You must be an old soul. It brings me great joy on how you approach things in the old school and simple ways of doing things. Thank you for your content.
@garysurovec personally VGG got old and fast, for me. Once he figured out he had a formula to get views, Derick didn’t really change much. Even though his schtick was getting stale. Anyways, that guy has loads of money now so good for him. It’s good to see a new channel come along. You never know what to expect with Simon’s videos. They feel much more honest. I don’t believe for one second that Derrick takes the time to make a video for VGG if the vehicle won’t run, so in a way VGG has always felt a little staged.
The bit with the impact driver failing on those lug nuts was one of the most relatable things I've seen on youtube, ever. I finally upgraded to a compact dewalt impact that was on sale recently after years of using only hand tools and hammers while rolling around in a gravel driveway, straight up life changing. Congrats on the new wrench!
I had a 74 Bronco I rolled it, my dad flip it back over with his 76 f150 using a boat strap, drove it another 18 months lol. New windshield, plexiglass door windows lol....
thank GOD you FINALLY got an actual impact. It’s been driving me crazy for months. Even a pneumatic impact is $60, never understood why you never had one.
Bro for real lol I even thought about buying one and finding a way to ship it to him. Like bro, please get an impact already. You do way too much wrenching not to have one lol they're soooo nice to have.
I love when other youtube mechanics say that it takes twice as long to get anything done when they have to set up a camera. Im thinking it must take simon about five times longer than them to get anything done. So much effort put into great shots of every detail, thanks man.
Those Survivorman style shots where he's filming himself driving from afar look especially painful to set up, and then you have to backtrack to get the camera after.
You’re a madman for even attempting to drive that thing in winter on those old rotted tires. I love it. This has become easily my favorite channel from watching RUclips car content for years. No talking, brilliant filming, and some very clever mechanical hacks. I’ve legit learned a lot from binging the channel and I look forward to each new one. Well done sir. But be careful lol.
The Mullet Mobile! I got one of these, was a 79, running for my Uncle Jim years ago as he wanted to sell it. I got it working. He sold it for some paltry amount to some kid who wrapped it around a telephone pole the same weekend. That was short lived.
It was great to see both of you doing things together. Enjoy every minuet of those times. I lost my Wife of 45 years this past March. Much respect to Sir. Has always I liked and shared. All my very best.
Ah man this speaks to my heart. I have a Camaro myself, dreamcar, finally got it after all these years. Old chars are just great and beautiful, full of individual character. Wish the modern cars would look like this.
Since i found your videos a couple of months ago i have been watching every single one of them... crazy how calming your content is. Your channel really evolved into one of if not my favourite automotive channel of all time. Your content may not be for everyone because of the length and editing style of it but it sure as hell hits the spot for me. Really appreciate the work you put in.
Simon..one more comment. You remind me so much of myself when i was younger. I am 54. I was always outside, riding the trails, fishing with by buddies, and young wife. Working on cars. Your interesting, alot of your generation..not all.. would rather play video games. Glad to see younger generation doing the outdoors stuff...take care.
Why do I follow this channel from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia... with great passion? 1- Brief filming but with rich content with clear filming angles about the repair method 2- High filming quality 3- And most importantly, they are silent videos!! How much I love that

So glad to you kids doing things together. The family that plays together stays together. Love the cat . I hope you can continue to make these videos. They bring back such fond memories of a simpler more relaxed time. I can't express what that means to me. Bless you.
I would like to point out that the "silent"/"ASMR" part is really unique. the production is really nice, you really stand out among the others (in a good way). It's always nice to watch your videos!
1:11:58 ooooh it hurt seeing that Bronco II upside down as someone currently restoring one :( You certainly have a lot of potential projects in your area though! Which means more videos for us and that makes me very happy :)
I’m so happy you got that new Ryobi impact! Watching you struggle to get those lugs off was tough-my heart went out to you. The moment I saw you drop your old impact on the table, I knew you were heading to the store to get a new one. I was thrilled to see you stick with Ryobi tools. It’s tempting to go for Makita or DeWalt, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Ryobi. I’ve been hoping you’d upgrade your tools for a while now, so I’m glad you finally did. You should definitely treat yourself to a good impact socket set next. I know money’s tight, so no pressure-just something to think about for the future. And if you’re open to it, I’d be happy to donate a bit to help out. If I know it’s going to help you get by a little better and buy tools, I’m all in!
I love this channel and its basic tools, but I wish I could buy him a set of impact sockets. I'd send him a Tekton set if he'd accept it! Let me know Simon! Offer stands!
I personally love air impacts for stuff in the shop, but a good chunky battery operated impact with a bigass battery are great for tight spaces an air hose would be difficult if not impossible to get into, as well as field work for when you don't want to carry a large air compressor around with you. Good buy for sure.
I went through the same thing on lugs, but on a bus. 1/2 drive impact, no dice. 3/4 air impact, nope. 1 inch impact with a bigger air hose and finally got them! Sold the bus and paid for the additional tools! Great video again!
Mi first car was a blue 1981 Camaro Berlinetta. It was a V6 rated at 92 hp and I used every single one of them. I loved that care, but wrecked it a year later and bought a GMC S15. It was 1989 and mini-trucks were taking over. Thanks for the memories! ❤
Old cars have their own soul. I see mainly young guys on you tube trashing them by jumping them in the dirt and ramming them into things. That makes me is sick. This young man is a gift from god. He takes these old machines and makes them have yet more life. Thank you for your wonderful videos and saving these cars that were once people’s pride and joy
I felt your pain on that lug nut situation when I needed to change the timing belt on my Honda Odyssey. My Makita 1/2" impact wasn't touching the crank bolt, even with the heavy duty socket meant for this purpose. A breaker bar was pointless, even with an 8 foot cheater pipe. In the past I have had to use a torch but I always worried about it cooking something like the harmonic balancer so this time I went and bought a Milwaukee 1/2" impact. It spun that bolt off like it was nothing. I fully intended to take it back if it didn't work but I was sold on it. Glad to see that the Ryobi was more than up to the task!
Saw this Camaro on FB for sale this week. Great job snagging it. Youre the right man to get this car in order! Cant wait to see how it is by the end of the video. Keep up the great work man!!
I was so happy to see you buy a new impact! I’ll say I do love my Milwaukee impacts. Huge bang for your buck and can take some pretty crazy abuse. My grandfather always said there’s no substitute for the right tool. Invest in your business and keep upgrading that tool arsenal!
I've been running with Ryobi for years now myself, with no complaints. He did ask a lot of that little screw gun though, and until now it did an incredible job. Definitely time to upgrade the torque output though....
@ I’m all for ryobi don’t get me wrong. I just got into Milwaukee early and already have all the batteries. Just easier to buy red for me. Seems like he’s got the set up for ryobi and does well with them!
Congrats from Chile. 👏👏👏
Your videos are a tribute to all the people who, in other times, worked to build the future we enjoy today. It is a great honor to be able to follow a little of your journey. Congratulations and thank you.
Too bad the Camaro had two big problems. So, this parts car can save another Camaro. Bronco II’s have a reputation for instability. The beautiful upside down turquoise model brought a smile to my face! The north shore of Lake Superior is beautiful. Thanks for taking us along on the trip.
It’s inspiring, really appreciate your videos. What’s your job? Did you learn by yourself or you’ve taken lessons? Your problem-solving it’s impressive. Best regards👍🏽
I’m not really a car guy but lately have gotten hooked on these types of vids, just wanted to let you know that I watched every second of this video as if I were watching Bladerunner for the first time, totally riveted by your masterful cinematography skills, every camera angle perfect, every minor nuance blended flawlessly. No dialog needed at all. You are a damn good filmmaker. Thanks for the trip!
You must be an old soul. It brings me great joy on how you approach things in the old school and simple ways of doing things. Thank you for your content.
Simon Fordman
The one and only " first like then watch the video" guy on RUclips
Congrats on your new tool, you deserve it
Simon Chevroletman strikes again.
lol
patiently awaiting the birth of simon moparman
Simon Toyotaman
It's weird that we have a Simon BMWman.
Simon smk man.. Indonesian famous car.. 😂
Okay but the snake door lock is actually sick as hell.
Thought the same thing. Shame the rest of the car was such a pile.
Sadly you can't save them all no matter how hard you try. But at least you gave the old girl one last run of her engine.
And I was just telling myself I've been itching for a simon fordman special today. Great timing. Can't wait to enjoy it!
Same feeling for me ahah
Me too
Don’t wait, enjoy it now!!
enjoy watching him clean mice feces
This is so much better than the "Will it run and drive" videos from other channels. At least there is an effort here to make it usable. Thank you.
You said a mouthful friend.
Pull it out of one field and park it in another?
@JerryBanks572 Exactly, that formula is getting really old.
@JerryBanks572 then keep saying I'll get to it one day like the previous owner.
@garysurovec personally VGG got old and fast, for me. Once he figured out he had a formula to get views, Derick didn’t really change much. Even though his schtick was getting stale. That moment where he got the new tool felt like he was saying "I'm not asking, now GET OFF."
My wife and I love your videos. I'm a car guy, too. Working on tri-five Chevys at 75 years young. Go Simon.
Awesome to hear that. Thanks
@SimonFordman vice grip gave a comaro to paintucation.. in about the same state.. nearly.. he likes fixing them.. ausie.. again.. excellent vids..
Whoever put that Bronco II upside down in the Salvage Yard has a great sense of humor. (They were notorious for rollovers, when new)
I had a 74 Bronco I rolled it, my dad flip it back over with his 76 f150 using a boat strap, drove it another 18 months lol. New windshield, plexiglass door windows lol....

@Андрей-ы1х Присоединяюсь!

he honestly has the best filmmaking of any car youtuber I've seen yet he doesn't need commentary the videography says it all
Even vacuuming looks interesing when he films it!
@ThePlasticBridesthat's what I'm saying, but when I do it it SUCKS 😂
Every person who entrusts his car to your magical hands for repair should appreciate your ability and drive on the road with ease.
Healing up from a work accident, this is by far the best channel to pass by the time. Keep up the good work Simon.
Don't be surprised if one of your subscribers sends you a set of impact sockets.
Really enjoy your work.
Channels rounding 200k!
Babe, wake up again. another masterpiece from Simon has been dropped

You have the patience of a saint bringing back to life such wasted cars with all the unforeseen problems that come with it, I'm impressed
The ryobi impact upgrade goes so hard after this long of stickng out with the 1/4 driver!
Ah man this speaks to my heart. I have a Camaro myself, dreamcar, finally got it after all these years. Old chars are just great and beautiful, full of individual character. Wish the modern cars would look like this.
Shame this one was rusted to the ground and the connecting rods were headed out.
But it's real no out takes just finding turning wrenches and see what we end up with can not all be winners and that's the best part
No music. No talking. Just straight to business. Enjoying your videos down here in Texas. Keep up the good work man.
Simon..one more comment. You remind me so much of myself when i was younger. I am 54. I was always outside, riding the trails, fishing with by buddies, and young wife. Working on cars. Men of Culture here we are again. Thxs Simon for reuniting us with another Quality Video 📹 👌🏽
One of the only channels that every video on the front page, has been watched. Cheers!
Good to see the ol' Torino in the background
Getting the biggest electric impact he could find but still using non-impact sockets with it is the most relatable content on all of RUclips.
My new favorite channel!! I admire your knowledge at such a young age. Amazing!
Some of the best non commentary no nonsense straight to business content I have seen in a long while, thanks for the great viewing 👍😎
Way better no-nonsense know-how IMHO.
Why do I follow this channel from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia... with great passion?
1- Brief filming but with rich content with clear filming angles about the repair method
2- High filming quality
3- And most importantly, they are silent videos!!
How much I love that
36:32 "The big one! 😮" so happy for ya man!
Dude! I had the exact same cobra head locks in my 1980 Z28. Got them in the bargain bin at our local ALCO around 2001. Had a weird cheap tweety bird air freshener hanging from the rearview that everyone made fun of too but I left it up the whole time I had it lol. Drove that car through high school sold it in 05. You just unlocked some hardcore memories there man. Leaky window seals that soaked your pants in the rain while driving and sticky steering wheel on a hot summer day. Thanks for the flashback Simon.
So nice just to watch and not get talked to....refreshing relaxing change.
A fresh evening video, thanks Simon!
I like white cleaning vinegar for jobs like this Camaro. It's cheap, organic, strong enough and leaves no odor. Great content.
So glad to you kids doing things together. The family that plays together stays together. Love the cat . I hope you can continue to make these videos. They bring back such fond memories of a simpler more relaxed time. I can't express what that means to me. Bless you.
Glad you got the old truck out in that weather! That's why you spent so much time and effort on it! Very Cool!
Yea, it've been wanting to do that with it for a while.
I would like to point out that the "silent"/"ASMR" part is really unique. the production is really nice, you really stand out among the others (in a good way). It's always nice to watch your videos!
Thank you
Simon.....
You make life a little more bearable!
THANK YOU🙂💯👍
Your simplicity and approach are what made me subscribe to your channel, Simon Fordman. Your videos are too good to watch!
37:30 mr Fordman doing both repairs and weight reduction. Great video as usual my friend, thank you
It didn't save the Camaro but it saved the beautiful ride. Congratulations from Brasil
This is art
your videos are simply amazing to watch and a breath of fresh air

Ever since I discovered you, whenever I see a "restoring" video and they shout at the camera or put on 🗑 music I instantly click out the video😂😂
Made me smile when the new impact worked. Great video!
1:11:58 ooooh it hurt seeing that Bronco II upside down as someone currently restoring one :(
You certainly have a lot of potential projects in your area though! Which means more videos for us and that makes me very happy :)

The things I would do to see you thoroughly clean everything on and inside the cars it’s so satisfying to watch genuinely please do more of it
From Russia with love 🐱🐱🐱. Thanks for the video.
That doll house will come in handy for storing extra wrenches and screw drivers. Your camera work is just outstanding..
Good job Simon, keep up the good work! From Russia with love!!
A very talented young man with high perseverance and strong self-confidence, I hope you will continue to be at the top in your old age
No need for subtitles, the images are enough, great atmosphere that gets the brain boiling and gives its dose of satisfaction.

once again Ryobi for the win 🤙 great video fordman 👏👏👏👏
Great video, please keep them coming. Doing the 70's and 80's vehicles are the most enjoyable to watch.
So good to watch you working in every car even if no talk, action speaks louder than words and loving it 😍
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. As a Minnesotan I love seeing & following your adventures. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! stay warm
Wow) One of the only channels that every video on the front page, has been watched.)))
Thank you… been jones’in for an episode brother…!
Everyone here on the late night maintenance crew loves your work
Awesome!
Love the faithful blue an yellow hammer. . . Thank you, Simon, for real stuff. In Joni’s words; “real good, for free”.
This car has been through the wringer! You are nothing short of a miracle worker, Mr. Fordman!
Old cars have their own soul. I see mainly young guys on you tube trashing them by jumping them in the dirt and ramming them into things. That makes me is sick. This young man is a gift from god. Exactly
Dang dude a Fluid Film t shirt???? Amazing
Please never stop making these! There's no other content like this out there
When you pulled into Home Depot I got extremely excited. NEW IMPACT WRENCH!! YES!! Been waiting forever for this moment!
Just subscribed yesterday after finding the "Last Drive" video and binging almost all of your other videos and BAM! New video.
Last ride almost make me cry 😅
@hunt4rbrunoit did me as well. I'm wondering if this Camaro will get one, pushed until those rods break loose.
I am in Iran and I downloaded all your videos despite RUclips filtering and am watching them on TV. Very beautiful..
Saw this Camaro on FB for sale this week. Great job snagging it. Youre the right man to get this car in order! Cant wait to see how it is by the end of the video. Keep up the great work man!!
Spoiler... 😂
@kyloren8236 ya, needs a spoiler😉
I had that same Camaro in high school. I really miss that car.
As far as I know this guy has two skills: Working on cars and making films. He is using them both very well
I was so happy to see you buy a new impact! I’ll say I do love my Milwaukee impacts. Huge bang for your buck and can take some pretty crazy abuse. My grandfather always said there’s no substitute for the right tool. Invest in your business and keep upgrading that tool arsenal!
Reckon the scrap price of that Camaro will be enough to pay for his new impact?
I've been running with Ryobi for years now myself, with no complaints. He did ask a lot of that little screw gun though, and until now it did an incredible job. Definitely time to upgrade the torque output though....
@ I’m all for ryobi don’t get me wrong. I just got into Milwaukee early and already have all the batteries. Just easier to buy red for me. Seems like he’s got the set up for ryobi and does well with them!
Yes! And he should have gotten some impact sockets to go with it, they'll last forever when chrome sockets cracks sooner than later.
Hi Simon!
Mate slow down or soon there won't be any more junk cars for the others!
Quality as always - cheers
0:27 A barn find?!
Congrats from Chile. 👏👏👏
1:03:38 such a Christine vibe when she would back into her stall at the junkyard.
I can confirm that ! 👍
Simon miro siempre tus videos. Saludos desde Corrientes, Argentina 😊
32:48 dope as hell
It’s inspiring, really appreciate your videos. What’s your job? Did you learn by yourself or you’ve taken lessons?
Your problem-solving it’s impressive.
Best regards👍🏽
I watch your videos from Brazil, I'm restoring a 1978 Brazilian C10 at home, assembling a V8. Hugs
Love your videos. Very relaxing to watxh. That is one rusted camaro. Always good to see old engines run again
