The net caught on the hooks in the tower rod holder had me 😂. Seems to happen on our boat only when there’s a big fish on. Thanks for posting great Neah Bay content for those of us wishing we were out there. Neat seeing your boy and wife so dialed!
I had a problem blowing fuses on my Yamaha 70hp 2-stroke a few years back. It ended up being a pinched wire up in the remote throttle control, not in the engine at all. Your motor is much newer but thought I'd mention it because it did exactly what you're describing. Hope you find the problem. Love that you fish with your family. Great video.
@@fathersonoutdoors8049 Hey, I just enjoy your adventures up there every now and then. I like to see where you're at when I can make out land marks and try to recall the area. I'll be fishing out of Sekiu next week. We will be renting a van ripers boat, they do not have down riggers..any suggestions? We were thinking of using 6 ounce banana weights then flasher etc. thanks
@theillnessoutdoors2427 I range from 25 to 40 ft on the ball. The water I fish goes no deeper then 50 feet. When you fish that shallow you have to fish the incoming tide. You can get lucky on a low tide but the incoming is a lot better

I dig yallsfishing in Alaska. I fish down in Texas and catch lots of redfish ,that pound per pound would give a king a run for its money and I can’t for the life of me figure out why y’all use those gigantic deep mono nets. That just kills me.
@@fathersonoutdoors8049 I use ego nets , rubber net. To be honest I was kinda ( with my friends) the first to go rubber. When we get to fish real thick ( trout and reds ) the hooks and line always wrapped around the mono , costing us time. I went rubber with a decent depth. I see everyone in Alaska with these giant deep nets. Just don’t get that. Just wondering.
