I was getting burned out at the company I worked for and had been contemplating taking a break. But then I got laid off due to covid & that’s when I really focused on RUclips & fell in love with consistently creating videos :)
It depends on the position, but of course the higher you go, the more stress you have. In my last role, I had a lot of responsibilities with very few resources. The level of stress will honestly depends on the role, team, and company you work for. If you have a good team, the less stress you are likely to have :)
Love your videos ! I can definitely sympathize with you on the demand in time smaller companies require from you vs a bigger corporations ! I am curious, have you ever worked for a family company ? And if so, what would you say are your biggest pros and cons working with them?
@@CarmenGilFraguada it really did. I was having a tough time figuring out which direction to go into. So thank you. Plus your very easy to pay attention to lol
I appreciate your videos so much! I am in school for HR management so your videos definitely help with knowing what I'm getting into and the different options I have. Thank you!
Thank you for breaking this down, you help me figure out what to look into,I can definitely see myself doing benefits HR,I already know a lot with insurances because of my medical background.
Hi Carmen, I'm an HR here in the Philippines doing US payroll since alot of western companies are outsourcing their office jobs here. I came across your channel and I just wanna say hello😊😊
I appreciate this video. It was so helpful and informative. I’m a senior majoring in Business Administration/HR Management and I’m trying to find out what position I wanna take on in HR. Could you make a video on how to get a internship in HR and what kind of internship to start off with?
Probably those with knowledge/degree(s) in Psychology would be ok in employee relations lol. Isn’t that what we do in offices? Hear somebody’s problems, act neutral and find solutions?
Hi from Paris Carmen, i’ve just found tour vidéo because i need to improve my professionnal english skills especially on HR. Your vidéo is really helpful i‘ve learned a lot on payroll and employee relation. I worked for 5 y on recruiting and now i need something more for my career. So thank you
Hi Carmen! I want to go into HR but I feel like every internship/assistant position requires some type of previous experience. ): I'm majoring in Sociology with a minor in Applied Psych + I do a lot of extracurricular activities and work part-time in retail. However, I have no professional experience. (I'm even VP of our school's SHRM Club Chapter) Can you do a video about skills and tips on acquiring an internship! I'd really appreciate it!!
I just ran across your channel and I really like these HR videos. I am getting my MBA with a specialization in HR Management. I have experience but I am looking into getting into an actual Hr role and not just have the duties. Do you have a day in the life of a Hr Manager? If not I would love to see it. New subbie!
My apologies, for some reason I just saw this! On my channel I have a playlist with all my HR videos. I think I only managed to do one week in my life video working in HR, before covid happened.
Thank you for sharing this video. I am studuing HR, but I do not much know about it. Because i do not have the experience. But I like the Employment law course. Would you please give me more info about it?
I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2025, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2025
Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.
Yes true, I have been in touch with a brokerage Advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.
My CFA NICOLE ANASTASIA PLUMLEE a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further... She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market..
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. would you please tell me that working in HR is easy for newcomers too? I have a long background in this field but not in the US and at this time we are preparing to come to America, Washington DC. I was wonder if it's possible for me to get an HR job there or should I take up some courses to be eligible such as PHR? I appreciate it if you answer my comment.
I'm currently working as Recruiter/hiring manager for a small company. Approx 300 employees (High turnover) I work with benefits assist with payroll & billing. I schedule all employees. Make sure employees certification stay current and file all certification and recertification. My title is personnel administrator. Should I negotiate title change to HR or something else. HR generalist ect??
So I wanna go into hr, but I’m not sure what branch to go into. My personality trait from the Myers’s Briggs 16 personality type is INFP-T (if that counts for something). I need help figuring out what branch of hr best suits me. Recruiting, training or culture and satisfaction?
Thank you so much. I would like to combine HR with data management and I am searching for a position which can represent this opportunity however I couldn't find any information in this video in this regard so if you have any information about this point I would appreciate to hear about it.
I'm a military human resources specialist in the army , and about to graduate AIT (advanced individual training) in 2 weeks. Do you have any tips about human resources in general?

Hi it was a really informative video. I am currently in the final year of my MBA as well as interning at a major IT firm in their HR department. But I do not wish to go ahead with recruitment, any suggestions what should I kickstart with?
Thank you for your video. Can you please give me an idea what kind of jobs I can get in H.R with a Human services degree? Do you think I need to go back to get a business degree or a certificate? Thank you in advance
Hello! I am switching gears in my career from a project accountant to the HR world and I am struggling to get a job since I lack the experience. I am willing to donate my time just to get some experience. What do you suggest I should do. Thanks for your videos, they’ve been very insightful
Hi I’m looking to go into HR. My manager is happy to support me applying for a CIPD via the the hospital I am working in. Currently I work under HR as an ESR officer . I deal with staff absence, sickness, movement of staff management etc. Prior to that is worked as an operations analysts for Deutsche bank. What advise would u give me.
I haven’t seen many HR professionals with a degree in sociology, but that doesn’t mean they’re not out there. I think psych, business & HR degrees are generally the best bet if you’re interested in a HR career.
@@CarmenGilFraguada Thank you. Looking into career paths of Sociology majors & Human Resources is a common mentioned career path. To me it doesn’t make sense how Psychology would open the door for HRM, but Sociology would not.
