Ok, it's much better after adding a spacer as you described.
Cool idea Isabella! Never thought of that. I do use the silicone lube all the time. Works wonders on o-rings in my canister filters.

I liked the video, personally I like when the filter makes sounds mainly because it lets me knows that it’s working and if it’s too quiet I think something is wrong with it. But i didn’t know it being too loud can damage it. Thanks for being informative.
There's always some.noise but the endless noise keeps my clients up at night so had to find a proper fix :)

how long does it work ? i just tried it in my hob filter and it's effective but now im worried about the dirt or plants that may below the motor , even small gap there's still a chance that it may clogged.
What would you recommend for a Cascade 1500 that is making noise? I've tried my best to get the air out. When I run the motor dry, as you did towards the end, it makes a crunchy sound, not a airy sound as you described. But I don't think I can add silicone tubing to a Cascade impeller because it's different compared to the motor in your video. What do you think.

Hi, is there a certain type of silicone oil you would recommend that is nontoxic and safe for fix tank? Looks like you have treadmill belt oil?
100 percent silicone lub is not toxic.
Any suggestions for tge buzzing sound inside aquarium from sponge filter?
just bought a new Submersible pump is normal u can heard " hmm hmm " sound? I mean is not loud kinda like " white noise " . I doubt I got lemon set cos the Submersible pump work fine. i check around everyone claim is Normal Submersible pump also produce noise even place inside the water.

What would one do if you have a hanging Aquino quiet flow filter (for a 10gal tank) and you try to take apart the filter and find the impeller but I cannot find this component and everything I try doesn't irradiate this superrr loud rattling noise?? I have brainstormed and tried SO many things. And I have only had this filter for like a month!
Sometimes you just need to change the parts
I didn't know I have to pull that metal pin out...I taught it has to be glued 😂.. my filter is making a big noise and the fish tank is shaking and vibrating so hard...I will try this method 👍

Interesting, I have 3 120 size aquaclear hob filters and after a few months they become so noisy!! I clean out the motor every 3 months, going to try out this idea
It works great on aquaclear which are the noisiest of filters I know :)
Nice idea but didn't work for me, using Whisper pf10. For some reason the larger sized filter is silent, but I even returned the first small one to the store and got a replacement. It's better but still loud, a constant buzzing that's pretty annoying.

All my cheap filters make those crunchy noises outside the water and (less so) inside the water. What could get rid of that noise?
Change the impeller and don't ever let it run dry

Of it's the aquascleae, you need to simply buy a.new motor and a new impaller
1:47 mine has only 1 of these and makes a lott of noise, i’m thinking its because 1 of them is not on there
Sorry my ignorance, i just started the hobby... doesn't thay contaminates the wster, the lube i mean... it's in contact with the water...
Thank you, I did an unconventional method, I used olive oil and it stopped making any sounds, will see how long it lasts.
Olive will last a few days but thicker silicon lub will remain
@@AquazoneQC Haha yep, it lasted like 2 days, then I bought silicone vaseline and it's been going for more than one week or so xD.
