    Did you check inside for a BMS? The dangerous part is when you are charging them. Make sure you let it sit awhile after use before charging. Those look like 21700 size cells. Charge that thing outside to be safe.

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  9 месяцев назад +2

      These dolphin cases hold 18650 cells. They have a BMS. I also bought a 40mm ammo can to house them.

    No YT video found for : What if the key is lost and key lock barrel component is housed separately such that when the top cover four screws are removed, the key lock barrel component is residing in a separate compartment housed in plastic cover adjacent to the main plastic casing? And battery is slided into the battery holder bracket of the ebike?

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  4 месяца назад

      You sure there is not a hidden screw, or retainer clips of somekind? I doubt they moulded the lock body around plastic. If I was looking at it, I bet I could take it apart.

      @@RustBeltAuto Yes, you are right. Just that when the top cover with 4 screws are removed, this cover does not reveal said lock barrel. I think the lithium block need to be pulled out and then the inner wall beside the barrel should have a screw or two holding said lock in place. I need to see if said lithium block can be pulled up as the battery is inserted into ebike battery slot

    Based on your lock picking knowledge, is there a Lishi 2-1 tool that would work on that lock?

      I have never used one of those. As simple as this lock is, you could probably rake it.

    Hello. Will there be a problem if I solder the cables coming from the battery directly to each other instead of connecting them to a lock?

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  7 месяцев назад +1

      I have not delt with one, and do not know if that switch is normally open, or normally closed. Might want to test that with a continuity tester, or ask someone else to make sure. Maybe ask on r/ebike.

      did you find out what size wafers these batteries Use???? I have been buying cheap battery replacement locks that come with 2 keys from Aliexpress about $2-$3 each and using the wafers and keys to rekey in-frame ebike battery locks as it is cheaper than even getting a second key cut. They seem to ALL use the same size wafers but I can't find the size either.

      @rjpages6078 No I haven't had any luck. I'm about to order just a bunch of different sizes and see if I get lucky.

      @RustBeltAuto  4 месяца назад

      @@allps3review there is a number on your one of a kind key then, and probably a key number attatched to the purchase of the bike. Also, it's not exactly one of a kind, being the only one in the world. It's not that special. Some other bike rolling around has your same one of a kind key, I'm surr. You can buy more from the manufacturer, so you don't have to scrap it if you loose your key. I cannot believe a locksmith cannot match one up, or grind one to fit.

    • @RustBeltAuto

      Ya. Probably not. These are very cheap cells (about 1.30$ each). Definately not worth 500$. The company however is known for building cells that are not prone to thermal runaway. 2 for 1 is a good value.
