- Earlier today we lost one of the funniest people of all time. Although this is different from my regular videos I found myself feeling I must pay tribute by sharing a small fraction of his work.

Norm won, the cancer died but he lives on through all of this - all these videos, all these memories.
It was a draw, no?
@@mrkumar9813 damn!!! Beat me to it 😂😂
Or so the oncologists would have us believe
So true my friend. He lives on to make us smile and laugh far beyond his time on earth.
No , he’s gone.
He was a deeply closeted cancer patient.
You mean he had cancer??😯
@@jcee6886 hey hey hey easy buddy! He’s deeply closeted!
I believe Norm would be proud of you. 😂😂😂😂😂
I'm not coming out though!
I'm laughing and crying. Loved him man!
“Death is a funny thing. Not funny haha, like a Woody Allen movie, but funny strange, like a Woody Allen marriage”
- Norm MacDonald
I’d never heard that - excellent ❤️
Oh my god. This was so funny. Thank you
@@erickuribe9860 He was such a comedy genius
That's NORM!!!!!
Fukin awesome
Maybe we’ll find out later that Norm’s just up in northern Canada
He was, not too long ago.
@@dishkyaondishkyaondishkyao7859 There was a long Twitter discourse that he wrote about relocating to a cabin in remote British Columbia and it sounded very cryptic. I hope he didn't delete those tweets.
@@Kryptospotted Please post if you find them, I want to believe
@@vengeancegauloise6049 I will keep looking. It seemed 100% believable that he was actually in the woods, in a cabin, alone. He talked about the intense solitude that he felt while waiting a month or so to get electricity and internet access set up.
He’s still looking for his brother
RIP buddy, we will call it a draw! miss you forever
A loss to us tho 😞🙊🙉🙈🙌👋👏
Luckily he lived long enough to celebrate the 20th jubileum of 9/11
@Vincent russo did you get the ref?
Deep respect for Norm. He left us on his own terms, just like his comedy. Unflinching.
Isn’t that the truth.
Yes Very well Said.Norm Carved his own path..imhopn.
The Rorschach of comedy...RIP legend
What do you mean he left on his own terms ? He died of cancer , I’m pretty sure, now I could be wrong, but I’m almost positive he didn’t choose to have cancer let alone die from it.
@@la3615 he left us privately, without pity. 😔
Maher said in on Kimmel.
I love comedy, but Norm was something extraordinary. One of the funniest people I've ever had the chance to see. He will be missed.
I was lucky enough to see him live in 2018. He can make anything funny. I’m gonna miss him greatly.
I just wish I had the chance to see him live. Literally the funniest guy ever.
Oh. He passed away ? 😕
This guy was THE greatest of all time. Gilbert Gottfried's great. Anthony Jezelnik. George Carlin. Nick Swardson. Jim carrey. Trevor moore. But i really think Norm's no. 1. Cant believe i feel like crying. Its been a couple o years. Maybe thats bad. Had no idea he was even sick
Norm did the best Burt Reynolds impersonation ever, Turd Ferguson.
He had the wickedest, most mischievous, twinkle in his eye I've ever seen - a great man and a great loss.
He really DID have the most mischievous twinkle in the eye EVER!
Alot of celebrity deaths over the years. Norm's is the first one to hit me in the gut. Thank you Norm. Your memory makes me smile, then laugh, then cry.
me too.
Same. Hit me in the gut. I've been watching Norm vids to go to sleep to off and on for the last year. He's special to me.
That Old Chunk of Coal is a Diamond now.
Jesus man, that’s beautiful. Love it.
Epic
“I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.”
-Norm MacDonald
He fought in silence all this time, spreading joy and laughter until the end. His death may be saddening, but he died as one of the funniest and most interesting human being on this planet.
That 9/11 joke, where he says, with a look of distaste on his face, 'what a horrible joke, it reminds me of that tragedy' - sublime.
9/11 is no longer the only national tragedy to happen in September.
“… he was in northern canada…” such an under rated part of the joke. So funny.
It wasn't just the great jokes he crafted. It was also the terrible puns he did on purpose just to annoy people. Plus the ANTI-jokes that were designed to really annoy and confuse. It tickled him, and we had to stay on our toes to make sure we were keeping up. One of my all-time faves. RIP
He was so hilarious and didn't give a rats ass who he offended.
Clearly influenced by Andy Kaufman. Took the baton cleanly.
So true he was quite a unique character
You gotta watch "Dirty Work" if you haven't seen it.
This is so out of the blue.
I'm gutted.
R.I.P. Norm macdonald, the greatest of all time 🙏
Remember he did a couple of videos form home during lockdown, I thought we were going to get a new Norm stream, but I remember everyone commented back then how thin he looked. As such a private guy I think that he probably didn't want to do more of those as he would probably look and feel worse over time. Damn shame though.
That triple stacked woman's joke is still one of the best jokes ever told!!
Watched it with friends the night it aired...rip norm!
Absolutely. Credit for an assist is due to the director who advanced the slide to the next story (the Hard Rock Café logo) before the punchline. That really helped it work by framing the punchline as an ad lib afterthought.
Totally, the delivery flawless!
It absolutely killed the crowd lol
I've been so disconnected from everything online for the last couple of months and therefore these tragic news missed me up until now. I cannot believe it. By far my favorite comedian of all time, the funniest person I've ever had the privilege of hearing. Will be missed. I love you Norm, rest in peace mate.
Brilliant comedian. Played it slow, but was 10 steps ahead. R.I. P. Norm.
I've never cared about any celebrity dying until now. RIP Norm.
Same here
Leslie Nielsen, then Norm, only ones to seriously pull the rug out from under me
-Norm you're dead man, you should go to heaven. why are you here?
-BECAUSE THE LIGHT WAS ON
❤️
Beautifully done!
Nice👍
Well said
Nice
"What makes you attractive to women"?
*I have money* - Norm MacDonald
Larry King was completely lost during the "completely closeted" joke.
And the success of that joke fed off of his cluelessness; like Margaret Dumont with Groucho Marx.
if you watch it again, he caught on to it fine
Naw larry king is just a great straightman
@Bswag Swag Oh, boo hoo hooo! Don't say that! Don't call me "clueless"! No! That'll break... my... f*cking... heart! How could you! I always thought you were a good, kind, decent person, but you're not! You're evil! EVIL!!!!!!
Who are you! WHAT are you! Oh, God in Heaven, save us all! SAVE....US.....ALL!!!!
He’s not lost he’s playing dumb so the joke is better
Congrats on your draw, Norm. Here's hoping there's a rematch clause we didn't know about.
Comedians are heaven sent. Especially the good ones. They make life bearable. Norm was one of the good ones. Great video.
The funniest thing is his last joke is only OJ Simpson won't miss him
That's so true. "Comedians" like Jimmy Kimmel, Samantha Bee and Trevor Noah are unbearable. They only have negative things to say and they are trying to be smart first and funny second. It doesn't work like that. They are not enjoyable to watch and listen to. Norm MacDonald was wholesome and made me smile many a time.
This is one of the best ways I’ve heard anyone put it. He helped me get through last year, I absorbed so much of his material that it feels like he really helped me cope. Idk if that’s weird, but not weirder than the Germans would have you believe.
@@rayf5228 I don't know what that last reference means, but I'm sure it's some kind of joke. But, yes, if you can't laugh, then what's the point of all this, right? Glad you got thru it. As a friend of mine used to say when I was down, 'Fuck the dumb shit.' And that always made me laugh.
Respect
Rip Norm, only discovered his genius last year.I have watched everything and listened to everything.Instantly hooked. His passing is a great shame but there is to much laughter to stay sad for to long.Quite brilliant.
You know that cancer the more I learn about it the more I don’t care for it, there is nothing redeeming about… THIS CANCER IS A REAL JERK. RIP Norm.
Aww he's a good guy.
Just like that guy......uh....adolph hitler.
Norm is dead? I didn't even know he was sick.
Rest in peace, you fucking legend.
He kept it secret from what I heard.
@@LeutnantJoker a really meeting of the mind over here
Nobody knew
Fuckin legend mate
Every few months there would be a rumour that he was dead....?
Must have been some chancing Twitter Merchant asshole trying to get clicks etc.
Not just Canada's, the World's greatest comedian.
Agreed
Nahhh, I don't think so, bud.
John Candy?
Agreed.
Greatest Canadian comedian. You’re speaking nonsense.
"The ah rumors....of my ah....demise have been, well Not GREATLY exagerated....."- Norm MacDonald's GHOST
I suppose this one's a goddamn ghost
He wasn’t just Canada’s greatest comedian!
As a Canadian I agree with you. The man entertained everyone. ♥️
Came here to say that
RIP Norm, Been watching a lot of his comedy of late. Sad news.
He is literally the most genuine hilarious man EVER. Can't believe he's gone...
It's genuinely my belief that Norm Macdonald is the greatest comedian that ever lived
You know, there's a good chance that's true. He didn't rely on schtick; he didn't rely on props; no imitations; like George Burns, never had to move a muscle to get laughs; didn't trade off a physical or social shortcoming (other than an inability to frown or even not smile); a comedy mind as wildly creative as John Lennon's songwriting mind; got almost as much mileage (or smileage) out of a bad joke as a good one; owned any room or panel filled with comedians and/or celebrities; clearly and cleanly took the baton off the hop when Andy Kaufman dropped it; comedy lightning in a bottle.
@@kennethlatham3133 WELL FUCKING SAID my friend, THAT should be his eulogy
Norm had always presented himself as a living person, when in actuality he was a deeply closeted dead guy
Can’t express how sad - and a little more alone I feel - now that I know Norm is gone. RIP you wonderful genius.
I love Conan always try’s to get him to move it along with an innocuous comment like “wow, you talked to this guy for a while, huh?” Or like in the Moth Joke “How long was this drive?! Where do you even live?!” RIP Norm, nobody could string us along like you could 🙏☺️
I loved Conan's little commentary on his jokes. The best was that Conan is very smart , and always got his references , which sometimes flew right over the other guest's heads. Like Thomas Haden Church completely lost at a Don Quixote reference.
Conan and Andy do a great tribute to Norm on Conan’s podcast. Just a great conversation about a legend they loved.
I'm still shocked. When I feel bad, I usually watch Norm videos, hearing of his death, that was a sucker punch in the nuts....
"I bet board is spelled 'B-O-R-E-D' " - I laugh every single time. You will be soooo missed Norm
That legit never gets old.
I've got a great title for that movie, Box Office Poison. Best interview ever!
"A hero need not speak. For when he is gone the world will speak for him."
Norm is my all time favorite comedian. His mannerism is hilarious. There’s a guy named Dusty Slay that is the southern version of Norm. I heard today that norm died. It was a shock.
We will all miss you Norm ❤️......you made the world laugh...... but today you made the world mourn .
It didn't beat him. He shone brightly until the end.
Thanks Norm, you helped me get through some the darkness. ✌️😂
OMG! We lost a genius that thrilled us all. No one crafted a joke as good as Norm. You will be sorely missed. Thanks for the great entertainment.
Seinfeld’s response to Norm’s homeless change joke was “well, I think the answer to that question is obvious.”
Oj jokes will never be forgotten they will outlive oj and all his records
@@thomasfritsch3536 Yes! Especially that lucky stabbin’ hat joke. I remember exactly where I was the night of THAT JOKE. 😀
Norm the only one who could make me laugh at 911 joke
I’m laughing and then crying at the end. I loved him. He will be missed.
Not okay with losing Norm. Feels like losing a real friend. A brother, a father. I hope he really knew how much he was loved.
As an American I can say with confidence that Norm is a national treasure
National as in Canada right
Awww...this is awkward
;)
RIP Norm...the King of Zero F*cks ever given.
“I walked through the streets filled with blood and bones trying to find my brother…he was in northern Canada.” How do you deliver that and not crack up? He kept a straight face through all his joke build-ups, he was a genius
Most touching Norm moment was when he did letterman on his last season
Straight from the goat, don't ever say he lost a battle to cancer. He stays winning.
When you're dead, you're dead, but you're not quite so dead, If you contribute something.
- John Dunsworth
RIP Norm MacDonald
From Canada Norm we love you and waiting for you to come home.
Norm's comedy is something that's entertained me every day for years now. I will truly miss his unique voice and deceptive style of story telling he did so well. RIP Norm you will be sorely missed.
Nrom didnt just make you laugh, he made you feel good and happy. Thats something not many comedians are able to do.
Last year I watched everything I could get my hands on that had Norm. I even watched all the episodes of the Norm Show. My favorite bit of all the Norm stuff was the story of the make a wish kid who wanted to club a baby seal. If you haven't heard Norm tell that story/joke, look it up.
I never met the man, but I’ve watched almost all of his routines for years. His passing actually hurts my heart. I would give anything to shack his hand and thank him for the years of humour.
It's hard not to see his passing as a huge loss. Not a draw.
He didn’t lose. We did.
@@Jarallah yeah man we certainly lose .
Honestly nope, cause every video I watched of him I never felt sad for him battling cancer or stuff cause I didn't knew, all comedy no agenda and stuff, and now it feels bad but he proved his point, great man 😎
Canada's Greatest Comedian? More like worlds. Always loved his Closeted Gay bit.
@beep boop What? No, he's Puerto Rican.
@@jeff503pdx No, he's Polish.
@@koufax8 haha, ok.
Gutted.. love ya Norm! I like to think you and Farley are just chilling in a van down by the river💕
Well-done my friend!
Right on! My fav.skit!!😋
"Hey Norm, I hope you enjoyed every sandwich."
- Warren Zevon. RIP
My shit's fucked up
Two originals who didn’t compromise.
I miss you Norm, now and always! May your soul have its due rest.
This guy made me cry with laughter. We will miss Norm.
LOVED HIM!! Simply the best
Just loved the way he delivered his lines. Legend.
He was so great. What a loss. You will be sorely missed Mr. MacDonald! Rest In Peace.
Thanks for the video man, that last bit really got me. I remember watching that one... He was trying to tell us the best way he knew how.
I cried last night when I found out late. But I immediatelty thought of Norm and him coming to me as an Angel or Force Ghost(Fuckin Nerd lol) and simply saying *"HEY... What the hell are you crying for? Me?! I don't even know you man."* I would've ended with a Joke but I'm sure we can all think of one he'd chuckle at.
The only thing I can hope, is that people watching this are finally discovering the funniest man to ever live. I’ve tried to get almost anyone I know to watch norm over the years. Any I’m Not Norm video can literally make anyone in a better mood.
I wonder what Norm would say about Keith Richards outliving him...
Or Artie Lange!
He outlived Charlie Watts though, so that's a point there
He may ask "Keith, what was it you snorted or slammed or smoked, whatever, however, I mean, I saw a movie the other day, what turned you into a mummy?"
Rip Norm, truly the greatest. Never forgotten
He will be greatly missed! RIP Canadian Brother of Comedy!! Cheers!!
I loved that halted, halting delivery of stories and his jokes. The timing was embedded on the diction, clever! G-d bless him.
Exactly! The other comedian with the similar devastating, halted delivery was Bob Newhart, who often scored the laugh simply by repeating himself. He. He was. He was funny.
He can start a joke and you don't even realize he's setting up a joke and then hit you from f*cking left field in the smoothest and calmest manner. Thank you Norm MacDonald 🙏🏾 Deepest condolences to the ones who were close to him and loved him the most.
Sad,,,but a great tribute to a fine man,and a unique one of the kind Comedian, and an inspiration to young up and coming Comedians...All Human Beings need to laugh.. thank you Norm..R.I .P.
When I had no reason to live, Norm brought me back from the ledge. One of our last living geniuses, gone. Love you Normie
Was truly upset when I heard he passed. One of my favorite comedians.. was hoping for more from him soon. 🙁
man im going to miss norm..for the last month or so i have been down but he always makes me laugh...by far one of my favorite comics on the planet. may you find some peace norm.
He was the best .... no holds barred ... thank goodness for so much of his talent and kind self captured on video. RIP to a fine gentleman.
A very nice tribute. Thanks for posting. RIP Norm.
This was a very nice classy tribute 👍
Thank you for all of the laughs Norm Macdonald.
You made this world a little bit more tolerable with your unique humorous take on things.
OK. Maybe he lost the battle against cancer (chalk up one for cancer).
But Norm WON the war of funny, and exquisitely hip. If you were smart enough to be in on the joke, there was no one funnier.
He was a class act.
This man will not be forgotten.
Norm considered it a draw. He dies/the cancer dies.
I had my flashback, only took 4 years. Flipping burgers at Friendly's. The music rose up, the lights brightened and those burgers were PULSING. Rest easy, Norm.
Norm’s comedic delivery was unsurpassed! R.I.P. Make the Angels laugh. ❤️👍🏼
Thank you for creating a fantastic collection of some of Norm's greatest moments. As a fan I really appreciate the time it must have taken you to put this together. This is a fine commemoration of his wit and his courage to put the 'funny' ahead of everything he did. No compromises, he seems a man who was always pure in his craft.
The all time funniest man to walk this planet.
Beautiful....Will watch this many times in the future...Thanks for putting it together.
Thank you for this video. I had all 5 of my children watch this. Norm was the funniest, smartest man I have ever seen.
"Now you take that Hitler fellow. The more I learn about him the less I care for him".
Thanks for this lovely tribute for an inimitable comic whose whit outshone the biggest stars of his generation.
Loved his book and watching him always made my day better.. RIP Norm
Wow that "I don't smoke" hits different now
Norms video podcast was bangers. Not sure who owns the rights to it, I heard he had to hand it over to Netflix when they did the Netflix special , but I don't know. Whom ever has it, do the right thing, just let them free. These interviews are some of the funniest ever made. Nice job on this tribute bud!
Truth sir. I would watch the podcast episodes over and over and never get sick of them. The Andy dick episode I mean Andy was laughing the whole way thru and so will anyone watching.
I will miss this man so much. One of the best comics ever.
I can say he was the smartest, quick-witted Polish I've ever known. And I know a lot. I live here. RIP Norm.
I don't know I'd ever heard: "Why do dogs run to the door? It's almost never for them" and it cracked me up a belter.
Norm's last wee joke there about not losing to cancer, it's a draw is actually tremendously comforting to me.
Most people I can do without but now I have to do without someone I can't.
Norm was a rare original.
RIP Norm. You will forever be missed and nothing will ever replace your unflinching wit and charm.
A great comedian..and a greater person!! Loved seeing him on SNL ...such a loss RIP Norm
Great compilation. We'll miss him.
