  • Hello everyone,
We bring you another awesome car interview for all of you. Jaguar has always been cool cars to me but this XJS is one of a kind. It has a Toyota 2jz swap and the car is a head turner. I absolutely love the stance, the engine, and overall execution of this Jag. I hope you all enjoy the story from Bryan and I hope Bryan continues to preserve this car. It was super fun to learn about a different car than our typical cars. Let me know how you all feel about this awesome Toyota Power 2jz! #automotiveanatomy

I promise I'm not trying to be that guy but they def didn't make only 230hp, the 5.3s made around 260-70 and the later year 6.0 v12s made 300 with 350 ft pounds of torque. Love the build man have a good one!

I live in the UK and work in the Automotive industry and I've had a many of all variant Jags. BUT THIS. I'm Jealous. Plus seeing a young lad loving the old car, keep it up.

man only thing i'd do differently is three pedals/manual swap. These are pretty agile cars in fact, even though they are GTs. They did sell some manuals originally so its not that unoriginal. They ditched the inboard brakes on later ones because they are a pain in the ass to maintain.
"Jaguars are a headache" *cracks knuckles* As a Jag owner, I can't disagree.

This looks perfect! I think you should leave it as is and get another if you want to try a more radical body kit.
This black one probably doesn't need a new fuel level sender, you probably just need to take out the instrument cluster to clean the connections and improve the grounding. I had this with my 1988 factory 6-cylinder XJS (not available in the US?) which has the same era of instrument cluster.
I tried aftermarket 17 x 7.5" wheels on my car but I didn't like the way they made the car drive. Be careful with the handling characteristics of this car at speed or in the wet. If you get another that's not already sorted, beware of worn bushes e.g. in the steering rack mounts which could make the car dangerous. =)

Canada 🇨🇦 here...wazzzzup dawgs! May I say...his dad knows cars...knows American product is limited and he's not boxed into one product, once you appreciate bodylines, it's natural progression to mix n match to personal taste...like a "Chef" ( French for person in charge)...dig it!

this thing is MEGA!!!!! outstanding. i grew up loving jags. xke's to xjs. i grew up with a twr xjs poster. i followed tom wakinshaw racing in all the races that aired on tv. there was no cable, it was a satilite dish. then you put a killer supra motor in and get rid of that tub of shit v12. this is truly a uncomman ultra unique build. there is no better thing to do with an xjs. fuckin' tip top mate!!! ACES!!! cheers

Why are you lying saying you grew up loving jags 😂. You sound terribly uneducated and make yourself look stupid when you follow that statement with saying jaguar's v12 was shit when in fact it is one of, if not the best v12's ever produced comparing from old to modern day v12's. It was an impeccable engine and car developed in jaguars time of bankruptcy yet beat everyone for years on the race track, even against sport cars from porsche and bmw. Jags V12 can make 700+whp/wtrq effortlessly, sounding way better, performing better, more simplistic, and for less $ than a 2jz build
