My cat holds out his paw and I shake to congratulate him to say, "Good boy...!" and this goes on for a series of 3x5 times in a petting session on the small of his back!
We have three cats, and one will not stop mewing when either of us is on the phone. Petting her and giving her attention does not shut her up 😆 She'll keep mewing all throughout the call and when the phone gets hung up she'll just lay down and be quiet as if nothing happened, lol.
My cat Max loves my beanbag and always sits on it. Once I was sitting on it and Max came in, put a paw on the beanbag, and stared up at me. I was surprised at how communicative and polite he was being and I let him sit on the beanbag.

Strangest thing my female cat does is interrupt me while shaving, rolling around on the floor with a screeching meow every time I turn off my razor to clean it. She just can't move on with her life unless I take a break from shaving to pet her. She's weird but cute!
She thinks you're being attacked! Could be the sound triggers her as vet's use a razor to remove fur for spaying, or other operation, even from a leg if inserting an iv.
My cat also does this exact thing. So now I share my routine with him. Brush, brush teefs, cotton pad face wipes with water to clean his whiskers. It's cute, but has increased my getting ready time significantly.
Mine will burst the door open if you haven't closed it all the way, leaving you exposed and embarrassed. Then he wants to rub on my legs making it super awkward. And on the rare occasion I'm not kicking him away... he will curl into my undies and look up at me. Bathroom session over.

You are SO lucky. I am blessed that i get my sleep interrupted at night by one who occasionally has the dry heaves and the other who likes to go hiking on my body and also mess with the blinds.
I'm pretty sure the bathroom visit is because the cat is protecting you while you're vulnerable, most animals are vulnerable mid-dump and can't react in a situation while dropping a deuce. That's why dogs also look at you when they're pooping, they're like: You got my back right?
I had a cat that would jump on my lap and reach out to touch my cheek. It was a nice way of letting me know he appreciated me taking him home after being abandoned by a previous owner. I had a second cat that loved to reach out and…dip her paw in my ketchup when I was eating fries. For some reason, she really loved ketchup.
I remember when I was still in high school in the late 80s we had a kitty cat named Boo boo. And she was a female outdoor cat and I remember we were having a family game of Monopoly and I guess she felt ignored so she jumped up on the table right in the middle of the board to get our attention. Maybe she wanted to join the game. Haha. Now we have two boy indoor cats and they were just neutered. They seem a lot calmer now but still play a lot and I'm wondering about maybe leash and harness training them for outdoor walks. They would be outdoor cats but we are close to a highway and there's a lot of wildlife in this neighborhood. Some cats have been killed by coyote attacks.
I had this one cat that I gave his back paws a massage. He started to pull away and then he relaxed the paw. This cat was my best friend for the longest time and I had very special bond with him.
About 14 years ago Rosie came to our door and said....Hi, I'm Rosie....where do I sleep and what's for tea...she has been here ever since. She has never bitten us..loves her belly and paws being played with/massaged and when my hands start to tremor (Parkinson's disease) she comes and strokes then with her paw failing that then she will sit on them..... The question is she, for the past year has started Yowling VERY LOUD and won't stop for some time . I have listened to what you have said about this and in this case she must do it for some other reason...we think it may have something to do with her becoming stone deaf this past six months. Could you or others shed any light on this behavior please.....Mick
I'm so glad Rosie found you! You sound like an amazing Cat Dad!! Oh it's normal for a deaf cat to meow loudly after losing their hearing, she no longer has "volume control" she simply doesn't know how loud she is! I hope you and sweet Rosie are doing well and I hope I helped you a little.
@@mistiewaters2185 She like most cats is a real character she is only small and therefore people seem to think she is still a young cat we don't realy know how old she is but I would guess around 14/15 ....she is doing well otherwise and loves to help/hinder me when I put on footwear...the best is when she needs her nails clipping she just holds out her paws and lets you do it, most cats you would end up in a fight to get them cut.
When Squeaky hears the toilet seat go down he sprints into the toilet as he knows I am sitting down and cannot escape him and must pat him. That's how smart they are!
I have two Bengal cats, 2 years old. One gets hungry at about 3 am and starts batting me on the head, at getting under the covers to attack my feet. I usually have to get up anyway at that time to go to the bathroom, but getting your toes nipped on is startling. I am moving their feeding schedule so they get fed at 10 or 11 pm, so they don't get hungry again until 6 am or so. Aside from that, they are wonderful and do all the things in this video to show they are bonded to me.
Cat's can regulate their food intake very well so if you always leave some dry food available they won't get hungry. Probably will take some time if they are used to getting only fresh or wet cat food though
What are you doing? Starving your cat? 😂. My cats bowl stays full. He gets wet food in the morning for breakfast. But the rest of the day he just eats his dry food. Which we just keep topped off. So it’s never an issue.
I can't recall ever having the "post-poop zoomies", but I DO occasionally get the "PRE-poop zoomies"!🤣 Then I get an amazing "post-poop" sense of relief and renewal.😌
Fun fact: ancient cats didn't meow. It's something they developed over thousands of years. Ever see a cat meow at another cat? Of course not. Cats only meow at humans. They developed it because they want to talk to us. Isn't that sweet??? =^.^=
My cats meow at each other as well as myself. All my cats have been that way since I was little and mama cats meo, purr, and chirp at their kittens. My current girl chirps at me too LoL
Guaranteed, every time I park myself in the can, one of mine bangs on the door 'til I open it. "MmmRAH!", and he just barges right in like he owns the place.
My cats both like to have their feet gently stroked from time to time, although they usually put the pads in my palm and I stroke the tops of their paws. When my girl is sleeping on my bed she always stretches out towards me when I go in there and if I don't stop to pet her she will snag her claws in my clothes so I have to stop and give her cuddles. Wonderful, sweet, beautiful, amazing complex, creatures.
After years loving many kitties the one I have is totally quite unusual. Never had one that digs his water bowl completely dry then screams for more. He bats his treats and stuff on the bathroom counter into the sink. My other kitty is normal.
When my young male (abandoned as a kitten and I took him to live with me) lies next to my computer while I am on it, he will often reach out and just place his paw on my arm. In turn he doesn't mind it one bit if I gently stroke and touch his paws. When my young female (abandoned as a kitten and I took her to live with me a month later) she will curl up in my lap and lets me treat her paws the same way. But I make sure not to overdo it. Just a few strokes and touches to let them know I love them. The heart warming thing they both do is often times just get in front of me and stare deeply into my eyes as if trying so hard to read my thoughts. No amount of money could take them from me. Pure, blissful love each way between us.
My kitty would always sit in my lap or in my underpants when I was on the toilet. When I showered he would sit on the tub and watch, then when I got out, he'd lick the water off my leg 🤣 He was so involved when I would be in there.
I call my shower watching cat my lifeguard kitty. He loves to talk to me while I'm in the shower, he paws at the shower water streaming down the inside of the shower door and will drink from the shower door track once I'm done and drying off.
when my cat meows, its her telling me to clean her litter box or else she's gonna crap on the carpet. i try to tell her i just cleaned it a couple hours ago, but she's kind of a total diva.
I just thought Izzy knew I was the perfect height to bend down and pet him while on the toilet. He doesn't follow me in for a pee or a shower but if he hears me sit down he comes running. He doesn't seem to mind if I squeeze his paws and play with his tail. Though on his last clipping he hid under the bed for hours. I made the mistake of not following the vet in for the procedure. i think he felt betrayed and abandoned. He's never been that opposed to having his claws clipped. This was wildly helpful in better understanding him. Thanks.
My cat is such a mama's boy. He sleeps next to me every night, likes to use me as a pillow when we sleep, likes to hold onto my shoulder, and is a shoulder kitty. He also doesn't complain why I trim his nails, and he knows he'll get a "good boy" and lots of attention afterward if he sits still. He's put up with me taking him to the, which terrifies him, but he's never once hissed ir scratched at the doctors there. And he got a shot for whatever was needed with no problems. I love him dearly
My 2nd cat was my best friend. He was a stray cat when I first met him. He bonded with me instantly. He did sat next to me and even put a paw on my thigh to let me know he was next to me. He was very sweet and friendly cat. He did climbed on my chest and started to purred loudly while I was watching TV with my parents.
When my son goes on an errand, my dam literally meowscreams "Don't leave! Come back!" Just for a minute, as I naturally comfort her. Cats and dogs can tell time if the errand is a daily ritual. I watch them go to the window when he's due back.

My cat Sam has figured out how to open the door. Our handles are long and he just jumps up and hangs on them till he opens it up. I put this video on the Internet and people loved it. The problem is he won’t shut the door he comes in and out all day long. He thinks it’s a game.😮
5:50 before my cat Sonya passed away, EVERY SINGLE time my fiancé would video call me, she'd come running, look into the cell phone see him, then turn around and shove her booty into the camera, she did NOT do that with anybody else besides me and him..., also after I'd take a shower I'd "get pushed" out of the shower and she'd jump in and lick the shower dry...I'd have to make sure to rinse all the soap out of the tub before she was allowed to jump in it, she lived to be 18 years old
One time I had a cat that liked to pick her toy mice up in her mouth by their tails and throw them. Depending on the size of the mouse she could get some pretty good distance/hangtime. Needless to say she got very good at flinging mice directly into my lap.
I’ve had many cats throughout the years. I can’t remember the Last time I was able to go to the bathroom alone with the door shut. It gets hard when someone comes over to use the bathroom they shut the door and my cats will push it open but I warn everyone that door gets shut they’re going to scratch it to death I have a nice wooden bathroom door that’s all scratched up 😂
We adopted a rescue cat, male, fixed. Sweetest cat but he was a sprayer. Because we had other cats prior to him he thought he had to mark everything. Because we had never experienced this before it was awhile until we discovered why the furniture started to smell. I guess he finally got the whole house as he finally stopped. That chemical 'felaway" helped a lot. Our vet said 11% of fixed males still spray. But he was a keeper anyway and enjoyed a loved life.
Awww !! This is a great video (& your voice is cool) I’ve always had at Least one Kitty in my life but I never knew why he follows me to the bathroom! Thanks! 😂🐾
I always call zoomies after pooping 'air drying.' LOL What I don't like about the reaching out with the paws is the claws getting very near my eyeballs and everything getting snagged.
I was adopted by a feral cat. He would greet me when I got home from work, let me pet him for a short time, didn't let me pick him up but would jump into my car and ont my lap when I opened the door, and once he left a dead rat beside the door to my car. So I guess I belonged to him. FYI... I didn't feed him so I know he didn't belong to me.

Well, my long haired cat frequently had zoomies after poops because he had lumps stuck to his backside, and he knew that galloping around usually dislodged then. It got my attention too, and he knew i,d take care of it. :)

The "after poo zooms"! I have a Cat who loudly announces, " I gotta go" as he heads to the box! A couple of "mad dash laps" around the apartment with Cat #2 hot on his heels and then she (#2 Cat) goes into the box to further cover up #1's already covered poo!🤷♂🤯 He is also an attention hog, she comes over and gives me "the paw" when she feels it's time to get petted or brushed! 🤷♂💝 It's kinda 🥰🥰 when your Cats let you know ....."Hey! Your OK"! Thanks for the video! It helps to know what your Cat(s) are trying to say , a little anyway!👍 🦂💘😺
My cat used to do that often as a kitten. I never taught him that, he just did it on his own. I finally discovered he did that when he was hungry and wanted me to give him food.
My Maine Coon/tabby mix loves to eat plastic left from frozen dinners, or opened toys. I could never understand why he does this 🤷🏻♀️ He is fed just fine!
That's a common thing for cats. The issue is that many clear plastics are made with plant cellulose. So your cat is eating it because to them it is kinda tastes like eating a plant. Still don't allow them to eat it though. Their stomachs can't break down the plastic proper so it can easily cause an intestinal/bowel blockage and require surgery to remove.
DON'T LET YOUR MAINE COON EAT ANY PLASTIC, ITS NOT GOOD FOR HIS STOMACH. MAINE COONS ARE VERY SMART, BUT GET BORED FAST. I HAVE FOOD OUT IN A BOWL, SO SHE CAN EAT ANYTIME, PLUS WATER. MY MAINE COON LOVES TO PLAY WITH TOY MOUSES. I ALSO HAVE CAT TUNNELS AND SUCH, SO SHE DOESN'T GET BORED. I GIVE HER HALF A CAN OF GOOD CANNED FOOD IN THE MORNING AND DRY FOOD OUT IN HER BOWL. STILL, SHE DOESN'T EAT PLASTIC. I HEARD THAT BEING NERVOUS CAN MAKE CATS EAT PLASTIC, AND OTHER THINGS THAT ARE VERY BAD FOR THEM. TAKE YOUR CAT TO THE VETS, A CHK UP AND BLOOD WORK, TO MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T HAVE A HEALTH ISSUE. GOOD LUCK WITH KITTY. MAIN COONS ARE GREAT CATS!
They do own our house but I still close my bedroom door 😂 as I am asthmatic and if I have a cold I need a low pollution free zone to recover swiftly . My cat still 11 years later occasionally enters my bedroom usually when I am not looking. He just needs to make it a space he goes in but because it’s been like that since he was a kitten he kinda understands it’s my giant cat bed. He loves patting me with his paws to get my attention and more tickles
Too many people who wind up with a cat expect them to behave like dogs. That leads to problems real fast. Cats CAN be trained, you just have to be creative and patient. Like any pet, if you treat your cat badly, it will react or defend itself. A really ticked off cat is NOT FUN AT ALL. I'd rather face an angry Rottweiler than my 20 pound Maine Coon.

Yep ... cats own your house. They're just kind enough to let you stay in it. Just don't get too many ideas from that... 😁
😂😂😂😂
is that why i’m related to my cat? /j
Yes he is the landlord

I have been watching these videos for days now, just rescues my sweetheart Runa. I am on property security for a business and saw her walking with a pellet gun hole in her back leg. Got her back to the house and cleaned her up. She is THE MOST LOVABLE little thing.
So glad you found her! She's prob very grateful someone cared enough to do that! 😁❤

I reach my arm back to my cat when she reaches out to me
It doesn’t matter if it’s the dead of night,if I get up to go to the bathroom, all three of mine will come hangout half asleep and stay until I’m done, even if they were just sleeping
100% 😂😂😂
They consider themselves a kind of bodyguard...
Same here. I have 5 cats that follow me into the bathroom
Same. Even if she's sleeping and I think I've successfully snuck in...bam! She's there!!
My cat holds out his paw and I shake to congratulate him to say, "Good boy...!" and this goes on for a series of 3x5 times in a petting session on the small of his back!
does he urine mark you?🤣
We have three cats, and one will not stop mewing when either of us is on the phone.
Petting her and giving her attention does not shut her up 😆 She'll keep mewing all throughout the call and when the phone gets hung up she'll just lay down and be quiet as if nothing happened, lol.
Equivalent of a dog barking at the mailman
She wants to join in on the conversation 😂
Mine does this a lot, too!
My cat Max loves my beanbag and always sits on it. Once I was sitting on it and Max came in, put a paw on the beanbag, and stared up at me. I was surprised at how communicative and polite he was being and I let him sit on the beanbag.
I need to be more observant like this.
Omg my car does the same thing with a particular chair in our home! If we sit on it he will come sit and stare at you, then meow-as if saying “get out” lol 😅
My cat peed on my new bean bag. Threw the bean bag away, never bought another one again.
@@wrongwronskian7707 just happened to me. We got a new kitten and it peed on our only beanbag, so we threw it away. Max misses his beanbag. But your beanbag was new? That’s sad.

Same here. She doesn't look patient; she looks ANNOYED.
They follow you to the bathroom because you are trapped. Haha! You have to pet them. You cannot get up and they know it.
Strangest thing my female cat does is interrupt me while shaving, rolling around on the floor with a screeching meow every time I turn off my razor to clean it. She just can't move on with her life unless I take a break from shaving to pet her. She's weird but cute!
LMBO🤣🤣🤣
She thinks you're being attacked!
Could be the sound triggers her as vet's use a razor to remove fur for spaying, or other operation, even from a leg if inserting an iv.
She's scared of the razor but because of her love and concern for you she's making sure the razor monster doesn't try anything.
My cat also does this exact thing. So now I share my routine with him. Brush, brush teefs, cotton pad face wipes with water to clean his whiskers. It's cute, but has increased my getting ready time significantly.
My cat uses her litter box at the same time I use the toilet. Her litter box is next to the toilet
Mine too
Same😳
Or eat at the same time as you
Mine will burst the door open if you haven't closed it all the way, leaving you exposed and embarrassed. Then he wants to rub on my legs making it super awkward. And on the rare occasion I'm not kicking him away... he will curl into my undies and look up at me. Bathroom session over.
My cat does thee same! And litter box next to toilette...
My cat doesn't make a sound when she wants the door opened. She just sits and watches you until you so. Lol
My cat does the same he gets angry if you don't open the door.
Im convinced cats are telepathic and are trying to beam information through this stare.
@@Doremo1 I am convinced you can have a telepathic bond with your cat. I am always thinking of her when she isn’t present in my room and 95% of the time I can feel she is right by my door and she IS. 🥰
My friend's dog does that. For everything.
Oh I wish lol. My cats don’t allow closed doors. If a door is closed they have ripped up the carpet and will literally scream at me to open it
That's funny, my cat meows a few times, and if I don't respond, then he will meow so loud that everyone looks at him. Picked him up and cuddled him, while laughing so hard 😂 🤣. I miss him sooo much. R.I.P. My little man.
My cat likes her paw bean rubbed softly, she even stretches her paw for me to do this. lol
My cat started using the toilet after a year of following me to the bathroom. Smart Kitty!
Lol yea right
One of my cats cat do it to.
First I thought it was my daughter who hadn’t wiped her ass after using the toilet, but one day I caught my cat Misha out there taking a shit.
Lmao big if true
@@Master_of_Critique it’s totally true, I have it on picture.
@@Master_of_Critique yup. He would always follow me to the bathroom and sit on the counter and watch. One day I was surprised to go in there and he was squatting down using it himself. Cats learn alot from their human roommates.
We have the litter box close to the bathroom and all cats I ever had in my life has alway went to the litter box at the same time as someone in the family went to the toilet. :)
One of the cats even pretended to go just because. He scratched a bit in the sand without really going, like some sort of sympathy "peeing".
LOL !!! So funny.
We have three cats and immediately after scooping their two litter boxes, one always has to refill it as soon as I step away with the waste litter.

Two litter boxes in my place also. Wherever my Mookie is she comes to watch me intently scooping and she seems grateful somehow. Do cats smile??

My cats let me feed them and change their litter every morning and night and if I'm good they let me pet them.

I'm pretty sure the bathroom visit is because the cat is protecting you while you're vulnerable, most animals are vulnerable mid-dump and can't react in a situation while dropping a deuce. That's why dogs also look at you when they're pooping, they're like: You got my back right?
Are you sure dogs aren't saying, I'll eat this later?

omg....LOL😅😅!
thanks for the belly laugh!
I had a cat that would jump on my lap and reach out to touch my cheek. It was a nice way of letting me know he appreciated me taking him home after being abandoned by a previous owner.
I had a second cat that loved to reach out and…dip her paw in my ketchup when I was eating fries. For some reason, she really loved ketchup.
my cat do the same thing put it feels like a punch of affection
My old cat loved pizza 😆
I love how they all have their own personalities and habits.
Weirdest thing a cat I've owned loved: Pancakes.
Current cat loves Italian tomato sauce.
One of my cats always looks in the toilet when I flush it. She seems fascinated by the swirling water.
My cat does that. It's their natural curiosity kicking in, I think.
Probably thinking "Please tell me you didn't just do what think you did in my backup water supply".
I loved the animation, so cute
Very cute.
I love the blue kitty. Super cute 🥰
Yes, probably losing, or lost, hearing. As one of my cats aged, the yowls became louder.
Vet said it's not unusual with a very senior cat.

Great info & very accurate. My cat allows me to hold his paw and gently squeeze it. He then squeezes back intermittently. It's adorable 🥰
Just like me, phew…..

The paw tap is awesome 😆
I like the eye blinks.
Fun fact: ancient cats didn't meow. It's something they developed over thousands of years. Ever see a cat meow at another cat? Of course not. Cats only meow at humans. They developed it because they want to talk to us. Isn't that sweet??? =^.^=
No, the meow evolved because people responded to it.
Lol. They meow when their mating
My cats meow at each other as well as myself. All my cats have been that way since I was little and mama cats meo, purr, and chirp at their kittens. My current girl chirps at me too
LoL
My cat jumps on the counter to drink from the sink and it's adorable.
Anyone elses cat have a fascination watching the toilet flush, he even got too excited twice and dived in head first.
Bathroom stalker😂😂😂 my cat did the same, sad she passed away Christmas morning 😢
Poop euphoria.🤣. that made my day!.. I always wondered what the little bastard was doing.🐱💩
My kitty would always sit in my lap or in my underpants when I was on the toilet. When I showered he would sit on the tub and watch, then when I got out, he'd lick the water off my leg 🤣 He was so involved when I would be in there.
He loves you so much ❤

Mine fell in the tub and tore me to shreds. I had 4 inch long cuts all over my legs. He flipped out when he slipped. Now I keep the door closed.

So weird huh??
I call my shower watching cat my lifeguard kitty. He loves to talk to me while I'm in the shower, he paws at the shower water streaming down the inside of the shower door and will drink from the shower door track once I'm done and drying off.
when my cat meows, its her telling me to clean her litter box or else she's gonna crap on the carpet. i try to tell her i just cleaned it a couple hours ago, but she's kind of a total diva.
They can be bossy especially the females.
I had a cat that used to love Paws massages between the toes and all around the main pad.
My wake up call @ 5am EVERY morning is my cat reaching out a paw and gently touching my face - it is just so cute !
Cute? That would annoy the hell out of me.
The other day the meow and look obviously meant "you're not wearing THAT, are you?"

My girl will grab her favorite mouse 🐁 toy and drop it in front of me and meow. She is so cute. I love her so much! 💖😺🌈

I couldn't live without the support of a good bathroom cat. We go in as a team and complete the mission.
My cat rides in the truck with me she goes out by herself in rest areas etc. everyone is always so happy to see her hanging by my car window

My Maine Coon/tabby mix loves to eat plastic left from frozen dinners, or opened toys. I could never understand why he does this 🤷🏻♀️ He is fed just fine!
Intestinal blockage = emergency surgery. Rise off plastic w hot water immediately and don’t let her eat them!
It's a condition of some sort, check into it. Make sure they don't get an intestinal blockage.
@@jc.1191 It's called 'pica.' My cats have it and they love to eat plastic and paper. People can have it too.
