I think the problem is that most episodes aren't as good as others make it out to be at least in the perspective of others like the younger audience though IMO Seasons 3 and 4 are good while the first two are alright though I rather revisit them that most of modern South Park after Season 14 even though there are a few good episodes in that era.

The first 4 seasons get overlooked a lot, but there’s still so many great moments in the early days of South Park.
Season 3 and 4 have some of my favourite episodes like chimpokomon, tooth fairy and the red badge of gayness (the confederacy civil war)
