People are expecting too much from small, city cars hence why they're slowly dying.
This for me tho, is a solid 10 for what it is. Gets you from point A to B in a fashionably fun manner with only the right amount of tech you need.

I will never know why cup holders get so much airtime in modern cars.

I love the little retro touches this car has, from the 4 cylinder engine to the 4 speed auto.... I just have a soft spot for this car. I might get this.

regarding the hard plastics, you have to cut costs somewhere to keep price down. Simple as that. Considering what kind of car this is and what its intended for then I give it a pass.

Kia should’ve kept the 1.0l 3 cylinder turbo engine. Otherwise the car is awesome

You dont need 99% of tech in cars today. Even this is way more then you need in terms of tech. This is the perfect city car

Everyone has different opinions, likes and dislikes. For me, I personally love this car. I've ordered one and can't wait to pick it up. I took it for a test drive, it fit our pram in the boot (standing) with room still for a couple of shopping bags. I put my daughters car seat in the back, with my hubby in front of her who is 190cm tall as well and he was comfortable and the back also fits our Mastiff x Great Dane. We're a family of 3 with a large dog and this car fit all of us just fine. For a cheap, new car and going from A to B, it's all we need and we love it. I'm not a petrol head, so as long as the car drives, I'm happy.

I owned the previous Picanto GT Line, but sold it and ordered this current version (6 months wait!). I wasn't happy with the 4 speed auto and was told in 2023 that there manuals no longer being imported - until the latest model came out miraculously now offered with manual option. I regret changing over to the new model as the only "updates" have been negative in my opinion. I think it looks uglier, the paint finish is terrible compared to my previous, the LED headlights are absolutely useless in the dark when it's raining (dangerous, in fact), the safety tech IS intrusive, so much so that I need to disable what is lets me before every drive, the digital readout is ugly with an absolutely useless lagging digital tacho (the old analogue gauges were fine) and also, the engine runs roughly at idle when the aircon is on - previously silky smooth and worked great (just had it's first service and told that's how they are now so it's normal). I know it's a cheap car, but disappointing that it's worse than the previous model. Edit: I forgot the best part, the "safety" lane assist garbage now means that the steering feels different, even when disabled. Hard to explain unless you compare them both as I have - but certainly less direct and less road "feedback".

I live in Germany. I can't wait until we get this facelift. I would get this with the automated manual. It's a shame they don't just put a 4 speed torque converter in it, but it still sounds like the classic 90s slushbox, which I love.
