Thank you for sharing this video! I’m currently a technical recruiter, but I want to pivot into system administration and HRIS is the perfect hybrid for me.
I’m a technical recruiter as well, any luck with pivoting?
@@catherinem8409 actually yes! Not in the HRIS role I wanted to transition to, but I’m a project manager now 😊
@@jelynxo that’s great congrats!! I’m looking at project or program management as well. I’m just ready to transition out of recruiting lol
@@jelynxo good for you? Do you have a PM background? If not how did you prepare for the pivot?
Just dont take on an HRIS ADP on it. ADP likes to still think they are in the same level as the top 6.
Great video! It was very detailed. In my exerience you can get a HRIS job with a Bachelors in HR. I have no official IT background. I know a basic level of IT and picked up some troubleshooting tips. Also, the HRIS job works closely with IT so they will learn a lot from each other about IT & systems just from working together.
yeah i am really not sure where she was getting that you need an IT degree. There wasnt a single HRIS analyst job i searched up that wasn't okay with an HR degree. Every job requested either a HR or computer related degree
The salary varies, state to state. An HR Analyst can make up to $100K. Love this video, its inspiring me to also create RUclips videos on HR.
Every single job i looked up for HRIS Analyst either required a degree in either HR, Business or computer related field. I did not find any that only requested a IT or related degree
I Think we need to have HRIS Community Global.
This was helpful. After about a year of experience with HRIS, I just landed a HRIS job. Cross training is a great idea.
Great, you will become more involved in acronyms, workflows, UATs, data integrity, identifying performers, lots of documentation, ad_hoc reporting, and data integrity in high volume. Be helpful if they apply the SOX and HIPPA guidelines to it too.
Great video! Very informative!
Interviewing for an HRIS Coordinator role today yall wish me luck. It pays up to $90-95k 😭
did you end up getting it?
@@tiffanya.2097i made it to final interview but I did not get it 🥲🥲🥲
This was really helpful!
Hi I love your HR videos. I know you work in healthcare hr but I was wondering if most universities have hr departments because I would love to work as an hr professional but for an educational environment like a college campus
Thank you!! & they do!
@@CarmenGilFraguada I'm your biggest fan
Then look into UC Path for that.
Can I make 6 figures as a HRIS ANALYST
yes. absolutely.
Absolutely
Yes. Their are team projects abroad and Dubai.
Thank you for clarifying
Are there any HRIS certs I can get? My major right now is Business Administration with a concentration in HR.
Get these two for they are the origins of HR and where HRIS taking this.
Is an HR data analyst the same thing?
Similar. HRIS cross functions over to TM, PY, BN etc..as an HR, your focus will be more on data integrity and performance management on HR data on 'employee personal or job profile' alone.
Would you say that you could still get this role even though you have no IT background?
Yes
Yes. Look at jd requirements and when you pass the interview, we look pass the grey areas and look at potential and willingness to learn. I general 'weed out' the short-timers.
Is there coding on hris ?
That will depend on the needs of the company. Past HRIS roles I’ve filled have required little or no coding and we’re often supported by an IT team that would have handled the coding
