I live on a little island off the north coast of Panama called Bocas, Del Toro. I’ve just started growing these, but have friends that are growing them. They do great here. Can’t wait to get mine to start fruiting actually really like the taste of them.

Hello! I hope you check your comments! I have this plant randomly growing in my yard next to my lemon tree. It’s definitely competing and I’m thinking of seeing if I can transplant it somewhere else! Have any advice? I know nothing about gardening
You should try Cossack Pineapple or ground cherry. If you do just beware cherries that make it to the ground if missed will grow the following year. They took over my garden.😂

Question (challenge actually lol), how do you defer the wildlife (birds, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, etc) from indulging on you fruits and veggies (without harming them), seems like pepper plants are all i can successfully harvest....also, have you tried used coffee or tea grounds in your soil mix? Can't wait for the next posting!!!!!😊

For some reason "thorns and needles" the birds, rats, possums, leave it alone.
Also it pushes out a ton of fruit that can sit on the vine a long time.
But you will get poked!!!

...we have that kind of vine here in the Philippines...but i dont recommended it the taste is awful...

We have a gooseberry which is green in color and grows on a tree and is sour.
It's called the star gooseberry.
