkage. An option it is cut a six inch square and wash just that…compare back to the original fabric…then dry it…that way you can tell if you are going to be negatively surprised after making the garment and then having to clean it. I got that tip from Peggy Sagers of Silhouette Patterns. Chris in Florida

Very excited about your sewing plans for this year 🎉 such amazing choices and having the opportunity to create your new sewing space will be such a liberating process. I love your theme for this year as well -improvement-. I watch this awesome Aussie RUclips vlogger @sewingseamswithdeb and she’s started the hashtag #chooseoneword. The idea is to choose a word that reflects our intention(s) for the next year as opposed to resolutions. I’ve never been one for resolutions as they are generally so specific/absolutist and if you don’t do it you can feel so deflated. Intentions are more about what we’re working/building towards and how we feel. They leave room to making adjustments, celebrating the process/ journey and recognising the fact that life can get in the way sometimes! Anyway enough rambling. Go well and looking forward to following your adventures this year 😊

I’ve just found you and good to hear a local voice on here 😄. I have the same ‘puzzle’ fabric but wasn’t aware it came in other colours, will have to go and find those. Love your idea of using all 4 colours. Can’t wait to see that x

Creating a new sewing studio sounds very exciting. I loved having my sewing room built in the garden, it’s my favourite place to be! I’ve had it 2 years now and still tweaking the layout 🤷♀️😊

The sewing room plans are a bit scary ha ha , I still don’t know what colour scheme I want to have 🤣 I’m so exciting about my up coming sewing projects , just hope they come out ok 🙈❤️
