Thanks for the detailed review. I like the CLK 55 very much. Recently had one come up for sale near me. Black, hard top low millage, I was ready. At this point, wifey would kill me If show up here with another car. Thanks for watching.
I have a 2001 E430 and I still love it after owing it for 4 years. I recently took it across the country and back for my mother’s funeral and I drove it 4000 miles in 10 days and it averaged nearly 27mpg at close to 70mph. Wonderful cars.
I am lucky to own one from 2000, the updated version. Has been a reliable car for me even things broke down with time, there is something about this car I love. In a world of Teslas and other electric ones I feel happy to have an oldie but fabulous car to keep on the road. The leather seats (Not Imitation leatherette in new Mercedes, the old navigation system which still works which took me from Texas to Massachusetts and didn’t get lost. I enjoy driving this car and will keep it forever. It gets expensive or maintain at the dealership if you are like me who just drives it but doesn’t know how to work on it. Recently my radiator leaked badly so the dealership took a bit of time trying to find me a new one since lots of parts Mercedes Benz had stopped making it but I found it that Mercedes actually does not make it but only ordered from other sources so I have a new radiator unfortunately I have inherited another problem with my air conditioning but as we speak I think is the radiator and AC not fixed properly. Anyway if you don’t know how to work on cars considered a new one and if you have the money just don’t be cheap and pay the right mechanics to work on your car.
I loved my 2011 mb c300. That car made driving to work tolerable. No matter how bad my day was it all melted away driving home. I love the E55, it’s a classic badass car ❤
Get that car dry ice cleaned in the summer months dry weather. And super sealed underneath as their prone to rust as merc skimped on the anti corrosion paints and the top coat is really light too. But what a car
@@ClassyTacos your welcome.. Prevention is key with this model. So many Rotted out in Europe because of poor underseal. The sooner the better. As they were a stunning looking car...especially the AMG. My dad had only the same model E320 cdi avant-garde silver 3.2 tdi.. Diesel. What a Carr spec. Not AMG level.. But we'll finished leather chairs.. We. Put the same wheels on. 190bhp for a diesel it went well in Ireland. Lol
I owned a 2001 for a year and love it. It’s original, so some miscellaneous things need to fix for a 20+ year old car. Second cat converter is broken and making noise, headliner sag, a/c not working properly, cd changer not working, roof drain hose is clogged. But overall, I’m glad to own a AMG Benz.
I have a Tacoma and I’m always here for your Tacoma content. I just purchased a 2000 e55 amg yesterday to drive to and from work! Great content keep it up!
Did we just become best friends. Thanks, I appreciate it. Once you get used to it, let me know how you like it. I'm still trying to decide if I'm too biased.
Dig the video and loved to hear your impressions!! Hope she's still going well, subbed and liked! I got a CLK 55 with practically the same engine as this and that N/A AMG M113 is just so close to perfect. It's very underrated tbh, everyone thinks of the M113K because it has the Kompressor setup but the higher compression N/A engine is just as great! Less moving parts, less heat/heat soak, less weight, less to go wrong... Just an interesting insight, I've also had a 2005.5 Audi S4 Quattro Sedan with the N/A 4.2L V8 Audi used at the time making 340HP. It revved to 7k RPM as opposed to the AMG M113's 6,000-6,400RPM depending on the model. However, it had zero soul oddly enough. The power was just so linear, like an ICE version of an electric motor lol. The 5.4L AMG M113 is even more willing to throttle inputs, has more torque at a lower RPM, and has power just as available everywhere as the Audi's 4.2L. Not to mention it sounds better than the Audi's too.
Finally someone said it 😉 I have now fifth Mercedes, previous 3 BMW and l' m not fun of BMW' s handling. In the past directly change from 260E W124 into 750i E32 and steering wheel was incredible stiff.

W210 e55 is an amazing driving car. Better than an e39 m5
