I have always liked that the base rookies to /999 were always cool. You know there are ALOT more than 999 base rookie cards in every other set besides NT and stuff. They are undervalued in my opinion
I got one of these FOTLs in the dutch auction @ $260 as well. Mine was also missing all FOTL exclusives. Submitted a ticket to panini, not holding my breath.
Eh, I mean, is it "cheap quality" compared to like, regular Donruss (which is usually more expensive)? Luninance is ok, but also more expensive. Gold Standard? The sets that are close in price are basically all paper; I think Donruss Elite isn't bad for what it is. The Donruss Elite basketball international stuff is really nice this year - tons of really pretty parallels, & even the base cards look really nice.
I cannot stress enough how little people gave a fuck about football cards in 2017. You might as well compare it to the price of a used boat, that’s about as useful of a comparison that you made. Topps series was 40 bucks for a hobby box back then. It was a completely different world. You seriously think they would have sold prizm for 99 bucks back then if Mahomes rookies were doing release week prices like CJ and AR did in 23? Hell no lmao
@@maseripsWith the McPick 2 for $5 you could mix and match your fave classic items for only $5! Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, 10 pc Chicken McNuggets and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese... I hate McDonald's but still that was a thing
While I love watching breaks, we have to admit that breakers destroyed the hobby. They are driving prices to obscene levels and pricing most folks out. A fun hobby kids could do with their dad is now only for a select few. Pretty pathetic.
What's with all the hate of the Bears and CW? You're lucky that Saban edit made me laugh as hard as it did otherwise you were getting a thumbs down for the slander! 😂
@pewpewTN right, my point is individual card prices have skyrocketed. That's what drove up wax prices starting in 2020 and early 21. Opening sealed wax really wasn't a bad investment for awhile there. Now individual prices have come down for sure but that spike is the direct cause of box prices going out of control. So my point is it makes no sense to reference old box prices without making note of singles prices
I’d rather have a base rookie #’d to 999 than a normal base rookie out of most products with a print run of 10,000
Exactly 💯

Fashanu: in his Penn State jersey on the card
RGL: Was he a Husky?
😂
I absolutely love the fotl elite this year! I pulled a mystery rookie redemption #1 card #1 from one and a Malik nabers to /25
Never been a big fan of elite. Quality just seems cheap even factoring the $257 it’s still way to high for a entry level set

It’s crazy the amount of products that come out. I miss ripping 1991 Score for quarters.
Wouldnt base rookies /999 mean they are printed less than other sets?
2017 prizm hobby was $99. $257 is overpriced
Big Macs were 2 for 5 bucks in 2017
@@THEJMLEXPERIENCE no they weren't

Would love that Joe Flacco tidal wave.
not much love for elite from the hobby shame its pretty good this yr
Thanks for the rip RGL!
Fun rip! Elite, not the best quality but decent looking cards
6:17 "pretty much one of the lone bright spots on that Gaints team."
...
Seahawks went on to lose to that Giants without Malik Nabers
😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah yeah yeah. Awful L for us.
It was supposed to be a Turn Of The Century or Pen Pals Black Gold
Is there going to be XR this year?
I actually don't mind that the base rookie cards are numbered. Imagine how many base Prizm rookie cards are printed
Great video RGL!! Donruss Elite football is an okay product but it's hard to make your money back !!🎉
Every product is hard to make your money back.
Dude, I had this audio on while I was skimming through. Brock Purdy is playing his ass off. Andy Dalton is not. These takes! lol

Blame the people buying into breaks

They didn’t change the design at all from last year, really weird
$257 is about 3x overpriced.
Am I the only person that remembers say 2017 or so?
Remember 2017 individual card prices? You could get a Mahomes numbered auto from prizm for like $200
@JP-rg1yj No shit. In 2017 Mahomes wasn't even playing.

OOOH SOO Shiny ... Wonder if they could be as Solar Panels ...
Base reminds me of cheap topps tribute
Kind of a bummer on this one. Oh well, at least you got to open some cards.
Turn of the century black gold was your fotl
college unis on rookies is terrible, $257 is still overpriced.
Fashanu Thats Penn State My Brother
Man, I came in here for some stress free watching and caught a stray about FSU. You hate to see it.
Wym purdy looking normal
Over price for the one if the worst products Donruss Elite
its "oh dune ZAY" . sorry you got robbed on the auto
I’ve been a browns fan for 24 years, quit complaining about the Seahawks🙄
They gave you the wrong influencer box
Anti-influencer box!
@RunGoodLife it was probably supposed to ship out to Hitman
You didn’t get an FOTL box
Good video but that box was garbage
You know a lot about Rome except how to pronounce his last name.
Ehhh not really a fan of elite
junk product 100%
