If you don't kill Salter in the original HF route, you get a bad ending. If you play Suicide Squad, you get the bad ending.

Not when it's a AAA studio spending millions on a project, attention to detail helps people see that the devs actually gave a shit when making their game, while these clowns clearly didn't.
Saber Alter cannot be redeemed or saved. In fact, killing her is the kindest thing you can do for her; otherwise, you're getting a bad ending.
There’s even the Tiger Dojo in that bad end that even tells you that no, this isn’t the route where Saber gets a happy end, you *have* to bring that knife down

It still is very painful to watch Arkham Batman getting shot by Harley Quinn of all people. Not to mentioned a complete mockery to Kevin Conroy's last performance. Them getting killed by "D" listed super villians is a entire insult to the Justice League.
Yeah, it could work in an ironic sort of way that despite defeating these supervillains time and time again the person that kills him is a common thug, or despite being the only human in the JL he was the last one standing which is the most common depiction.
The biggest problem with the Harley Quinn scene is that she acts like it was Batman that tormented her when it was the Joker being the manipulator and Batman not saying anything to rebuke that and taking the bullet, in every depiction including the Arkham verse Batman tries to get Harley Quinn out of the abusive relationship.

I’m not a Fate fan at all, but that fight scene between those two characters seems like a moment between the both of them. Which makes it feel more impactful.
Meanwhile, as someone who grew up with the Arkham series. I can say that the scene with Harley and Batman felt like a moment for Harley than a proper send off.

Haven’t played Suicide Squad, but the way they killed Batman felt so awful. It’s hard to believe this is the same Arkham Batman that went through all of Origins, Asylum, City and Knight.

@@Ghost_2k While that will probably be the case, it hasn't been confirmed that any of these characters are clones.
It could have worked if:
1. they had actually revealed that these were clones during the game, instead of possibly locking it behind battle passes and hours of additional grinding
2. these psychopaths didn't take such pleasure in murdering the heroes. If the SS killed Batman and the others to save innocent people or other heroes, we might be able to write that off as a tragedy. Instead, we get this sociopathic glee as our heroes are butchered.
It is very mean-spirited and we hate it, hence why the game lost 200 million dollars. I hope that RINO (Rocksteady In Name Only) dies with this game.

Cortana’s death In Halo Infinite will always be one of the worst corrupted characters being killed off in my book. It wasn’t nearly as bad as Batman in Suicide Squad but it was still abismal. You don’t even learn that she was corrupted until a book that came out three years later so it’s painted like she just turned evil because. The game tries to handle her death well but they drop the ball at the starting line by killing her offscreen before the game even begins

I have no idea what 343 and Microsoft want to do with Halo, but they sure know how to kill it worse than Star Wars with the Sequels.
The trick is to have the characters ending their suffering feel the same emotions the audience does. Obviously its a case by case basis, but the audience has far more respect for Batman then Harley or any member of the squad. Everyone watched is bummed out, the only person who isn't reading the room is Harley herself.

As much as Saber/Artoria didn't deserve to die, she had to. It was the only way to win, and the only way to free her. Plus, she is an incarnated ghost. She already lived her life, and left a permanent mark in western and human history in general, bringing her back to life and dangling an answer to fix her regrets was in hindsight far more cruel.
Never thought I'd see Saber Alter in an Arkham Batman comparison, but I'm here for it.
Salter's death is a heartbreaker, while Arkham Batman's death is a slap to the face.

It makes sense that Shirou could kill Salter here because he is the most powerful version of Shirou from all the three iterations (even though Salter is also the most powerful) and he fought along another strong hero.
It doesn't make sense on betme because they are all villains you'd find in a batman netflix series.

Haven't watch the video because of 2mins ads but I agreed, if you want to kill a loveable yet turn corrupted character you make it emotional or with a style.
That entire Medusa and Shiro vs Artoria it's just a masterpiece of a fight scene(music, sfx, vfx, camera movement, camera angle, the dialogue) it's just perfect
Even gotham knights batman being brainwashed by the lazorous pit still manges to make a good sacrifice

@mat-ys2gl Fate/Stay Night visual novel. Then, you can consume anything else from there. I recommend Hollow Ataraxia. You can also watch/read Fate/Zero, but it's an alternate-reality prequel, so I wouldn't give it as much importance. You can aslo watch the adaptations.

@@mat-ys2glchronologically Fate/Zero is the prequel. Then technically the 3 Fate/Stay Nights are just different story routes but you’re supposed to consume them in a certain order. There’s 2006 (you have the option to skip because it’s not a great adaptation), Unlimited Blade Works (can go here after Zero because it was done in a way where it doesn’t need context from the 2006 show, and then the Heavens Feel Trilogy. Then you can watch whatever Fate you want after that.

It's heartbreaking seeing such a pure character like Saber being corrupted and evilly used, so her death here seems rather like a salvation for her.
The plan for the seasons was to rescue the justice league from brainiac one at a time according to a few leaked voice lines, killing the league like they did was never the permanent plan

Yeah, I hate it. Brainwashed heroes should be terrifying. It would be better if the creators chose as a main cast characters who had any chance of survival, presented clashes with the heroes as an attempt to survive and run away rather than eliminate them, and ultimately defeated them in some inventive, insidious way than shooting.
@@akari6859 IMO arkham batman should have been the playable character and the protagonist of the game and the suicide squad should have been treated as mini-bosses where at first you fight just one at a time and then in the late game you fight the entire squad at once. Really the game would have been saved if they made batman especially since they decided to make the game Canon to the arkham games

I haven't played every Arkham game, and I don't even want to play SSKTJL, but I am aware of how powerful Arkham Batman is.
That being said, I found out how Batman dies in SSKTJL, and I was disappointed, to say the least. I wouldn't say it's the "most" disrespectful character death I've ever seen, but it's certainly "one" of them.

If u ask me the better script, all they need to do is to make Batman realized what's happening and takes control, even if it just for one minute, and saying what's he truly feeling about Harley and other villains, before saying to Harley "Do it"
That's why, there will be probably character growth for them, making them more willing to save the world if there is the next sequel

The only original criticism I can say about the batman death scene is that the music doesn't suit the mood. You get generic synth music that doesn't make it feel somber, and more like an average moment. Music enhances the scene whether good or bad.
Also from what I heard, Kevin was okay with this scene.

I haven't played the game so I can't really say for sure but isn't there like a major tonal difference? I'm not quite sure what's wrong but for the most part I'd say it's the fact one experiences confusion and you're supposed to show empathy, while the other is just supposed to be a badass or funny quip moment from Harley, and that reflects the tones of both media I'm guessing, but idk.
I truly love the Fate franchise especially how they handle the corrupted Saber of that fate timeline

Imagine if Batman disappeared here only to reappear after 100% the game as a secret OP super boss. With stealth, hand-to-hand combat, and fear trips. Maybe throw in some Jo Amon shenanigans that would wipe out half the player's HP or trap them in a stun lock.
Would be fitting end for Batman in my opinion; just an impossible but beatable super boss.
