I have a 2020 Ram Rebel and it's easily more luxurious and rides nicer than many so-called luxury cars. Plus, it's super off-road capable, which is exactly what I needed. I've been waiting for you to review these new Ram trucks because I think a lot of people don't realize just how nice they are. (Also, I've put over 500,000 miles on 3 prior Ram trucks and never had to do much of anything other than routine maintenance, so I think the reliability issue has been put in the past where it belongs.) You should do a review of the Rebel, kind of like you did with the Power Wagon. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your reviews.
That’s awesome to hear! You’ve got yourself a NIce ride for sure! I actually have a Rebel video coming soon, but unfortunately I didn’t get to take it off road ☹️. Thank you for watching!
I was that guy who has always said the hell with ram aka (dodge)! As a gmc and Chevy guy I bit the bullet and bought this same truck today and absolutely love it. I encourage anyone to give these trucks a go
This just gave me more motivation to push forward to hopefully one day one of these, I currently have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and I love it but definitely time to work for something new
I like it a lot. The black rims are goes great with the red color. I like the interior a lot. It looks very comfortable. You did an awesome job my friend 👏
For those who worry about reliability, I own a 2020 Bighorn and the only trouble I have had would be regarding the paint. It seems to scratch easily from the factory, one or two more clearcoats would have helped… but as far as mechanical reliability I cannot complain at all. This truck is a truck and does truck things very well!
@@CherokeelionI do believe all modern cars and trucks are incredibly reliable. Long gone are the days of radiators failing, engine needing occasional rebuilds. Heck, you don't even see engine hoists in shops. People just don't get left stranded like they used to. And that's all makes and models
So far my 2019 has been really reliable it hasn't been to the dealership for anything no problems it has 20k miles on it so far I have the 5.7 hemi im happy with it.
Broken? Not surprised. Bought my 2019 Longhorn in Oct 2018. Brake pedal (recall), replaced battery ground cable (recall), replaced all brake calibers because they squeaked, panoramic sunroof stopped working (upper console replaced) and doesn’t recognize key fob (replacing in a couple days).
Cannot believe that you have to use the key fob to unlock the doors when there is push button start. According to RAM, you do not get proximity key for entry until the Laramie Trim & up. Why would you equip a vehicle with push button start and need to use the key fob to get access? What’s the point of being able to keep your key fob in your pocket or purse?
Just picked up a 2021 Big Horn Night edition. Also in red. One owner who leased it with about 10,000 miles a year. I was looking for a Laramie but I saw this truck and immediately had to see it. I don't drive a lot now since I work down the street so I'm hoping it lasts a while. Girlfriend loves it too. Maybe one day we can haul our kids in the massive back seat.
I would love to see like the 360s 373-383-400 and 440 big blocks as an option too but with direct injection and hemispherical combustion heads heater type manifolds and oily sauce and all of them to give you greater horsepower flexibility plus the return of a viper pick up and have several versions of that as well but I know that FCA is doing a great job right now and I know many new surprises are coming including the return of the barracuda the roadrunner the GTX and the superbird so come on FCA let's bring back super muscle trucks and super muscle cars and great job and this review was excellent maybe we have many more reviews from this site and God bless our reviewer and his family too
60k+ with cloth seat, no keyless door entry, and no advanced safety features like LKS or adaptive cruise. Those are available on a base corolla. I love the truck, but domestic manufacturers need to start making more features standard across the trims.
Yeah, but how else can you market 6 different trim levels if you make more stuff standard? $42K base with $20K 'options' and it's still not fully-optioned...smh
@@jmtjmt-jo7zj I purchased a new Chevy Silverado and after 2 years I traded for the Ram 1500. The Chevy kept having fuel injector issues and it all happened at the 2 year date. Great Job Nolan I do see some of these on the road and I wonder why the LED DTRL on the Rams, Challengers, Mustangs, seemed toned or a very low LED and not as bright as an LED should be ?
The thing is the lights your probably referring to aren’t by FCA classification DTR’s. If you go into the lights through the settings page on your info screen there is an option to turn DTRL’s ON/OFF. Which then turns on the same lights as your night times, but just less bright and there are 2 of them. Kinda hard to explain but look up a video. Also I totally agree and think they should make those signature lights more bright.
These RAms don't use the LED signature lights as the DRL's like on many other vehicles, they are just a glow for looks. That said they don't turn off when you turn on the turn signal like other vehicles that use them as DRL's.
Nice thorough review. I’m considering one of the Built to Serve Rams. The one I’m looking at has the 8.4 Uconnect 4C (similar integration as the 12.4). Did you get the Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection? I was curious if it worked well. It looks like the Bullt to Serve is similarly equipped as the Night Edition with Off Road package as it doesn’t have the Rebel lift kit.
Thank you! Yes the blind spot and cross oath worked perfectly fine...in parking lots and even backing out of my home driveway. Blind spot worked well too with good accuracy as far as I could tell. Very nice, enjoy it 👍
I have a 21 Bighorn Night Edition w/Cross Path Detection and not only does it work great (You can set it to just lights on the mirrors or lights and sound), but it also has an auto -detect feature if you’re towing a trailer (Up to a 39’ Trailer) that increases the sensitivity so you can safely make lane changes and avoid cutting someone off with the trailer.

So many questions.. but first, why is your wife sitting in the backseat??
Haha, good question. She always sits back there with my daughter who’s in a car seat...and is unruly year old lol
Hauling your wife around with a car seat, yikes. Hopefully their was a child in the car seat.
