I think he learned about socks from Dave Easley. One time Dave and I were in the studio in New York Just about the time Seamus came in Dave opens up a suitcase It had his clothes and effects in it. No matching socks. Dave did the cd with unmatching socks, this reminded me of that. Dave and Kurt played with the Brian Blade Fellowship wayback. Just trivia????
I know the club is empty for the recording session, but when I see this video the only thing I can think is about all those clubs empty, without people...I hope soon we start again to play for people ❤️🎶🎸
I'm "liking" your comment while disagreeing with you because it's quite annoying to see any video here with the top comment being all cheesy and lacking any kind of insight. You at least have a clear criticism that *could* be addressed. Personally I think the delay sounds fine but I wouldn't consider myself to know shit about dialing in good delay settings.
Gorgeous! So soft, smooth, and warm sounding… that’s jazz guitar
When you see Kurt's blinking you know it's gonna be good, and i would say thats almost 100% of the time.
Great guitar, great musician, great tone, and ... great socks... 🙏 thanks

It's always a great pleasure to listen such a talented musician, God bless you Kurt.

Excelent!
I wonder about that guitar brand.
It's a Moffa Maestro archtop.
@@twofiveone9433 Thanks bro
I keep looping this video..so beautiful. Also, how may I purchase a Zig Zag neon sign for my studio? :)
Hi, anybody knows what guitar it is here ?
Moffa Maestro. A handbuilt italian archtop by the one and only Nico Moffa.
@@JanLarsenFredriksen That would actually be a Moffa Maryan. A great guitar!
Just so incredible. What is the pedal Kurt has his foot on?
I Think he press the pedal down to hold the tone(more delay/sustain, so he manage the effects with the pedal).
@@Guitarunivers Thank you!
It controls the delay, when is down = no delay, up = adds the delay.
@@papasmamas1 Thank You!

👍👌🙏
is that pedal just volume?
That pedal controls how awesome he is, it’s pretty much always on 11
If you listen from 7:30 (for example) you'll notice it controls the amount of delay.
A more clear example at 9:20.
🥱
Didnt dig the delay tempo setup 😕

im gonna get hate for this but I really don't like his sound here...he sounds muffled...playing is phenomenal as always
Humbucker pick ups. It's a jazz thing
