I also wish they made more stuff for people who like more grounded fantasy. Most of the realistic-looking weapons in GW2 were there at launch or close to it, and look pretty dated.

Wintersday 2024 will look considerably less chilly with so many bikini/mankini wearing toons hopping around Divinity's Reach.
Heal Tempest got a massive buff, especially in WvW, addressing the biggest weakness (everything being tied to auras)...by them changing Diamond Skin to be a 2x5 cleanse on blast, which means you can run Karakosa to it's full potential with Staff Tempest.
Also added fury to feel the burn from what I recall which is a great change for tempest.
That's a great point! On its surface, Diamond Skin was a train wreck change, but when you see the possibilities of combining mechanics, skills, relics, etc. to use it creatively and to full effect, it becomes much less of a detractor.
The change that tightened the pattern and radius for Renegade's meteor drop is fantastic, particularly when you can yeet mobs into a nice tight grouping.with Mallyx.
I've got to look into that tempest power build you're talking about. Because I really don't like weaver and catalyst, and I can't always just play condi.

@@velDANTe TBH GW2 is an old game, but we still greatly enjoy playing it. Account-Wide Agony resistance would (in my opinion) encourage more new players to join and stay. I personally don't need it; I've been playing GW2 since Beta; I have all the toys.

I’m happy with the ele changes. Honestly main thing that has had me salty has just been how catalyst and hammer were designed. Recently only issue was them forgetting how ele and weaver works when designing the spear but maybe it’s not intended to be a pve weapon who knows.
But overall many of the ele changes I’ve been happy with. Also every time classes get defensive utility buffs I’m curious if they can be good handkiters afterwards and basically every class got some of those.
Bikini > Maid Outfit. Change my mind.
How to fix the green orbs:
T1 and t2 > it removes boons instead of corrupting, and it removes a number equal to stacks (2 stacks, 2 boons)
T3 and t4 > corrupts boons equals to stacks
Cm > corrupts triple the amout of stacks. Also move the portals to the back of the arena so you have more time to stop the ads

@@velDANTe bro there was a lesbian couple in the launch story with Caithe and Faolain and they added another one in LWS1 with Marjorie and Kasmeer. The idea that Guild Wars "went woke" or whatever is just stupid and, to be honest, shows that you don't actually care about GW2 lore. There have been gay people here the entire time and women have always been in super prominent roles lol.
@@jodajoda2863 Being "woke" is a post modern far left agenda, in other words being woke is to claim that straight white men are the established top of the chain and everything that has been established in the modern era needs to be brought down to usher in a socialist anarchist utopia, just because there's a gay couple does not make it woke, and honestly their handling of said gay characters have actually been pretty conservative in comparison to most others in the genre, since they're characters in a story about killing villains and dragons rather than being a social justice statement about oppression from the established system waving pride flags and blah blah blah
the only time I would have considered the game "woke" is the NB character in EOD, since being NB in and of itself is meant to challenge the established gender norms and honestly it was so easy to just ignore (seriously I don't even remember the name cause it was that forgettable)
I definitely prefer it this way and hope that the story remains this subtle with real world comparison because at the end of the day this is a game about running around and killing monsters

Im not bothered by it, but yea, a single button allowing me to toggle off literally all infusions/leges etc would be a banger.
@@GRIFFINPOLSKA You can turn LoD on and limit other players details. It does turn the infusions off at least.
@@DemethVLK Nah, they are talking about standard models from PvP which is very different. It would be really cool if that was in PvE as well.

I know it's not the point of the video, but my brother in Christ Teapot, Guild Wars 2 has never been high fantasy. Engineer exists. Rifles exist. Charr and Asura exist.
I think that's MEGA incorrect, if you compare the original artstyle of GW2 to now, it is absolute night and day in terms of the fantasy setting. GW2 definitely brings some different ideas into the mix, but steampunk engineering is not something that breaks the fantasy imo. Comparing rifles, charr and asura to glowing wings, a speedboat skiff and other such examples is crazy lol.
@@MightyTeapot I mean sure, there is a difference in some fantasy elements, but that wasn't really where I was getting at. But I dunno, as you said, wings and speedboat skiffs already exist, why is beachwear suddenly out of place? I feel like nobody complained about those; or at least not as much. Technically speaking, beachwear already existed in the game since 2013; just not as something you could wear all over the place.

Please don't encourage people to go for the swimming fusion. It is actually the single worst design system I've ever seen in any game. In fact criticize Arenanet for this as loud as you can.
1.048 million +10s and 23k gold to do it yourself. That's 234k chests to open. This should never have gotten into the game.
Yeah I don't really have any interest in the swim speed lol, but it is an interesting little test they are doing.
@@MightyTeapot This has been out for a while. The account upgrade is a great QoL idea and the infusion that benefits from the upgrade is good for repeat purchases to get on extra characters. But the number of +10s and gold you need to upgrade this is Diablo Immortal levels of terrible.
Arenanet should be openly discouraged on this one.
You tend to say the same thing 5 different ways before moving on. Not sure if this is extra fluff to lengthen your videos or you just forget what you just said and feel the need to reiterate, but it makes your videos difficult to watch. If beating a dead horse was a video.
1000s of hours Anet artists put into the launch gw2 artstyle only to be ruined by the gemstore and marketing team…
The art style of GW2 were ruined years ago when the first glitter mounts arrived. They don't give a fuck since that what will keep the game's visuals coherent, only what will sell the most gems.
How long until we have car skins for mounts, modern day clothing skins like cheer leaders, police, school uniforms, and business suits?
the only thing out of place there is that new GTA-like silvery boat skin.
@@caffynated8046 My credit card, Gems and body are ready for such when that happens.. cheerleader outfit etc would be instant purchase. ^^ And yes, also uniforms and stuff. I also bought all such cosmetics in FFXIV. So would in GW2 too. :)
People paying gems to wear a bikini when you can just remove your armor and accomplish the same thing for free. Not the brightest people
