You conveniently forgot that not even Police is taking all of Balan's statements on its face value. Had they, there would have been more accused in this case. One thing is sure, Balan is lying or not lying. We have all heard his blackmailing audio. We have all heard his lies about giving all devices to Police and how that turned up eventually. We also know how conveniently he does not have any true convincing evidence against Dileep in recording. So if you consider all these and apply your intelligence, it is better to wait for the verdict and then decide whether Balan was lying or not.
You have also conveniently forgot his opportunistic courage and conditional truthfulness. Some of them are on record. Just wait few months, and read it all from verdict. And then decide to thank his service or not. And it may be good in your interest to check, why Dileep's bail is still not cancelled and what are the grounds for the same.
