I bought the Laramie because I liked the interior better, the led lights inside, the keyless entry and start, but also because the Laramie has auto rain detecting windshield wipers.
If you get the Bighorn with the led light group, sport appearance, the level 2 package and the 9 speaker sound, its dam near a Laramie. The best part is that you get all the goodies of the Laramie but more importantly you get the better discounts from FCA. FCA puts the most money behind the Bighorn. I wanted a Laramie at first but I found a Bighorn optioned like I mentioned and I saved dam near $9k difference right off the bat, actually I ended up getting nearly $15k price difference between the two back in June of ,19. Bighorn is the better value like Ben says but order wisely and wait for the right time on discounts and you make like a bandit.
Hey Ben, can you tell me does a 2020 Laramie sport have the ambient lighting along the dash? I had a 2019 rebel that I know for sure had it and I got a 2020 Laramie now that I thought had it, but it doesn't appear to be coming on. It comes on in the doors but not along the dash and I also thought you could control the lighting on the floorboards. Either I'm thinking of my rebel and this truck didn't have that or it does and I can't get it on.

Apparently, a ford lease is tough to get out of financially speaking, but the dealership is running numbers. It’s a 2019 too so with the 2020s coming in there may be incentives/discounts. We shall see tomorrow!
I like the tables on the bottom of the center console lid. Those little details are a Chrysler hallmark. All the storage and slides and ice boxes are really cool too. They are really good about including those kinds of things.

It give buyers a nice idea as to whats out there and available..the rams when doin research can be confusing to a lot of people because of all the trim levels, for example, the 2019 comes in the DS old body style(classic), vs the DT new body style ..not to mention the express, tradesman, rebel, Warlock ect...as easy as it is for you to go threw both..for buyers it can offer a nice side by side comparison as to what's what's....btw...the warlocks are a bit underrated, to bad you didn't have a nice decked out model.. different looking..keep up the good work, as normal and as typical the reviews can be for you, I can assure you to a potential buyer it offers valuable information when deciding what vehicle best fits somebody's needs..
I had a tundra about 5years ago and the mileage was like 10 mpg. off-road tires, front back bumper guards...etc. got rid of it. bought a 2020 bighorn 36 hours ago. and I'm completely satisfied. always wanted a 'hoss named Scratchy. cmon Scratchy, keep 'dem dawgees rollin' Raw hide!!
You are right and wrong at the same time. The 2 in the back are 100% ANC, in the front there are 2 mics for the bluetooth (they are the smaller ones), and the other 2 (the bigger ones) are for ANC.
I own a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab 6.4 bed 5.7v8 4x4 tow package. Only owned chevy pickups...The truck is roomy...It has good power.also pulls a loaded car trailer like a dream..

Since you are working for a Ram dealership I have questions for you. I was shopping for the Ram 1500 like two months ago. Why it’s hard to find a Ram 1500 with the off-road package? For example, Ford has the FX-4 and Chevy have the Z71. When you go to Ford or Chevy dealership , you can find trucks with the off-road package easily unlike Ram.
Does the bighorn and the Laramie have the same headlight size? What i mean is can i get some laramie headlights and put it on my bighorn truck? I have a 2019
Me and my brother both bought 2020 rams. I bought the big horn night edition and he bought the Laramie. Literally only difference is that he has leather seats and LEDs. But I have the 12 inch touch screen. And his was like 5K more but i could careless about leather seats. Other than that I'm happy with it.
You’re comparing to special editions which are not the typical model sold of either. Any optional packages covered should be made clear as “extra cost”.......good quick review overall but I prefer to start with the window sticker which discloses the packages and their costs. Truck pricing is very difficult to untangle since they bundle options as the models progress in price. The Rebel has an interesting look inside. Good luck finding exactly what you want on the lot.
Missing a few options to be fully loaded. I have a 2020 Night Edition, only option I do not have is the sunroof, and the tailgate release on the fob was only available on the Laramie and up.
I have a 2019 Ram Lonestar, basically the Bighorn in Texas, and optioned as much as I can get, including LED lights and Nav system. It's nearly a Laramie with cloth seats and no seat AC. My wife prefers the cloth, and it was worth it to me to save the few thousand dollars and keep my spouse happy. Otherwise, I'd have probably gone with the Laramie.
Ok. So I want the panoramic sunroof, 12 inch display, ventilated seats, led lighting, spray in bed liner, keyless entry and remote start up. Which model is the best to go with?
I just got a Laramie with those options minus spray in liner and my MSRP was 58k. Add the spray for another $885 I think is what it’s retailed add. Limited MSRP will be mid 60s. I couldn’t afford it so did Laramie with added options. I left out the spray in bed liner and running boards cuz boards online are like $$200 and spray in liner around $500. Dealer wanted 1k for boards and 1k for spray. You get what you pay for honestly.
So I went into my dodge dealership today looking at like 4 used F150 they had...ended up taking home 2020 Lonestar Hemi that they loaned me for a whole day! 🤣 Let me tell you that interior is sooooo nice. Screen is crispy and that Alpine sound system 🤤 Makes a 2020 F150's (I know it's been the same since '15) look outdated. I'll still more than likely go with a 2.7 EB as I'm a Ford "fanboy" but damn it makes it hard to decide now!
That big horn is expensive! I got a deal on mine tho, was going for a 2019 warlock, brand new had about $8800 in rebates but they sold it before I can sign papers so to make up for it they added the $8800 rebate on a 2020 big horn. Price was $44k but with rebates it made it to $35k😎
MrJharo93 no, I wanted a 4x4, I switched over from an avalanche with 4x4 also had brand new mud grips and rims on it so I just swapped rims over to my ram. So to have mud grips on a 2wd is kinda upsetting but I’m just glad Chevy rims fit rams 6lug
I test drove the Laramie and loved it. took it home to see if it would fit in my garage and it was too tall by half an inch. Wish they had put that arial somewhere lower.
Eric Diekmann It took a few days to get use to it but I like that the climate controls are also in “button” form if you want to avoid the touch screen. I feel they really thought of the little things
Eric Diekmann I just got the long horn and I disagree, the screen isn’t a distraction if you’re used to having a screen. And you can dim it so it’s less distracting but I don’t even notice it while driving and focused on the road
What'd you get it for? My dealership is wanting to sell me a Lonestar Hemi for $52K out the door...heck no! Do you think I can bring them down to $40K ish?? 😌 I'd take it then. I've never owned a truck much less a brand new one
I've had the ford, the chevy... now I drive the bighorn. Not all the models look good. But this model looks and feels exceptional compared to ford and chevy. It wasn't easy for me to go to a ram dealer. But let me tell ya!
Not trying to play devil's advocate, but my bighorn has quite a few more features thatn this, so I dont feel like this is 100% fair. Granted the Laramie's are better than the BIghorn's but maybe a more fair comparison would be nice. I still saved a substantial amount compared the a Laramie as well.
A fully loaded Big Horn gets way more discounted than baseline Laramie. We just picked up a loaded Bighorn and we’re able to get 5k more off it than a Laramie.
Just traded my 2018 F150 STX for a 2020 Bighorn. Looking forward to the changes. Ford wouldn't stand behind its product and I'm over the aluminum body.

Pretty Smitty I’ve owned nothing but rams for the past 8 years. I have personally never had any transmission issues. From my understanding the transmission issues were resolved around the time they came out with 2009 body style.

wish the 'multi-function' tailgate was more like the Chev/GMC. Both are a little gimmicky, but the GM version does seem to be a little more functional.

Evan, you probably already know this, but Mopar actually makes a leveling/lift kit right from the factory..it's a minor lift /level as far as kits go, but it's right from the factory..Mopar P5155797 Is (one) part number for the Mopar kits, bit I believe there's another kit also that a available..

All my trucks have been Dodges or Ram's. The hemi is a great engine for the most part but we are creeping up on close to 20 yrs of the 5.7 without a new engine option. Gm and Ford have way more engine options. I also feel Ram dropped the ball big time on the 1/2 ton diesel option. Those vm motori diesels were garbage in the last gen and they are trying to give it another go? Once a engine is known to grenade you can use the same name redesign 80% of it and call it a 3rd Gen ecodiesel but people do not forget. The long partnership Dodge/Ram has had with Cummins it just amazes me that they would go with more Italian garbage in their trucks. F.C.A needs to seriously reconsider who they hire for marketing and trends in North America. A high output new gen 4 b.t Cummins in this truck would outsell the "Italian garbage' 3 to one. Its all about name recognition! Ram powertrain engineers what the hell you drinking? Should be an ice cold beer instead of that fine Italian Moscato!!
I've got a 2d gen ecodiesel, and I can promise you that it is most definitely NOT junk! I've got 108,000 miles on my 2016 and not a single problem. A buddy of mine has 238,000 miles on his 2015 and a friend of his has 635,000 miles on his 2014. We all use them to pull RVs with commercially and we are all VERY happy with them!

But if you spliced it and edit the video where you’re walking around and pointing things out it’s a lot easier for the audience to understand what you’re comparing,also your camera wouldn’t be jumping back and forth between vehicles. Pro tip: Those aren't speakers for the the bluetooth. They're actually for the active noise cancellation function in these trucks.

Bighorn for me......so far, so good. I got the 4x4 off road package with sport features. 13,000 miles and love it.

There is no sport trim now. It’s a package that can be added to big horn or laramie. The Laramie has the sport package

Actually there is a 6cyl choice as well as the standard Hemi 5.7. And the axle ratios make a big difference.

The 8 speed in the current rams is a very nice transmission. You won’t be disappointed

wish the 'multi-function' tailgate was more like the Chev/GMC. Both are a little gimmicky, but the GM version does seem to be a little more functional.
Andy MacDonald the 60/40 Ram tailgate is my best feature by far The multi Chevy flipper tailgate is worthless with any lift or if it’s a 2500 you would have to be 8ft tall to use it That’s right from a Denali man

All my trucks have been Dodges or Ram's. The hemi is a great engine for the most part but we are creeping up on close to 20 yrs of the 5.7 without a new engine option. Gm and Ford have way more engine options. I also feel Ram dropped the ball big time on the 1/2 ton diesel option. Those vm motori diesels were garbage in the last gen and they are trying to give it another go? Once a engine is known to grenade you can use the same name redesign 80% of it and call it a 3rd Gen ecodiesel but people do not forget. The long partnership Dodge/Ram has had with Cummins it just amazes me that they would go with more Italian garbage in their trucks. F.C.A needs to seriously reconsider who they hire for marketing and trends in North America. A high output new gen 4 b.t Cummins in this truck would outsell the "Italian garbage' 3 to one. Its all about name recognition! Ram powertrain engineers what the hell you drinking? Should be an ice cold beer instead of that fine Italian Moscato!!
I've got a 2d gen ecodiesel, and I can promise you that it is most definitely NOT junk! I've got 108,000 miles on my 2016 and not a single problem. A buddy of mine has 238,000 miles on his 2015 and a friend of his has 635,000 miles on his 2014. We all use them to pull RVs with commercially and we are all VERY happy with them!

Do you really have to move and shake and jerk your camera so much???? Wow, I got headache in like 2 mins into it, apart from he fact that I don't like RAM teucks at all, one of the most unreliable vehicles out there. I returned 2019 Laramie and picked F150 Lariat with moon roof instead.

Nastee 4S I would rather just sit the trucks side by side and film it this way. I’m not a fan of the split screen.
But if you spliced it and edit the video where you’re walking around and pointing things out it’s a lot easier for the audience to understand what you’re comparing,also your camera wouldn’t be jumping back and forth between vehicles. Just some friendly advice to improve your videos and retain your audience.
