- There are popular cars, there are cult icons, and then there are cars like the E63 M6, which would appear to have all the makings of a cult car, just without the actual status. Perhaps it was the design, or perhaps it was the price, or maybe it was just because the M5 had the same engine with less polarizing styling, but the V10 M6 feels all but forgotten.
So it's great to see an example like Brandon's, which is not only mint (and manual!?), but also, by some definitions, improved over factory. The already beastly V10 is stroked for greater power. Well-adjusted Air Ride suspension provides height variability and a mostly compliant ride. And a variety of cosmetic bits and bobs (including some gorgeous Forgestar wheels) gives this M6 a well-rounded feel, as though no area has been neglected.
It's the very soul of impracticality, but it's cars like Brandon's M6 that warm our hearts.
Side-note: Like Brandon mentioned in the video, he is open to selling the car. Having driven it, trust us: you should buy it.

An m6 passed me on the highway i was doing around 90, the m6 passed maby 120. Its been 1 month since then and i still cant get that sound out of my head.

@@nxtxs1zero717 Not really, the V10 in this M6 is unique. I've been around all kinds of M cars, old and new. None of those Forced Induction Inline 6's come close and neither do the V8's. Older BMW's like the 850CI with the V12 is probably the only other BMW that comes close to sounding as sexy as this. The Naturally Aspirated sound of a high-cylinder count engine is a dying breed since every manufacturer is about downsizing engines and going forced induction these days.

I love that car. I had an M5 with the V10, long story short. vanos pump went out and BMW Northlake wanted 25,300.00 to rebuilt. So I had to trade the car back to the dealer and I got an E92 M3 but that M5 is still the car I want. My biggest regret was trading the car, wish I had kept it and saved the money to rebuilt the engine. Nothing like that V10. I'm 60 years old so I'm running out of time but when I can do it I will own another before I die !
Awesome story. E60 M5 is a real gem they will never make it like they used to unfortunately.

Gerald Cole they wanted 25k for a pump?! You should’ve done some research to repair/replace at a way lesser price, of course the dealer will rip you off. They probably told you they had to order an entire new transmission assembly
BMW northlake is a joke my 03 m5 had issues that they said where related to the cats and wanted 5 grand to fix. Turned out to be $200 mafs
I feel the same, Im 20 and I couldnt afford to keep my e60 m5 so I got an e46 m3 but I'll get another m5 soon!

no fucking way. Brandon McConnell - I flew from Wisconsin to Virginia and bought my red 135i from this guy back in 2014! Small world. Good dude who has a knack for carbon fiber as it was really tastefully done on the crimson red 135i when I got it from him, and I liked his tastes in those aesthetics so much that I have since carried that flavor over to my red E92 M3 ;)

the manual gearbox in the s85 its from the m5 e39(+/-), so yeah you can "make" a manual s85

to build a manual M5/M6 is no problem.
I own one in the UK, I love the SMG, not a problem at all.
Learn something new everyday, didn't know that's why they aren't as expensive as other M cars
last part of the video where he explained it was his passion hits home to me. Many people do it to be cool, or get respect. True enthusiasts have an actual love for it despite the time, money, or loss.

Love your Car, I owned a 2008 M6 for 3 years, bought it new.. I loved that car more then my EX- wife, I don't miss her at all, but I sure do miss that car.
Brilliant video. I really love the E63 M6 or 6 in general and this one is so tastefully modded and the way his owner speaks and thinks about "their (his and his BWM)" future. Just amazing
The Theeser I agree. I originally didn't like the wheel color, but they grew on me by the end of the video, it works with the white color of the car.

This has to be one of thee most realist interviews I've watched from a car lover. Extremely awesome indeed and I loved how genuine he is about the parts he used. especially the air suspension. How many guys do u hear of uses air suspension for a functional purpose like there driveway being built too high for the front instead of the whole stanced look. Bought one of the first ones that came to my country in '05. Bought it in the special dark red they made exclusively for it and then painted it white like this one. Massive nightmare in terms of reliability but everytime someone asks me about it I say it's the number 1 non compromise/fun car I've ever had. What a brilliant machine...
And this is why you should never settle for less; strive for the better things in life! It may be hard at first but you gotta be dedicated to the hustle. Glad he got his M5

The E63 is gorgeous and one of my favorite BMW designs of all time. One of the few cars I’d consider swapping my E92 M3 for if the right manual car opportunity comes my way.

My uncle, whom I live with now, owned an 08 m6 with the 6-speed just like this except it was black on black and it was absolutely amazing. He sadly sold it last year because he no longer drove it and I wish everyday that he wouldn't have, it was the first car I learned manual on and hopefully one day I will be able to buy one just like it. Also concerning reliability he had 70k miles on it and besides regular maintenance and replacing a clutch it never gave us a single issue

Great car, I have a 2006 M6 and love the car. It has 121k on her and NO major problems.
took my '06 m6 for a 500 mile road trip, smooth, was going 110mph for most of the trip. As soon as i get home engine malfunction, brake malfunction, everything possible turns on. Took it to the shop and they said both actuators needed to be replaced. After that its back to normal. Anything can happen with this car, and you gotta dig deep in your pockets to maintain it but its like no other ride love it
