From the into, I very much thought you guys were having tacos made with squid ink due to the black colour and I was thinking you were brave Kathryn. Never would have known those ingredients could make the black sauce! I've had the Sopa de Lima when I went to Costa Rica. I couldn't remember what it was called on the menu, but its stuck with me for the years as it was that good (I'm a sucker for soup) and today I've learnt what it was after watching you guys eat it! 🙌 Really enjoyed this video, love a good nosey around a market and I can't help but chuckle over how different actual Mexican food is in comparison to the butchered Mexican food you find in the 'international foods' isle in the supermarket! I'm pleased I ate dinner before sitting down to watch this! 🤣

I studied Spanish in school for many years, worked in the restaurant industry with lots of Spanish speakers, and taught for 6 years to mostly students who spoke Spanish as a first or second language. With all that you'd think I'd be fluent, but unfortunately I'm not. Hopefully one day!

You should pitch a TV show to one of the cable networks that do reality shows. Call it something like Van Life Food Life to leverage off the van life hype. Start by finding a show runner who knows the industry and how to pitch it. You'll get famous and mega rich and maybe still be such nice people.

It's the safest city in Mexico and one of the safest in North America! In our two weeks there we had zero safety issues and didn't see anything that made us feel unsafe. Of course, things can happen anywhere, though!

We’ll agree with that. Food in the US compared to many countries over seas is lacking for sure. That’s something we’ve noticed in our travels. Other cultures just seem to take more pride and care in their food quality and preparation

We make the videos that we want to make and do activities that interest us and you're welcome to skip it if it doesn't interest you. After how hard we work to make our videos, it is hurtful to get comments like this. We see lots of things online that we don’t particularly care for, but we keep our negative opinions and thoughts to ourselves.
