The white makes sort of a snow effect. That would be perfect for a tree skirt for the holidays. I love these videos, thank you so much for making them for us. I've learned so much from you, I cannot even express how thankful I am for your work.

  • @SydMountaineer

THIS VIDEO SHOWS A CORRECT WAY TO DO THIS STITCH (beginning 3rd row properly, NOT beginning with a dc and putting the post st in the proper st). Thank you for specifying the 2 chains not counting as a stitch, and for specifying where the sts go- it can be confusing with the Alpine stitch pattern, when moving on to the 3rd row, with a SC row as a 2nd row on top of a dc row, because the last sc appears to be connected to/on top of the ch2 "dc" due to how crochet sts sit on top of each other, then when starting the 3rd row, it can be confusing as to which dc stitch is the first, second, or third. I used a pattern that did not specify this, and what made it even more confusing, even though there were photos, the instructor said to make the first FPDC into the "first" dc, and the last sc of the 2nd row was not in line with either the 1st or 2nd dc because it looks "in between" and it was hard to see in the photos which dc she used, so I checked her video, and still, she did not specify, not in words and she did not show it in the video. So, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Also, this pattern can be confusing because when you're looking for the dc stitch to do your FPDC around or the one to skip, the top of the dc looks different than with other patterns because of the sc on top of it - usually, you put your hook into the RIGHT side of the top - BUT in this pattern, when you have a sc stitting on top of your dc's, it's backwards, so it makes you do a double take to make sure.

Hi Glenda, this stitch is so pretty. I started a baby blanket but the edges are curling....will this ease up with a border and maybe blocking? Or is my tension too tight? Need to go up a hook size? Pull the front post loop higher? Any tips are appreciated. Love your tutorials...I've learned so much.

I'm making a blanket 36" wide and it's curing up so much, it's irritating. Is this normal? I absolutely love how the pattern looks, but aggravated with the thing curling ups so. Will it ever lay flat? The largest piece I saw on the video was still curling.

This stitch as w the up n down stitch and the alternating posts stitch. Besides one being a triple post stitch.. are all 3 of these the same? What am I missing..? Doing wrong... 🤷🏻‍♀️
