UMMMM? i literally am standing in the bathroom over all my freshly chopped off hair and i have genuinely never felt like such hot shit ??!!!! it feels SOO much better and lighter and yet a lot of the length is still there which is what i was concerned about. AND my hair is straightened so there’s more room for error but with spending a little extra time sectioning it all, it doesn’t look choppy whatsoever. i’m like blown away that this worked so well and was so simple, like it feels like my versions of things are usually the walmart kind or like “nailed it!” cakes but this shit WORKED!!!!

I'm trying to get brave enough to try this on myself. Paid lots at a salon when I asked for a wolf cut, and she said she would do it (I even showed her a photo and she said it would look great on me), but after she sliced 12 inches off my hair I walked out with a shoulder length Bob.😢 No wonder I hate going to hairdressers!

Last time I went to and hair dresser was 5 years ago. I asked for a wolf cut and she cut all the lenght. She wasn't able to cut the fringe. She cut it too short (at the half of my forehead.

Woo hoo! I had cut about 6” off about a week ago with the butterfly cut, and it was ok, but kinda flat and I wanted more layers. Followed your tutorial (why is parting your own hair so hard?!) and I love it. I cut another 2” off, and I wish my bottom was a little shorter, but I still love it. Lots of layers! The hidden ponytail in the back was what I really needed. My hair is fine, but thick, so that part really needed the additional layers. Thank you so much! ❤

This is the absolute PERFECT CUT for me!! Just did this on what my fave hair stylist and friend- may she RIP- referred to as my 'crazy a** head of hair' lol. Pretty sure she was already doing this cut on me without the ponytails for years. I could never get ANYONE to do my hair like she did. She just knew how to cut my hair. She could just feel it. I have been cutting my own hair now for years (off and on since she died), since I got tired of paying people butt loads of money to eff it up. I figured I couldn't do worse, and I was right. I finally got to something I could live with using 4 ponytails, but this! This is even better! I absolutely adore this! I have never gone to school for this, so I don't know any tricks, just basics. But that 'point cut' trick was a giant OMG for me!! It really brings out my waves. Thank you thank you!! I wish I could add pictures it looks so good! 😘

I didn’t make it too drastic since it’s always possible to cut off more when you don’t like it and I might trim a little more after I see how my curls deal with the cut after the next washday (iykyk). Im gonna have to wash my hair but ive fully ruined it 🥹 I'm back HAVE FAITH I cut it dry and greasy and it looked so bad. I've washed my hair and now it's dry it's brought out my natural curl pattern!! I'm so happy thank you for the video ❤ I already had a heavy full fringe so I did the secondary ponytail in sections taking side bits out with every cut gradually getting shorter and it helped blend it in amazingly! Thank you so much for this video 👌🙏

I love how easy this is and fast. I’m looking for a new look to freshen me up as a 55 year old. I have long hair. I love the bohemian style but what I have is just straight, one length throughout and long. So I’m going to try this. I think I’ll be really happy. Only thing I’m hesitant about is bangs in my face as I work. I’m a housekeeper and I don’t have time for hair falling in my face or tickling my nose.

I would have to have a lot of ponytails to get the layered look I had & never found again 😂. My hair is thick & heavy. My girl cut it short all around the face, top & crown. Then, pulled section by section from the bottom & cut. When she was done, soft perm. Hair was thinned out, fell perfectly. Long at the bottom, short around the face. Always diffused if I wanted a fuller version or wash & wear without diffusing, giving a more tight curl. OMG how I have missed this young woman who, in the 90's, knew my hair & how to deal with it. She moved away & no one I ever went to after could even understand what I told them she did. I eventually gave up. Sad

I did this and it worked out perfectly! finally got my hair like ive wanted to for the past 2 years! the only hard part was sectioning by myself on top of my head trying to get it straight xd but worked out in the end. highly recommend people to just do it if they want to! I didnt cut as much as in the video as my hair was longer and i wanted to keep a lot of my lenght. this ponytail way is very good and safe as you have a lot of control on how you want it and customize! I did curtain bangs from brad mondos video for the bangs. :)

I've always just played around and eyeballed my hair when I cut it. I never let someone else cut my hair. It always took me so long to finish each hair cut though because I didn't really have a specific technique or guide to it. I'm a visual artist so I just look, imagine, and snip! But I'm about to try this method because if it's really that easy to get the look I'm looking for, I could be saving a lot of time. Thanks for being awesome. You're very straight forward and you explain things so simply, it just makes it so much easier to follow along and understand, which makes it less scary when you go to make that first cut. I'm inspired. Thank you
