Small cars like this are the future. I've downsized in car and class to a 21 plate picanto and love it. Super cheap to buy, run and insure. Still does all I need it to do. Evs are pointless. Prices are crazy and battery degradation it crazy and stupidly expensive to fix, charge network, and ethis is a joke too.
The UK should have encouraged small cars years ago - similar to the Japanese Kei cars.......Instead all we see are oversized SUVs.....which clog up towns & cities everywhere.
I’ve got the turbo engine - you can find gt line s models with this pre face lift for a couple of grand cheaper. Internally the only difference is it has analogue displays not digital. Heated seats, wireless car charger auto air con If you can find one of them it’ll still have a few years warranty left too. Seems like the better buy - especially if you do motorway runs
I’ve got the entry level version for a month now and I love it, I came from a 2006 Aygo and this is a big step up compared to that one. It feels good to drive and I love the look and features
I’ve just brought a 14 plate Volkswagen up, love the little cars as it is just me who uses the car and no one really goes in it with me. If I had the money to buy a new car, I would definitely go for one of these as I love the design and how compact it is and how much you get for your money is brilliant. Loving that pine green colour of the car too. Where I live, I don’t need anything with a lot of power as I mainly commute in my car, I don’t use motorways and my commute is mainly on residential roads with occasionally driving through country lanes. Most people my age (20) want powerful big branded cars like Audi and BMW, but I think of efficiency and try to keep my costs as low as possible and all cars are designed to do the same thing which is get you from a to b.
Great presentation of a fantastic little car again. But I prefer the AZURA BLUE. The GT Line S is the far better option, with far more tec and features included, and like you say, there are loads of green colour cars on the streets. Even BMW is doing that particular colour. They have done a fantastic job in the redesign. You come over so enthusiastic and full of energy on your videos. Makes a change. Most reviewers come over boring. But the way you do your videos is really entertaining. 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟 I didn't hear any sound faults at the end of your video.
It's great that Kia continues to build small cars. Definitely seems more complete than the old Toyota Argo, which itself was a good, solidly built city car.
I tink you make salient points about the Picanto though I might choose a Swift over this on a tier 1 discount £15k. The frot bumper while incorporating some current Kia design elements only a mother could love it, and why oh why no 1.0 turbo version.
Thank you for an excellent review. My turbo Kia Picanto GT Line S 1*25 MPi ,83 bhp, is a pleasure to drive. What small car would you recommend to replace it? I have subscribed but I would really appreciate your advice. Have you reviewed the car or cars you suggest?
Watched Richard Fanders review of the pre facelifted Picanto with the automated manual. He seemed impressed by it and for anyone looking for an automatic it be worth trying out.
@@peteg8920 it’s still really good value for money. I think you need to know how to drive one to appreciate it. It will never be as smooth as a dual clutch but then that’s why it’s more affordable
The comment about people buying suv's rather than small cars is to a degree that the manufacturer's realised that they can make more money. With pcp and pch it's all about whether purchasers can afford the monthly payment rather than the total car price.
If I was to buy one, I would stick with the previous model of the Picanto, which I think was nicer looking and offered more variations/performance, without so much unnecessary [and expensive] tech. included. Like so many manufacturers these days, in my opinion Kia have rather spoiled what was already possibly the best car of its type still on the market.
According to the Kia website, the width of the new Picanto is 1900mm; every year up to now it has been 1595mm. Is the newest model much wider or is it a typo mistake? I checked with our dealership and they said it is wider now.
It's a bit too easy to say, people are buying SUVs, so that's the result. The manufacturers offer more and more of them and cancel the alternatives, so you end up not having a choice. For example, while it is hard, it's possible to build a small EV, but most of them are SUVs. If you want an EV, you had to take an SUV.
Kia dropped the ball by removing the turbo and reducing the bhp from 99; the former model GT-Line S was brilliant fun to drive but the new Picanto is slow, dull and lifeless. It can look as pretty or aggressive as you like but if it's all show and no go then it's NOT FOR ME!
Fab review, it’s a shame so many manufacturers have moved away from these type of cars.

Thank you for the review 🙂. I agree, I drive a Mazda 2 (having driven lots of bigger cars) and I love how it is so nimble, light and agile.

Don't really need a new car at the moment, but when I do the Kia Picanto may be for me.

Have fun
That ‘umpf’ sound you make is making me buy the 1.2 litre for sure

Great review. Im going to check out more of your videos.

Having read your review on the Corsa I've got and the facelift model I've now ordered one

The Lia Picanto Is one of my favourite City Cars 😊
Brilliant kia picanto like very much thanks for awesome review 👍😊
Great review as always.
Great review. Nice little car for a great price. Much better than the Toyota Aygo which I've driven a few times.
I really enjoy vlog. Thank you

Great little town car. Not keen on that colour though. I think it would look very sporty in red. Good review Tish just a bleep in sound near the end.

Fun looking little car. The bumper is a tad too overbearing on the look of the front.
Love this video, missed the "hi guys I'm Tish....."
Great vídeo, "great car" !

Miss small cars! Hope Picanto and Fiat 500 continues.

Anyone know where I can buy a spare tire for this car please?
Just get this…🚙
Great review! But it isn’t a new generation it’s a facelift of the current generation

Fiesta for example; Ford pulled its availability in favour of the Puma; then said the Fiesta wasn't selling. I wonder why?
MG4 seems a pretty small EV
Where's the cat gone!? 😂
3:20 thats only picanto I can buy new here in europe wtf

Colour, there's no need to add way to the end. Colour will suffice.
Looks great but getting rid of the 1.0 litre turbo is ridiculous and pointless..
Its a no from me..
Pensioners will be happy...
More like your Lupo than your Up?
Ruined it with no turbo.! Gutless ! 0~60 in over 13 seconds …
Destroyed this small car by taking away the turbo version new nline it is
“Cheapest car” != cheap 🙄😢
Not electric, wast of tlime
You were doing so well until you used the word 'aggressive' to describe a bumper. Try harder.
zzz
Kia Picanto?
Oh yeah...SIMPLY THE BEST!
review feels like you are being paid by Kia..fawning..
