    Fun fact; a cascading gain circuit was also unique to Randy Rhoads’ Marshall amplifiers

    Just ordered the 100 watt version today. 6 month waiting list! But I’m absolutely sure it will be worth the wait. Great sounding amp!

    Derrick, was re-watching this and wondered what happened to you? You have some killer gear demos (such as this one), and miss you doing this stuff. I originally found you on here by your bandmate, Kyle. His channel is great, also. You guys actually made me order some Bushido music, as I love this stuff! Ha Ha!
    Anyway, I came back to watch this vid, to see what gear that you were actually playing through? A V with a Duncan Distortion in the bridge, and Eminence speakers... Nice! My question is, which Eminence speakers, cuz your tone is mean, and I love it! I have V30 loaded cabs, but I may have to try these speakers!
    Thank You, brutha, and hopefully you get some more content up!

    Cool Tones, Man! I just modified a Ceriatone Handwired 800 for somebody and it didn't have anywhere the gain this does.

  • @moribnd
    @moribnd 3 года назад +2

    Derrick, do you find yourself using an OD pedal in front of this at home most of the time? I am trying to decide which Ceriatone amp would be best if I like using pedals. The kind of tone I like is Obituary/Celtic Frost rhythm guitar and the recent Darkthrone (Old Star), tuned to Eb, D standard, C# standard, C standard. It seems the best amps for thrash, NWOBHM, and death-doom are: Yeti, Chupa, King Kong and Leviathan.

    • @derrickvoricci7529
      @derrickvoricci7529  3 года назад +2

      If those are the tones you’re searching for, I’d say the Chupa would be great! Grab that KHDK or similar OD for the front, and maybe a Rat (I’m sure you know), or Fortin Fuzz, to color your tone with.

    • @moribnd
      @moribnd 3 года назад

      @@derrickvoricci7529 interesting that you use the Ghoul Screamer. I don't even know if I've found the right OD/DS pedal yet. I have the Maxon SuperTube Pro+ and the EQD Plumes currently (and a RAT clone with different chip/circuit).

    • @moribnd
      @moribnd 3 года назад

      I also noticed you using the BK Painkiller bridge pickup. That one is interesting and I've not yet tried it. Could be one of the best passive pickups on the market. I recommend trying the Fishman Classic bridge if you find one in a guitar... or even try out the Epiphone Prophecy guitars that arrived in 2020.

    How does the Ceriatone Chupa compares to the Splawn Quick Rod? I'm more into 80ies Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (Moetley Crue, Extreme, Ratt ...) and some more modern heavy stuff (Firewind, Primal Fear).
