I don’t have a cat anymore, but I watched this video with a lump in my throat thinking about all the different ways that Sadie imprinted on me. That was 30 years ago. I don’t think I’ll ever find another pet with whom I can share such a deep and affectionate bond. I really loved that little cat. ❤
You def could find another. Ive been through it plenty. Have always had lots of animals. Sometimes not by choice, but always a joy. An animal lover always has more to give.
Yessir, the community consensus is you need a new baby. I’m 32 and have had cats and dog my entire life, and been through my share of pet deaths, some more traumatic than others, all heartbreak. But after a while, when you feel ready, there’s no shortage of animals that need a home with love and affection. From your comment, I have no doubt that your heart is big enough and full of love enough to try again. 🐈❤️
I had a stray imprint on me. One day she brought her babies to me, then left for a couple days, she came back and once she saw her babies were safe she became way more affectionate. She's an amazing cat, I have to keep her outside but she walks me to school. And waits for me near my apartments mailboxes when I get home.
@@tianavstheworld the stairs to my apartment have plywood. At the bottom on them so it acts as a house for her pluse I made her a little spot with a blanket blanket and pillow
The amount of conversations I've had with my cat is unbelievable. I ask him how his days gone and he responds with different meows as if he's actually responding. It's so adorable
My cat answers me when I ask her if she would like her special treat or do you want Temptation’s? She nudges me with her head all the time. Lies down on my lap most of the time. DeLenn is so expressive and loving
@@dianechapmanbettyboop That's adorable lol, mine responds to certain words like food, outside, and I've even taught him a few tricks. He's an awesome cat
I lost my kitty Blue a couple of months ago. I had him for 20 years and loved him like a son. He died in my arms. This video brought me to tears because he did all of these things. It makes me so happy to know that he loved me just as much as I loved him.
1. Your cat follows you around 2. You’re their sleep buddy 3. They have conversations with you 4. They groom you 5. They bite you 6. They want to make you smell like them 7. They Keep Making Biscuits on You 8. They Show You Their Belly All the Time 9. They do the "slow blink" at you 10. They purr in your presence 11. They don’t seem friendly with other people 12. They memorized your routine 13. They sit on your lap 14. You Are Their Favorite Playmate 15. You receive the most gifts from your cat
I just got my cat like not even a month ago she was very shy they said she is 8 yrs old but honestly idk about that she seems very calm at times and then very playful on her own time but she does all this expect she doesn’t sit on nobody’s lap and she bites me only there’s 6 people in my home and I get gentle bites, she only follows me and knows when I get up to go to the bathroom and ofc she’s in there and she leaves when I leave. I thought she followed me bcs I’m pregnant and she just protecting me idk but it’s interesting to me cuz she only does it with me and doesn’t rlly care to follow anybody else in the home 😭
Our female Lola does pretty much all these things to me, my husband and our youngest son....she loves everyone! Our male Loki does about half of these to me. 😂
My parents had a cat for 13 years that had been traumatized as a kitten and hid under the bed and covers most of the day. I came from California to Arkansas to visit my family and I walked in the house to lie down on the floor to see her under the bed and talk to her. Within five minutes she let me hold her, went into the bathroom with me and purred constantly. Both my parents passed away after this trip. I moved Arkansas and immediately had Kitty cat in my home with me. I'm 68 years old and had never had a pet in my life. She imprinted on me within the first couple of days in our new home. I love her, she brings me great joy, and is extremely entertaining. I actually may spoil her but that's okay because she deserves it!
My bond with my cat is very special. I never understood why people don't think cats can bond with humans. I saved her life when she was a kitten and took the time to properly bond with her and she literally never forgot a moment of it. She loves the sound of my voice (calling her name across the room or just looking at her makes her all excited and happy, she'll start kneading and trilling at me with her tail straight up) and the one time my best friend (who shes known her entire life since I got her at like 4-5 months old) had to take care of her for a week she shut down completely and refused to eat or move from a single spot in the house or make even the slightest noise...until, you guessed it, the moment I walked back into the house and called her name. She's my baby. She greets me every time she wakes up from a nap or enters a room, she follows me around the house, loves to sleep under the covers with me and knead my stomach, will even go into REM sleep while I'm holding her, and she doesn't like anyone else but me or trust anyone else but me. I am very humbled by her love and she saved my life in return when I needed her by being there for me and giving me a reason to wake up in the morning when I thought I had none. She knows whenever I am sick, or when my chronic pain flares, and she loafs on that area specifically when it does and purrs loudly to try and soothe me. She hovers when I'm sick and checks on me often. My life will not be the same when she passes, but I will enjoy every single moment I get with her until the end.
Never really understood that either. My wife has told me time and time again that you can't train a cat. To which I've said time and time again, that's bullshit. You can train a cat much like you train a child. A dog. A ferret. It just takes treats, positive reinforcement, and time. I've got my cat right now between my arms as I try to type this and he's having fun mushing down on that space bar for me.
@@Geneticspore I know you can train them. I've trained mine to respond to a specific noise so that she knows there's a bug in the house. I make the noise and she comes running looking for the bug.
I had a cat like that once. She only lived to 3. She developed a brain tumor. I loved all of my other cats, but she was special. I was devastated when she died. I couldn’t bear to get another cat for a very long time after losing her.
@@LaSpastica90 I’m so sorry to read that, 3 is so young. I completely understand your reluctance to adopt another cat, I was the same way with my Buddy. If you don’t mind me asking, did you end up adopting another kitty?
@@nicinoz eventually we did. But it was probably 5 years later. Now we have 3 awesome cats that fight over who gets to sleep next to my face each night! One morning I woke up with one sleeping on my neck! Sadie still holds a special place in my heart, but these 3 have done a lot to help me move on.
My cat, Andy, did all of these with me. He would have been 16 on 31st of this month. He had terminal cancer and was beginning to feel pain and had labored breathing. We put him to sleep. It was awful. House feels so empty without him. It feels like a very close friend and family has died. He was so wonderful and the most loving individual in my life besides my late mother.
I know it is heartbreaking to lose a pet. But when your heart heals, please give your love to a homeless pet who really needs you. Andy will be watching from the Rainbow Bridge and smiling.
Hey, just wanted to say I’m sorry for your loss. It sounds like he was around for a lot, if not all, of the pandemic. Maybe he really pushed it to last that long & only left you when he felt you’d be okay w/out him. Whatever, your love & memories of him are beautiful monument to the relationship you shared. I hope you find increasing comfort & solace every day. Finally, I’m going to pass on a gift my sister gave to me when Z died. She told me that I wouldn’t be disloyal to get a new cat. Instead, it was bc I how much I loved Z & how important she was to how I passed the day that I wanted to get a new cat. And a new cat wouldn’t be to replace Z, but to help fill a very special hole. If I had waited, I wouldn’t have had MB by my side as first my dad, then my mom died. Oh and the whole pandemic thing. If you had an abusive spouse, you might not want to marry ever again. On the other hand, if you had a great marriage, a partnership that made you a better person, why wouldn’t you want that. Maybe it’s time to look at local rescues. After all, spring is kitten season! Take care, Friend!
My aunt gave me her 8-month tabby shortly after my cat passed from a heart condition. She was moving across the country and knew he wouldn't travel well. It was difficult trying to bond with my new boy cat - he was scared of everything. For literally months, I had to coax him out of hiding, tries playing with him, and just talking to him. Almost 6 years later, and I've NEVER had a bond with a cat like I do him. Even the vets note how much he loves me at checkups. He's my baby boy ❤️🥹
I adore cats so much it hurts sometimes. Every cat I've ever had, I had a strong bond with, and I've had a few. I usually prefer adopting kittens because cats can also adopt your personality. They sometimes develop quirks unique to the person that raises them. I was so devastated when I had to move back home with my mother (different country), I couldn't take any of my cats with. It broke my heart. In 2020 I got back on my feet and was able to get a place of my own. The place I moved into already had a tenant. She is now my best friend. Her name is Anushka and she is an adult tabby. The way I introduced myself to her properly, while slowly moving in, was lying on my stomach on the floor. After a short while she came to me and lay on my back. I was like that for over an hour. After that, we shared sushi. I will do anything for her. She doesn't play with anything unless it's a living mouse, lizard or a shoelace. Anushka has access to bushy area where it's teeming with mice and I encourage it. For one, she's less bored and secondly, it's a part of her diet. She makes note of my shift. So, when I come home, she's already waiting for me. She grooms me a lot and I love it. I don't stop her. The tongue doesn't bother me. We cuddle and play often. She is very verbal. I can distinguish between when she want's food, to play, a treat, go for a walk or just wants to talk. She's a more relaxed cat, which is good for me now. Our personalities just gel together, it's amazing. The best part is, she's better than a guard dog. Sure, she might not bite or anything like that, but Anushka has prevented two home invasions already. She made me aware of both times and each time I was able to avert disaster. She keeps me safe just as much as I keep her safe. She gives me head bumps and kisses, and she enjoys getting kisses from me. She doesn't exactly follow me around all the time. Mostly because I tell her not to. Not to be mean, but I want her to be comfortable and if she knows I'm only going to get up and leave for a moment, she remains where she is. There are days though where she will follow me everywhere and even prevent me from going to work. When I was in a bad situation last year in September, it was hard on both of us. I was in the hospital while my mom was looking after Anushka. She told me, Anushka didn't react to her at all. All she did was run around looking for me. She even lost weight. It broke my heart. I love her so much. Not only Anushka, but cats in general. I have ASD and to me, my cats were always my family. I never shared a bond with any member of my family like I have with my cats. I am happiest around them. If anyone actually read this to the end, Go bless you and may you cat rain kisses on your face.
Your post deeply touched me. I’m so very happy you have your cat! This sounds like such a rewarding and loving relationship…for you and Anushka! Thank you for sharing! God bless both of you! ♥️
Hi Gabby. I did read this to the end! I know what you mean, cats are my soul and heart. I’ve had cats my whole life and they have done all of the things this video has talked about. They all have a special place in my heart and they all had distinctive personalities. I hate it when people say I’m crazy for liking cats more than dogs. Cats may not give you attention all the time like dogs but when I lost my job years ago and I was crying, my cats got in my lap and put their paws on my heart. 🥰😍
Thank you for the post. I feel ya. My kitty has opened my heart in so many ways. I used to think having a cat was not "manly." Now, I understand being secure with myself, and having love is more manly. May many blessings fall upon you.
I was never a cat person. Then, in 2008, I met a beautiful boy called Buddy. He completely changed my life and I loved him more than I’ve ever loved a human being. Bud died in Dec of 2021, and his loss nearly killed me. I cried every single day for a year because the grief was so intense. My heart was raw, but God had plans for me. I met Frankie 4 months ago, and he filled the hole in my heart, my life, and my house. I never thought I’d be able to love another cat, but Frankie has completely won me over. I think Buddy will always be the love of my life, but I know that I will never be without a cat ever again.
My mom cat will eat at 8pm and then at 9pm you’ll hear him Meow from my mom’s bedroom to signal her that it’s bed time 🤣🤣. My mom is like see?!? I can’t even enjoy the evening in my living room, my cat is telling me to go to sleep 🤣🤣
I have my kitty for 5 days now. She does almost everything from this video (purring, walking with me, sitting on my lap, biting me, showing her stomach). I am proud of myself!
My cat is my shadow. She is EVERYWHERE I am. You never have to wonder where she is, cause she is always within feet of me. She sleeps with me everytime, even when I nap. I can’t get rid of her! And it I DARE try to ignore her, she will meow pitifully until I give her all the love again. Cats are so precious 🥰
My girl does that too. It doesn't matter what room I'm in, she's with me. If I'm in bed, she always lays on the side my face is and never behind me. I love most animals but cats are my absolute favorite!
My baby girl, Stormy, imprinted on my the moment she was born, she was with me through everything and I held her as she went to the rainbow bridge, I even sang her favorite sang to make her journey safer. I still cry even though it's been about two years now, she was a beautiful 16 year old tuxedo with green green eyes.
I live in a very rural area and all the cats I've had since retiring and moving here have been ones that were tossed out along the roadway and became feral. My oldest ones now are two 17 y.o.fixed brothers and a year old female. She showed up as an orphaned baby and the old guys have tried to parent and teach her. They all are affectionate in their own way. It's very touching how caring they are with me and each other and very expressive.
You know, I'm happy! I just adopted my cat last weekend and he's doing all those things in the video towards me! Just now, he sat next to me, leaning on me. I know it might be because there's no other people, just me and my cat at home but still.. we've been together for just 3 days! I love him! ✨🐈⬛
My orange tabby is not aloof by any means. He is soo invested in EVERYTHING we are doing. 😂 He talks ALOT and acts like a toddler! He’s five and still sounds like a kitten. He so funny and has the same mannerisms as his golden retriever big brother. They are so sweet together as well. 🥰
My dear, departed Baxie had to be bottle fed when I got her. What a special time. Fast forward eight years to me coming home from a 10 day trip. As I opened the door I say, "Mommy's home! Mommy's home!" Baxie jumped into my arms and yelled "MOM!!!" just as plain as day. Oh, how I miss my baby girl! 😻
I've had my fur baby since she was four months... She is 14 plus now... She constantly steals my pillows...I can't go anywhere without her talking to me... When she actually gets my hand she doesn't let go and drools and chews all over it... She head bumps me... She is always asking for belly rubs... ❤❤
many years ago my parents found a kitten in our front yard, most likely left there by her mom. after lots of consideration.. we kept her. she's basically only known us. i'm her best friend, the one she's closest to, but she also loves both of my parents and clearly shows it. she doesn't particularly enjoy being carried especially not for a long time but she will often let us do so anyway, i really love giving her hugs. she's pretty much copied our behaviors towards her where, i'm very gentle and she is with me as well. my dad is the playful one who will tease her so she's not scared of giving him a few scratches. my mom is more distant because she has allergies and she mostly respects that but she will follow her everywhere often and since she's the one giving her food usually, she gets the gifts. also, i've always given her little kisses on her forehead (at least from the point where i felt she was gentle enough not to attack my face) and eventually, she actually started giving kisses back. almost every time i give her one, she will lick my forehead and bite it gently. she's the most precious little cat, i love her so much
This video is not only heartwarming with the clips of cats bonding with their humans, and adorable in its animated segments, but is really informative for those who might have less experience with kitties. While cats' behaviors can vary (e.g., neither of my current cats is much of a 'lap cat'), most of these 15 signs are joys I've experienced with every cat pet (such as biscuit-making and head-bunting). I love my computer-desk visits and laundry 'helper', and I've accepted my bathroom-companion; it's all part of that awesome imprint bond.
I don't care for the bathroom visits,as I get embarrassed around my cat Drake for some reason,so he's adopted laying in the tub behind the curtain until I leave then run after me... I love ❤️ him and Delilah dearly
Our 18yo snowshoe Siamese (who we adopted at 14) follows my husband and I around the house and chats with us all day!! We literally call her our child because she acts like it and we treat her as such lol we cherish every day we have with our old lady baby ❤️
My first cat I got on my own as an adult we adopted at 15! He slept on me, followed me around and had so much trust in me ❤️ He made it to 25 before he passed. I miss him.
Good for you for adopting a senior cat!!! I love to see that! It’s so hard to find homes for seniors and they deserve safe loving homes just like all other animals. So lovely of you to give her just that! Sending love to you and your kitty ❤️
I'm watching this with my cat sleeping in between my legs, as she does ever since I adopted her. The little fur ball has shown me a deep, heart warming, kind of love that I didn't know before. I always had dogs and I love them with all my heart as well. But I'm specially fascinated by cats, their behavior, their love language, the way they do everything just makes me love them even more and more. I'm definitely a cat person, but I didn't know that until I met my cat, since my dad has never let me get one while I was growing up (he thought cats carried diseases and were violent, all this bullsh*t), but little did I knew, the signs were clear... I always preferred cat characters in cartoons, always choose cat themed stuff such as bedding, notebooks and shirts, my phone and computer wallpapers frequently were pictures of cats.... And now that a real cat has changed my life in such a incredible way, I'm so thankful to have her with me, and I don't see me ever stop being a cat lover and having cats for all my life. I love learning more about them, this video definitely made my day happier ❤
My cat goes everywhere with me. Even in the tub! I take him in the car, in stores,he stands in the cart with his front feet facing forward and looks at everyone and everything. He acts more like a dog.
This is so true. Years ago I was dating this guy and my cat didn't like him. He actually sprayed me to mark me as his territory when the guy was visiting me once. It was strange and I was confused at the time. But I found out that he wasn't a good guy and my cat was trying to tell me this. He loved just about everyone especially kids and babies. He always had to be center of attention. I miss that boy!
My kitten does basically all of these things!! In fact, as I was watching this video. She was laying on my arm, belly showing, and purring until she fell asleep. I knew exactly when she fell asleep because she stopped purring when I pet her. I love my little Maggie ❤
Never owned a cat, but years ago I house sat for a couple that had 3 cats. 2 were indoor, and one would spend its days outside. Well on the last night I was going to be there, I was “gifted” a small squirrel. The couple’s neighbors explained to me how much the cat must’ve loved me and appreciated my efforts for those 2wks
Lol I have all boys too. Trust when I say they're all mamas boys lol....I don't know how it happened that I only have boy cats but they're seriously the best.
Husband and I have a male tuxedo boy cat. He loves both both of us for sure, and loves getting pets from us. But our boy most definitely is more imprinted on my husband. He follows him into the bathroom, cuddles with him on the couch, and is more confident when my husband holds him. It’s adorable.
my best friend gave me a kitten from her litter 3 years ago during a super rough time in my life to give me something to take care of and feel like i had 'purpose', i guess, i named him Marvin and he took care of me instead. i stg this cat saved my life and continues to save my life every day, he's my best friend, this bond and the love we have is so special and so different than with anyone or anything else🥰 i always say i'll never get another cat cuz this bond can never be replaced
We had a little cat named birdie when I was a teen, and she was probably the sweetest cat I've ever had. She would literally do rounds in our house where she would sleep with each member for about a week and then switch. It was a very specific pattern. She would sleep with me, then my sister, then my dad, then back to me.
My cat used to sleep on me no matter what position I'm in. Laying down? Right on my chest. Sleeping on my side? She'd sit on my hip. On my stomach? Already walking onto my back to get comfy. She was my best friend through most of my schooling, and I miss her so much
My cat Lelouch does every one of these. He was rescued off the street when he was just 6 weeks old. He had lost his mother and siblings. When my neighbor gave him to me two years ago, he immediately started exhibiting all of these behaviors, especially the kneading and the showing of his belly constantly. He still does it. And whenever I go to the bathroom, he's like a black shadow that constantly follows me everywhere. He changed my world when I was gifted him when I was depressed and sad about my other cat that had died of old age. I will always treasure my boy and that memory. Now I know why he always does those things. He also always sleeps with me and snuggles.
My cat was loving up on me being super adorable while I watched this, this video made me happy and appreciate my little soul animal, she's perfect in every way for me🥰 i feel lucky and blessed to have such a close bond with her
I would say that domesticated mammals are special because they are capable of SECONDARY imprinting, since their MOTHER was obviously the first imprint target.
I adopted my two cats when they were just a few weeks old. They sleep in my bed with me and want to be with me all the time. They’re like my fuzzy babies ❤
This is a well made video. The narrator's voice is clear and easy to listen to. The visual effects are great. I like that there's cartoon like depictions as well as real life pics. And also the tooic is interesting!
Years ago we lived near some fields and mice were plentiful. Our cat must have had a particularly successful hunt one summer night as we watched him moving about on the garden path and carefully arranging and rearranging half a dozen mice by order of size.
With respect to #4 they've memorized your schedule. My wife has an orange tabby who has not only memorized my scheduled but gets thoroughly pushy when I deviate from it. :P
They are such like children and have to have a routine. My dog is like this also. If I deviate with this, she will quickly remind me that's not how it works!
That's definitely me and my Prissy...she's the perfect cat. I couldn't love her more...just this morning my meds alarm was going off and I wasn't waking up she left out a loud meow and nudged me in the head to wake me...she did this twice until I responded....she follows me around the house all day everyday and if I'm home we are almost always together...she's always laying on my lap...if I leave she walks around the house with one of my hair ties in her mouth crying...(it's pityful.) I couldn't ask for a better friend...I love her more then most people
From the first time at the shelter/vet my Sassy bounded with me as I did her. She follow my voice as I walked through the halls and when I was near the glass window her head would follow in my direction. We are this video to the tee. Ty for sharing this information to us cat lovers and those who plan being that special person
My sisters cat has imprinted on me. He follows we around everyday, he’s got my routine down better than me, and we always chat. He’s a former street cat and a bit anti-social, but we’re attached! Love that dude!
I never had cats but I live with my son who has 3 and I am living with them now and they follow me, cry outside my door when I’m not home, try and open the door to get in.Two of the 3 love being on my bed .So we have accepted each other as I love them and buy them treats and toys. Who knew?
My wee black kitten is purring and cuddling under my chin as we watch this. Yes, we, we're a package deal who both enjoy RUclips together 😂 my little shadow who follows me around everywhere. In the evening when we're winding down, she goes straight to my chest/neck for cuddle time. We've been bonded since day 1. She's my best friend! Her name is Juno. 😊
Watching this because my cat sat on my lap for the first time ever, I've had her for 6 years so far. She's been laying on my a lot more often! Its adorable!
This video is very well done and accurate! Cats can be and often are very social and loving creatures. They aren't all aloof and standoffish as sometimes people believe. To me, it seems like they are misunderstood, especially if someone tries to compare them to dogs. They have their own set of behaviors and show love their own way. A cat will generally do what they want and you have to earn their trust and love. My ex-boyfriend didn't understand my cat's behaviors and was very confused at times because he is used to being around dogs. It was eye opening to know how a dog person views a cat especially if they aren't around them much.
My family and I have 6 cats and all of them do do these things. We've raised all of them from kittens. I work a lot and I'll come home to toys under my bedroom door and they also will wait for me to open my door so they can come into my room and both look out the window in my room and burrow in my blankets and chill with me
Wherever I am in the house, my cat is always there. She's slept either right next to or right on me since the day I brought her home from the shelter. If I'm not feeling well, she doesn't leave my side except for food and her litter box. I love my sweet little girl! 🥰
This video made me feel so loved. I always kinda knew but this really helped drive it home. I didn't pick her, She picked me and I'm so glad she did. Love ya Whiskers 😻
My Rose, often times, will walk ahead of me, as if she knows where I'm going. It's as if she's reading my mind. She will sometimes rub her head on my feet if I'm standing still or sitting down.
My cat does every single one of the things listed lol she’s attached to my hip😅 adopted her when she was only 2 months old and we’ve been inseparable since (for context she’s turning 6 years old). Cats are truly special creatures
My cat knows I’m going to sleep when I turn off the lamp by the bedside and turn to my side,as soon as I do that she realizes I’m going to sleep and she comes running to cuddle and if I don’t open my arms to let her lay down to spoon with me then she starts tapping on my arms to hug her. I went through a divorce a few years ago and it was lonely sleeping alone but once she started sleeping with me I no longer get depressed or sad at bedtime or in the morning when I wake up
Some of the time when my buddy purrs he has different purring sounds I never heard from another cat before. And I've been around ALOT of cats my whole life. Family cat, my sister's cat, my own cats. But he is the only one with these multiple different purr sounds at the same time. Some of the time he does have a normal purr like other cats. But when he does this other purring it sounds almost like music to me. I love it!!!
I raised one of my cats since she was a kitten. I bottle fed her and everything. She’s alot more connected to me than the other cats. She tends to cry, like meow really loud whenever I leave the room. Or she’ll follow me. When I come back she gets happy and rubs my legs. She also sleeps on the pillow next to mine, and she loves to cuddle with me.
My little kitty knows her name, talks to me, likes to follow me to the other side of the yard, waits for me when I come home, and will search me out for affection. I love her, She has known me since she was a very small kitten. That is when I gave her name and made a particular sound for food.
My 22year old cat does all of this to almost everyone he meets! Rofl since birth hahaha. He sleeps alot now now his 10year old sister greets me when i get up, comes w me to wake up our son and then she wakes the old cat for morning snuggles. Lol she is very vocal and super shy. She is much more choosey w who she will come out of hiding for. But she loves her fam. ♡
My orange cat does all of these except trying to groom me. He's the sweetest 💗 I love when I come home cause his tail starts vibrating and he starts rubbing all over me
My ginger cat don't do a lot of these anymore. He used to sleep on me, make biscuits and wanna hang out as close as possible with me but now he's in his independence phase. He still calls for me but overall, he likes his personal space. He will still hang out in the same room as me, follow me around, play with me but no more cuddles. He does like getting pets and purrs like a little engine that could.
Words alone are not enough, but thank god he put people like you on this cruel planet, long may people like you be there for these unfortunate animals, god bless you
Incredibly true! My new outside stray rescued cat follows me everywhere...I call him my velcro cat. He actually snuggles and puts his head on the pillow next to me and always meows back. Lol 💜
My cat I had while growing up was very bonded. Everyone thought it was strange, but we actually took her camping with us all the time, and we would always wake up to a nice pile of dead shrews left outside our tent for us 😂 She was very proud of herself.
My two cats growing up did many of these things. Puff, the Maincoon and Muffin the Siamese had two great but different personalities. I think of them often when i get depressed or feeling bad. The thoughts are better than any other cure for not feeling good.
Seeing this video make me feel so much joy. I love my cat so much and I would do anything in my power to protect and care for him no matter what. And the fact that I know that he loves me soooooooo soooo much right back I’m so greatful. Everything you said in this video he does to me. He chose me and I chose him. He’s so sweet to me, gosh I wish I could put it into words what I’m trying to say. My cat is a gift from the lord Jesus Christ.
The routine thing is insane for my nineteen year old cat. He is conditioned to respond to hearing the kitchen faucet, because he knows I am out with my door open. He directly sits next to my door, sometimes for over half a hour, and my parents have figured out to let him in. He also sleeps around the schedule.
I sit hunched over and my 4 year old cat lays/sleeps on my in the middle of my shoulders and back of neck vary top of my back I value that love more then anything a dog dose
Awe!!! I love this video! Both of my cats follows me to the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen & living room, both of them sleep with me in my bed, my other cat jumps on my bathroom counter and then he climbs onto my chest and lays on me and loves it when I hold him while standing up. One of my cats love making biscuits on me. I love the biscuits! Both of them show me their bellies! ☺️❤️🥰
My cat has lived 13 years with me. In addition to whatever is told, he used to bring me whatever he had hunted and also he usually waits outside bathroom when I go inside there!🐱
I don’t have a cat anymore, but I watched this video with a lump in my throat thinking about all the different ways that Sadie imprinted on me. That was 30 years ago. I don’t think I’ll ever find another pet with whom I can share such a deep and affectionate bond. I really loved that little cat. ❤
Get a new cat
You def could find another. Ive been through it plenty. Have always had lots of animals. Sometimes not by choice, but always a joy. An animal lover always has more to give.
The community has spoken and needs you to get another cat. ❤ you will love the kitty regardless.
There is a cat out there that needs you. Do it for them.
I had a stray imprint on me. One day she brought her babies to me, then left for a couple days, she came back and once she saw her babies were safe she became way more affectionate. She's an amazing cat, I have to keep her outside but she walks me to school. And waits for me near my apartments mailboxes when I get home.
Aweee that's so sweet
make them a little house to stay warm in 🥺
@@tianavstheworld the stairs to my apartment have plywood. At the bottom on them so it acts as a house for her pluse I made her a little spot with a blanket blanket and pillow
@@soggytomales893you’re a good person
Are you in a warm climate? I was wondering about cold nights.
@Maggie Smiles Thank you I appreciate it, I try to be the best owner I can for my little boy 😌
@@dianechapmanbettyboop That's adorable lol, mine responds to certain words like food, outside, and I've even taught him a few tricks. He's an awesome cat
Haha! Same! I have conversations with my cat and we understand each other. 😂
I always say I talk to my dog but I have full on conversations with my cat.
I lost my kitty Blue a couple of months ago. I had him for 20 years and loved him like a son. He died in my arms. This video brought me to tears because he did all of these things. It makes me so happy to know that he loved me just as much as I loved him.
😢😢😢
May he rest in peace. Blue shall await for you in heaven.
I'm so very sorry for your loss, love.
Blue will one day cross the rainbow and meet you in glory!
Aww blue😢 R.i.P little buddy🙏🏼🕊❤️🩹
I already knew every one of these signs would apply to my cats but hearing this still made me feel good

Thank you for typing that all out. 😊
Thank you for typing this all out 😊
My parents had a cat for 13 years that had been traumatized as a kitten and hid under the bed and covers most of the day.
❤
😢 iam so sorry
She deserves to be spoiled! Bless you for everything you’ve done for that precious kitty!
Sorry for the loss of your parents, praying for you and your new fur baby ❤
I am definitely my cat’s mother.
I never had an animal that love me so much. I feel so special. 😊
You are missed Andy ❤
My aunt gave me her 8-month tabby shortly after my cat passed from a heart condition. She was moving across the country and knew he wouldn't travel well. It was difficult trying to bond with my new boy cat - he was scared of everything. For literally months, I had to coax him out of hiding, tries playing with him, and just talking to him. Almost 6 years later, and I've NEVER had a bond with a cat like I do him. Even the vets note how much he loves me at checkups. He's my baby boy ❤️🥹
I have a little cat that terrified of everything, lucky my other cat tends to be fearless and both cat have a strong bond.
He is lucky to have you and lucky you didn't give up on him.
💚
So sorry to hear your loss dear😔
Do you mind if I ask what heart issue your cat had?
Soooo sweet.
My cat used to do almost all of these, Rest In Peace, Pepper. 😿
He's not dead
There is a meow heaven 🐈🐈🐈🐈❤️❤️❤️❤️
Did your cat also pass away......?....I have not overcome yet.....
Sorry for your loss
Worse memory ever I get it in John Wicks voice
@Nicole I'm sorry 4 your loss. Buddy must be a cool kitty. I'm happy for you.
There’s no more hilarious than having a late night conversation then suddenly my cat walks into the room to signal it’s time for bed 😂
happens to me so many times, my cat always wants me to follow to my bed
Lol oof sounds like my cat when I'm using the toilet she just walks right on in and wants attention, or when I'm in the tub, taking a bath xd.
When we visit my dad, half way through the evening my cat signals my mum it’s time for bed
Mine come get me and lead me to my bedroom 😅, she always lead me somewhere whenever she wants something
I have my kitty for 5 days now. She does almost everything from this video (purring, walking with me, sitting on my lap, biting me, showing her stomach). I am proud of myself!
Hows the kitty, is she still doing all those things? I just got mine like 3 days ago and she does all those things as well.
Mine is exactly the same, i can't live without her, cats are a gift to humans
My girl does that too. It doesn't matter what room I'm in, she's with me. If I'm in bed, she always lays on the side my face is and never behind me. I love most animals but cats are my absolute favorite!
My baby girl, Stormy, imprinted on my the moment she was born, she was with me through everything and I held her as she went to the rainbow bridge, I even sang her favorite sang to make her journey safer. I still cry even though it's been about two years now, she was a beautiful 16 year old tuxedo with green green eyes.
Hi, I lost my Stromy two years ago too. Fifteen years was not enough...
you made me cry
I know how you feel. I still cry too.
I still cry over my beautiful black cat Sasha! I had her for 22 years, I sang to her when she was passing in my arms!! I understand your pain..❤
why did u have to describe it like that omgg😭😭😭😭😭
All my cats have been feral. Taken off the streets of Philadelphia and they all think I’m Mom. I’m VERY blessed. 🙏🏼♥️☮️🕊
My cat will literally meow and make me follow her to the couch just so she can cuddle and it's freaking adorable 😭
Mine too!
Nothing beats cat cuddles ❤
Same! I know when my cat wants to cuddle because he will sit and stare at me until I sit/lay down to join me!
The same here
You know, I'm happy! I just adopted my cat last weekend and he's doing all those things in the video towards me! Just now, he sat next to me, leaning on me. I know it might be because there's no other people, just me and my cat at home but still.. we've been together for just 3 days! I love him! ✨🐈⬛
That is so cute :) I hope you two turn into best friends!
Hes a lucky little guy to have you and is grateful. I wish many, many years of love and happiness, health and joy for you and your cat. ❤️
Hope you all have a long happy life together 🎉❤Congratulations
That's so adorable! He definitely loves you and totally trusts you already!

I utilize slow blinking constantly at the shelter I volunteer at and it helps so much to make them more comfortable!
Hopefully you mean an animal shelter!
this is so sweet 😭
I've had my fur baby since she was four months... She is 14 plus now... She constantly steals my pillows...I can't go anywhere without her talking to me... When she actually gets my hand she doesn't let go and drools and chews all over it... She head bumps me... She is always asking for belly rubs... ❤❤
this entire video fed my ego so bad. can't believe i found a cat that loves me this much and vise versa 🤭❤️

Wow smart cat
Happened to me yesterday
many years ago my parents found a kitten in our front yard, most likely left there by her mom. after lots of consideration.. we kept her. she's basically only known us. i'm her best friend, the one she's closest to, but she also loves both of my parents and clearly shows it. she doesn't particularly enjoy being carried especially not for a long time but she will often let us do so anyway, i really love giving her hugs. she's pretty much copied our behaviors towards her where, i'm very gentle and she is with me as well. my dad is the playful one who will tease her so she's not scared of giving him a few scratches. my mom is more distant because she has allergies and she mostly respects that but she will follow her everywhere often and since she's the one giving her food usually, she gets the gifts.
also, i've always given her little kisses on her forehead (at least from the point where i felt she was gentle enough not to attack my face) and eventually, she actually started giving kisses back. almost every time i give her one, she will lick my forehead and bite it gently.
she's the most precious little cat, i love her so much
Just watching cats can make you happy.
Our sweet cats do all of these sweet marking gestures. Every moment that they spend with me is truly enjoyable and appreciate. ♥️🐾
I love reading the comments everybody leaves about their own cat ❤
But have to find the solution to cat waste
My cat goes everywhere with me. Even in the tub! I take him in the car, in stores,he stands in the cart with his front feet facing forward and looks at everyone and everything. He acts more like a dog.
My cat brings rats alot
That's so cool! My cat is afraid of the outside world. When ever I open a window to let some air in she goes in another room.
Lol. My kids have my cat running around chasing a ball like a dog lol
As a ferel cat's father I will tell the world always trust your cat, she's always right just like your mother.
My mom is about as right as a broken clock… 🤔
I watched this video with a sole purpose of saying “yes” to almost every one of these
I have 3 cats, and they all do everything on this list. I feel so popular when it comes to my boys
Lol I have all boys too. Trust when I say they're all mamas boys lol....I don't know how it happened that I only have boy cats but they're seriously the best.
I'm just a weekend buddy of my dad's cat, but she still does many of the things on this list! I'm glad she sees me as a family member 🥰
Yeah this video is more of a "signs a cat is comfortable with you" rather than imprinting. Lmfao.
I meow back to my cat and she loves it. Never knew they’d think of it as a sign of affection.
I have long meow meow conversations with my cats. My neighbours must think I'm mental meowing back at them from outside when I get home
My cat was loving up on me being super adorable while I watched this, this video made me happy and appreciate my little soul animal, she's perfect in every way for me🥰 i feel lucky and blessed to have such a close bond with her
I love how it starts with "Imprinting is common in mammals" while it shows a duck and ducklings...:D
I would say that domesticated mammals are special because they are capable of SECONDARY imprinting, since their MOTHER was obviously the first imprint target.
I thought the same thing! 😂
I feel even more loved after watching this! I’ve got 8 of them 🥰❤️
Lucky you! They must all have to fight each other for the pleasure of your attention..
I have 9. Aren't they funny? I like the asmr at feeding time, lol.
This literally makes me love them more
Years ago we lived near some fields and mice were plentiful. Our cat must have had a particularly successful hunt one summer night as we watched him moving about on the garden path and carefully arranging and rearranging half a dozen mice by order of size.
❤
With respect to #4 they've memorized your schedule. My wife has an orange tabby who has not only memorized my scheduled but gets thoroughly pushy when I deviate from it. :P
They are such like children and have to have a routine. My dog is like this also. If I deviate with this, she will quickly remind me that's not how it works!
This video made me feel good about myself ☺️
Can we talk about how awfully cute that one eye cat is 😍
My sisters cat has imprinted on me. He follows we around everyday, he’s got my routine down better than me, and we always chat. He’s a former street cat and a bit anti-social, but we’re attached! Love that dude!
I never had cats but I live with my son who has 3 and I am
living with them now and they follow me, cry outside my door when I’m not home, try and open the door to get in.Two of the 3 love being on my bed .So we have accepted each other as I love them and buy them treats and toys.
2:40 can confirm - one of my cats meows back as if we're conversing.
You are conversing!
They are so clever......
I work a lot and I'll come home to toys under my bedroom door and they also will wait for me to open my door so they can come into my room and both look out the window in my room and burrow in my blankets and chill with me
I couldn't be happier to see that our cat does this with both my wife and myself.
Cats are amazing and all I've known are loving. They enjoy being with you, but also have a distinct independence. ♥️
I went through a divorce a few years ago and it was lonely sleeping alone but once she started sleeping with me I no longer get depressed or sad at bedtime or in the morning when I wake up
Watching this and knowing my cat does most of it to me, aww i'm crying
my cat was cuddling me, pushing her head on me and purring while i watched this. i cried the whole time lol she does all of these
Some of the time when my buddy purrs he has different purring sounds I never heard from another cat before. And I've been around ALOT of cats my whole life. Family cat, my sister's cat, my own cats. But he is the only one with these multiple different purr sounds at the same time. Some of the time he does have a normal purr like other cats. But when he does this other purring it sounds almost like music to me. I love it!!!
So special 😍😭
My baby is literally laying on his back right by my legs while I'm watching this and it's the cutest. He's definitely imprinted on me
My 22year old cat does all of this to almost everyone he meets!
He's the sweetest 💗 I love when I come home cause his tail starts vibrating and he starts rubbing all over me
Ginger cats are handsome and great friends.
My big cat did all this. I loved that cat, and after hearing this its comforting to know he loved me back
Words alone are not enough, but thank god he put people like you on this cruel planet, long may people like you be there for these unfortunate animals, god bless you
Incredibly true! My new outside stray rescued cat follows me everywhere...I call him my velcro cat. He actually snuggles and puts his head on the pillow next to me and always meows back. Lol 💜
All ten of my cats are exactly like this with me. I love em all and wish I could rescue more
My cat I had while growing up was very bonded.
Two of my cats literally do all of this and it makes me so happy 😁
I can't have 5mins to myself. Lol, I love her. ❤️
My cat does all of this. Now I know he is my friend for life.
both of my cats do all of these things and I've never been happier
Cool. My cat does all that with me. Makes me feel literally like a mama cat. ❤
Mama? Is that you?
@@rfctdg9988 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
See ? He even follows me on RUclips 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
all the cats we had do this and i love them very much with my whole heart.
My cat has lived 13 years with me. In addition to whatever is told, he used to bring me whatever he had hunted and also he usually waits outside bathroom when I go inside there!🐱
I moved my cat bed next to my bed since she was not using it now she sleeps in it every night and only wakes up when I do.
