- On June 1, 2024, I went out on the ocean with one of my first known viewers, Ray Bly. Even though we've been friends for years, often sharing fishing info, this was the first time we met in person. We headed out of Newport Bay and spent the day off the Oregon Coast with non-stop fishing action.
ON PART 1, where we caught our limit of SEA BASS along with some smaller lingcod. THIS IS PART 2, where we try for our limit of LINGCOD, and even give you a view of the strikes on the bottom of the ocean using a GOFISH cam.

I love the camera, its so cool to watch. Ive seen them mounted on downriggers for salmon, but never before bottom fishing, for obvious reasons. Congrats on your first ling! Pretty nice ocean that day, although that gentle rise and fall can drop a lot of people. Awesome trip!
It was a fun trip! Next time we will set up the camera for Salmon trolling, that’s what I bought it for. I was sad to learn GoFish discontinued their business; so once this one is gone, it’s gone.

Sweet video, so much fun! I got out in the ocean myself 3 days ago! Pro tip, when u get hung up out there, move the boat above it and u can get most of them back! Just like we do salmon fishing.

That's what I meant I was pretty excited at the size, and the first thing that came to my head, little surprised at how small the lings were. next time:)
Any idea what the handle is on the gunnel behind him? He keeps moving it while trying to stay on the humps.
It’s the handle for the livescope transducer, he designed it himself if I remember correctly.
