@@bethlovett7612 I'm thinking about doing this on myself also however I have hair color next week and if I botch this up I will never live it down from my stylist! Hahaha
I’ve been cutting for 30 years and this is by far the easiest way to get a PERFECT face frame. I love being able to learn new things still after all these years. We want to make things easier not harder. THANK YOU !
I've done this on myself before, but I put the whole front section in a forward ponytail and pull it outward like he did and cut at that angle he did too and it perfectly frames everything every time. 👍
I wish you would've used a real model and not a mannequin head. Most people don't have that much hair.. And it looks like too much got cut out for a face frame. But maybe it just looks that way because of the thickness of the mannequin head's hair..
I’ve been framing my hair for years and if you do it the way he says in the video, this works! Just wish I would’ve known how to do this all along. Thank you!
Am I the only one who sees that it's not symmetrical? Thanks God it's not a living person. For those who can't get what they want from their stylists - why not show them this video? Please don't try doing that on your own.
This is a good video but what irritated me the most was that he did not just put in one single clip on both sides of her hair. The little pieces of hair Coming Back while he was cutting.lazy
Carrie Bishop he is dry cutting after carefully straightening clean hair. If you put a clip in, you create a mark and kink in the hair you just smoothed out. That’s why he said he either uses chopsticks or no clip. Also hair chopsticks are a thing. There’s a reason he didn’t use a clip. He clearly stated the reason. .
@@moonbubbles3046 is better to section the hair properly to be able to cut it properly. He can always style it after. He didn't have to straighten it first.
Can you please tell me specifically which "humidity sheild" product you are referring to from your No Frizz franchise" that you speak of in this video? I have the most ridiculous looking hair when its humid out! Thank you
I was looking forward to the final outcome, but the video ends with it still pushed over her eyes. ??? She's not going to walk around like that unable to see. I want to see how the layers fall when she pushes it back off her face. So weird... :(
Oddly enough I had just lightly trimmed my hair with that shape & then saw your video immediately afterwards lol. So I did it again in the way you demonstrated. It works so much easier than what I was doing & I went back one extra section behind the ears. Good timing & thank you for sharing this!!!
Hubby just cut my hair per your instructions... he said you made it easy for him to follow, although next time he needs to perfect the angle! Thank you for your time!
Thank you so much for choosing a blonde hair manikin , Makes it much easier to see your guideline and what you doing . Great and a smart way to do face framing thank you.
I wish i could it my self i cut my 💇 my self. But i always have such a hard time trying to cut my long face bangs😭 i wish you can make a video for us that cut our own hair at home...
Wasn’t going to try this one because I cut my own hair..but I thought what the heck…I’m so over point cutting my baby fine hair. It was a little awkward but wow..took my diy haircut to a new level. Perfect frame! Tysm!😮😍😘
What if you have curly hairy, and straighten with a flat iron first, then will this look weird once it goes curly again? Can I try this myself, or is it only for professionals?
Who's here for a quarantine haircut
🙋♀️😂
😁

Mee. and I'm going back to school soo wish me luck ✋😩
If only my hair looked that thick and perfect to begin with!

Can you make another video just like this but if you're cutting your own hair
Thank you
Yes, please!
I'm a hair stylist just do work in the business yet
thnx... actually i tried it on myself.. came out perfectly like you said... thnk uuu....
How did you manage that? Would love to but too scared.
After visiting different hairdressers, they couldnt do what i wanted, so tried this on my self and it worked👌
I'm thinking about doing mine too

Good to hear! I was thinking about trying it myself too
How great is that ☺
I realized how soothing his voice was when I started to get sleepy.

Best tutorial guide EVER! Sweet, simple and professional!
I trained with him in Charlotte. He is an excellent instructor. Very passionate about teaching others!
so lucky!

I agree, just did it. turned out great. and i have curly hair so yea
So nice ❤
Maybe my eyes are lopsided but her left side was about 1/2 longer
I noticed he dropped his hand a lil further down..
Yeah it looked like crap.
Christa ray 29 yeah, he went from point on the upper lip to point on the lower chin.
I saw that too
.......and his hand was shaking when he started cutting on that side. Imagine paying top dollar for that.....and he's an instructor.
Wow awesome , I love it!!! Totally new evolutionary hair cut technique for a perfect face framming layers!. This is going to be my new next hair cut .

I totally agree.
He explained in the beginning about not using a clip. It messes up the flat iron used previously
Smart but left side was longer than right side so final face frame was lopsided.
Maxine McCartney ... Yes! I noticed that also!!
I’ve been framing my hair for years and if you do it the way he says in the video, this works! Just wish I would’ve known how to do this all along. Thank you!
Just clip those hairs on the backside so that they will not be hurdle while cutting front hairs
You should use clips when sectioning the hair to show us.

I'm trying to figure out what to do if you have a side part. Any other videos for that?
He wouldn't be touching my hair, pro or not the hair cut on mannequin was uneven
It’s a great tutorial but that girl already looks like Jennifer Aniston, try that on a curly Sue instead!
They look so real.
he did say do it on a straight style

one sec, let me *almost gauge my clients eyes out*
guage? or gouge?
Gouge!!!

lovelao76 It would be nice if he used clips so we could clip over the cutting angle in advance so we had a guide to the cutting.
Its all look easy n gd but not for ppl with short fingers. 😖
Thank you so much for choosing a blonde hair manikin ,

Great and a smart way to do face framing thank you.
Axis cutting. Was that once called an A cut?
What is a gravity cut?
Could you do this the same way with the hair wet?
This would be really difficult to do on yourself.
"sometimes I use a chopstick to hold the hair"
Well fuck me.

Who cuts hair with a tail comb and scissors?!
Sam villa taught this a few years ago on his channel.
Not the same, but close
Sam taught twisting the hair completely over to cut the fringe that has a face frame effect. One of my go to techniques on clients.
Now. I'd rather do it properly and get the best result.
Genius hairstylist.. 😁
Wasn’t going to try this one because I cut my own hair..but I thought what the heck…I’m so over point cutting my baby fine hair. It was a little awkward but wow..took my diy haircut to a new level. Perfect frame! Tysm!😮😍😘
Is there a reason a female you know wouldn't let you show you cutting their hair? A less busy background make focus more prominent.
You could have combed it all forward and twist all front and cut. Both sides would have been framed and even.
How about clients how part on the side. ?
Betty you can just cut it like this where ever their part is.
This is more of a diagonal back line, than a face frame. It’s too short in the mid area near the middle to bottom of the neck.
What if you have curly hairy, and straighten with a flat iron first, then will this look weird once it goes curly again? Can I try this myself, or is it only for professionals?

Just watching now, but thank you sir! It worked for me! No more 40$ haircuts 💇♀️
Thaaanks! I'm going to try it soon ! :D
Great concept. If you're a stylist and can't frame a face by now, well,,,, you might not want to be burning hair any more.
I can barely get my clients to sit back while cutting how the hell are the gonna contort their body when I put my hands so close to their eyes 😂🤣🤦♀️
Thank you good sir. I looked like the grudge everytime my hair was down
So GENIUS!
Awesome, thanks!
I wish he would’ve played around with it after it was done like moving it back or to each side to show us how it would fall any which way
I have a question. For diy do you do layers first then face frame ? Or face frame first then layers?
THIS is hands down the easiest and best tutorial. I just did it and it looks great.
