Probably our favorite out of the first 3 episodes. Soo Lets all grab a drink, some snacks and watch along together as these two brothers watch in horror as to what happens next.

Everybody talks about episode 4. This was more horrible. The people have full consciences , they know what is happening to them. "You cannot even administer morphine"... the most human would be end their suffering by bullet, but true be told, it was also a unique research about how much people endure such high dosage, so no euthanasia for you, comrade...

I'm grateful that you're so understanding towards Ignatenko's wife. It's easy for people watching to say they wouldn't do what she did, but considering how she was sheltered from knowing the full truth/extent of her husband's injuries its understandable that she'd want to stay by his side. I believe there's a book written either by her, or from her point of view. I unfortunately can't remember the title of it, but others have recommended it (after finishing this show, ofc).

One of my favorite bits of cienamtography in the scene where Legasov and the KGB leader is talking you can see the portrait of Ivan the Terrible having killed his own son and the stunned face he has. I feel like that was done on purpose, considering if you look at the painting by itself you can see the sheer horror of Ivans face is a clear expression of "What have I done?"
Anything with the coal miner, he was great !!!

In real life Minister of coal didn't give a choice to a miners. When he came to a coal mine, he gives 24 hours to miners, to be ready to go, and that's all. And in real life they worked in the underwear

I liked your reaction to this episode more than the first two--not as much drinking! I love this series and am glad you are reacting to it. It's just incredible that it even occurred and hearing them talk about what could have happened is even more scary. Great job!

The show slowly has you walking down into the horror. Epi 4 will be very difficult--be prepared. The wife did not know what the viewers know--she was told he had burns from the fire. The miners also represent just ordinary people who do extraordinary things for the common good. So much sacrifice. Even today in Russia--totally unrecognized. That is why Putin was outraged at the series being aired. He felt it put Russia is an unfavorable light. Seems things never change. . .
not only outrage, they immediately start to create own miniserie how everything was a CIA operative subterfuge - nuclear reactor would never fail in glorious soviet union. But then later the full might of propaganda swinged to "denazification" of some random neighbour ...

The scene with the miners mocking the Minister of Coal is completely unrealistic. He would never have visited the mine in person, and even if he had, they would have been careful to keep their distance. Nobody was going around slapping Soviet ministers.

I dont think you guys read all my comments from Episode 1 and 2. if you did you wouldnt asking the questions you are now, so Im somewhat disappointed. You guys also let out a lot of the keys scenes in this episode. For these reasons Im giving you a DISLIKE for this one. I hope next episode is better

Well I know that son! Did you watch the reactions to this movie by EOM? It was the first movie he did a reaction to. Jay is perhaps the most "Jumpy" of any youtube reaction makers Ive seem.
