Beard was my first, and the others seem very...I dunno, show-offy and lame in comparison. It's really weird that a few seem to gather a crowd of cheerleaders first, instead of just sitting down and eating. xD
I got into watching competitive eaters with Randy Santel but now I only watch Beard Meats Food. I realize that with Randy, when things got tough, I was always a little worried he was going to puke, and I have a real aversion to that. On the rare occasions that Adam doesn’t finish, he seems to know his limits before pushing too far.

A friend did a six pound steak challenge. He ordered well done thinking it would cook some of it out. He didn’t make it. He said he wasn’t full. The char on it made the roof of his mouth raw. When he knew he wasn’t going to finish he stopped and had steak sandwiches for lunch for a few days. Amazing again Bearded One!

Adam, is such an absolutely EPIC guy. Amazingly polite, always full of nothing but compliments, kind, packs away the food like one of the best champion food eaters ever. Stays in shape, fasts before each challenge, then, orders desert afterwards, like an absolute king. I don't usually watch any of these food challenge videos. I usually find them a waste of time, but when Adam came to my home town, Wilmington NC and he did the Lobster Roll challenge here, my daughter sent me a link. I've absolutely been stuck on your videos when I have free time.

As someone who LOVES lobster but can no longer eat it, and someone who has tried both the Doo Wop Diner’s Chubby Burger challenge and the Rosalita’s Cantina giant burrito challenge both in NJ, I thank you. This is as close as I could ever get to doing this one, mainly because I’d be heading to the hospital FOR SURE by the time you could see bread. Thankfully my allergy that has sprung up about 6 years ago is not one that causes my throat to close, but it does get me violently ill with even small amounts of shrimp or lobster. Living vicariously through your beard!

it's not a small town, it's the fastest growing city on the east coast and the most expensive to live in in the state. There are 50,000+ students between UNCW and Cape Fear Community College. The metro area is the entire county which is like 1/10th of the states coast line. There is bumper to bumper traffic here all day, every day once the temps exceed 80 degrees. Mitch McConnel and Oprah have beach houses here on figure 8 island. The set of Outer Banks was based on Wilmington, although not filmed here for whatever reason.

When I factor in all your other challenges, this one really shows how much of a struggle/challenge it was. To take 40 minutes; almost exactly 20 for the roll and 20 for the chips, is crazy. You are usually getting things down in like 15 minutes. So without being able to relate to the experience, I can somewhat assess how difficult it would have been, for it to take that long. Good job, sir! This was impressive!
I think that regardless of actual video content, his nice attitude to those he interacts with, his decency makes these videos a pleasure to watch.
