I miss my old Civic. I bought it used when it has 90K on it, put another 100K on it and it needed a head gasket so I sold it. I would love to find another one, with a 5 speed. Is yours stick? They are fun beater cars to blast around.
I don't have an answer for that. If you mean like an idiot, that has no mechanical abilities, because that part of their brain doesn't work, then probably not.
Thanks for the video, I just installed them in my 2000 hatchback. I am having an issue where whenever I go over a bump slowly, I hear a clunk from my front coilovers, at higher speed it's non existent. Any ideas on what I need to tighten? I loosened all the bushings you noted and tightened them up to factory torque specs
@@RustBeltAuto hey man turns out I was a moron and hadn't tightened my front upper control arms all the way back down after i loosened em. keep up the great work man loved your turbo build on your Civic
Yes. I found a 4 car garage shop that went out of business, and bought their 250,000 BTU Reznor furnace for cheap, converted it to propane, and put the smoke stack straight out the side of the building, instead of through the roof, double walled at the wall. It's huge. Most would think it's overkill, but I love it, because it can heat that garage up in about 5 minutes when it is -10f outside. I think it actually uses less fuel, when you don't keep a garage heated all the time.
@@RustBeltAuto holy shit thought you were going to say you have a 50,000 btu unit! You're smart, you basically have a fixed, vented propane salamander that is much more practical.
Yes. When you have to heat up a garage to do a 1 hour job, I really don't see the point of waiting 30 minutes to heat up a garage with a 50,000 BTU furnace. Those salamanders are nasty. It like bubbles your phlegm, and really screws up your lungs. The kerosene ones are disgusting. It must be vented.
Can you do a video of your heating setup? Maybe talk more about it. I heat with a double drum wood stove and it works, but it take some time to get going... Would like something like you, propane is pretty cheap and easy to store. Would appreciate a "how I heat my shop" video, thanks! OKAY BYE!
Ground control eibach are amazing!!
Awesome channel Man! Excellent work!!
Thanks hero. Enjoyed the video
Awesome video man. Super informative!

Manual EX.
I couldn’t find any hardened thicker washers in my area. Only 1.5mm zinc washers. Does it matter if I have to stack about 5 together to get 7mm?
Stack away.
@@RustBeltAuto Wouldn’t cause any issues in that many washers “shifting” up/down or anything right?
You think a non-mechanically inclined individual can do this themselves?

I dont know, and would make sure sway bar bushings, and links are good, if you have them.

You do anything for heat in that garage? I'm in Rottenchester Ny gotta love the cold as balls weather!

I was wrong. It's only 165,000 BTU ;).

Curious how off was the negative camber in the rear using 7mm washers after getting an alignment? Might need to do same thing on mine
It was where I wanted it. A little negative over stock.
@@RustBeltAuto Does the strength/type of the longer bolts needed matter for that upper control arm?
@@mrsemifixit you want about 6 to 8 working threads on a bolt.
@@RustBeltAuto Does the grade of bolt matter?
@@mrsemifixit I do believe those are all marked grade 8.
They are like 1100 dollars total new, I'm considering to buy this set for my crx.
Would it be worth it?
It is very high quality stuff. Unlike most things, you get what you pay for.
are they bouncy??
No
So, you going to trick out my 04 Odyssey too?
I can put more hail like dings in it with a ball peen hammer, so it can fly through the air like a golf ball. How about that?
Fucking awesome video
