Saya dari indonesia... Saya suka dengan video ini ... Buat apa beli mahal2 kalo bisa buat sendiri... Kreatif.rajin.rapi dan terlihat elegan... Mantap mas brooo.
Hi Kirby I've watched this series a few times now. Big fan of your work!!! Long time user of winisd and tanks too you also vituixCAD. A lot of fooling around with the programs and eventually you made me buy those small woofers and tweeters ( I've used some other Dayton tweeters because they look better) But know, the speakers are almost finished, only paint and bass reflex tubes (the hole is there but no tube =p) Hooked them up too lay around filters (only the tweeters) woofers directly too the amp. My gosh,... The sound amazing already!! Huge base for such a small speaker. ( normally I listen my music on Philips conductor FB860 speakers with Marantz ma700 mono amps) Still fooling around with vituixcad for the end filter, lots of fun! Big thanks, keep up the good work! Ps: I know it's a bit more expensive butt I would love too see a similar series with bigger speakers like,. With double 8" woofers, mid and ribbon tweeter. Speakers 4ft high =D
I like your work very much. It ’s very relaxing to watch your video. I am also learning how to complete the work of passive radiation speakers. I hope you can continue to post your work videos.
I hate to be the guy nit picking little things but... I noticed you doing two things that could be done better. First thing was using the mitre gauge on your table saw with the fence. This can cause binding and kickbacks, especially if the pieces are wider. Why not cut them on the mitre saw, as they were quite narrow. The other way is to put a block on the fence in front of blade so that you run off the block before you cut but you still get the width stop. The second thing I saw that could be improved was the soldering. It is better to put the tip of the iron under the wire and apply the solder on the top. When you apply solder on the iron and let it run through down onto the wire, you end up with cold solder joints that could fail. Applying heat to opposite side of the wire helps the solder flow through the wire and creates a much stronger joint. Your videos are always excellent, keep up the good work.
Nice looking speakers probably my favorite so far. I like these style of videos too with the music. Could you put the music title in the description too? Also I like how you lay out the info section, very informative with the tools necessary to build, its professional looking. Could you do graphs after the build is done so we can see how they can perform? I was thinking this exact build and looking at speakers on parts express and came to a vifa tweeter and 2 tang band woofers. Keep up the good work
Really nice woodworking. Great video with relaxing music. Thank you for your efforts! That's all. Unfortunatelly in reality speaker building is more a science than an art of woodworking. In order to get a good sounding speakers you can't just mount any set drivers into any nice looking boxes.
Amazing work, Excellent craftsmanship, Good afternoon from the Philippines, I love your video tutorias it really helps me a lot about Audio systems, the only problem is the tools and materials only a little are available in the market, that's why whenever I watch your video I keep telling to myself I wish I was there in the states so I can order a custom made speaker for myself. I hope you could do a video of speaker built designed for home theater. God bless and thank you again for your wonderful videos.... inspiring
I have notice that you have chosen beautiful wood tones, gain and finishes. Please do a video on wood colors , stains and different wood combinations. Share links to lumber sources.
Thanks Kirby, the speaker looks great and I've learnt heaps in this series. Any chance you could show the finished crossover, just to get my head around how it went together after the design video. Cheers
Really clean build - they really remind me of some MISSION speakers from a few years back. Its shocking the price people will pay when building your own will save you so much money. if having access to an 'open workshop' was a thing then people might learn some new skills.
Your doing great. Almost 150k subs, and you still find time time to respond to viewers. The videos are beautifully captured and very Informative, plus your editing is top notch.
agree with that statement. im a hardcore price/performance "audiophile" mainly because of a background in sound and this channel really grabbed me. inspired to create something.
@@KirbyMeetsAudio - Need a sound demo, bro. Its like watching one's bride undress on his wedding night, only to hear say "maybe later". :) Well, maybe not quite at THAT level .
only problem is trying to find the correct router bit for the recess part of the hole, i would recommend to use a jasper jig, first do the recess portion, than the hole. I always use a test piece to make sure the recess portion is correct size and depth
Awesome video!! Although I am an avid amateur speaker designer, I'm just now discovering your work. Really inspirational!! I've noticed you don't list your finishing products. I understand if that is proprietary information, but if not, please do tell.
First of all amazing build, and second: why did you use 2 red and black terminals per speaker? And which crossover did you use and what was the total price of the components
It's funny I was just eying those drivers and was thinking of maybe using them in a 3 way or a center channel but I might just make a pair of those because I don't know how to figure out all crossovers and ports
Looking very nice. I wonder is that any reason using two sets of binding post behind? I thought one set binding post can cover those 3 way units. Also, I’d love to know the port location whether on the top or bottom. Thanks for the great video mate!
Congratulations on the work, what is the impedance of this box and admissible power. I live in Brazil and would like more information of this thank you.
Hi Kirby! From Germany I will like to do this awesome speakers, but I didn’t saw the plans in your webpage! How can I get them? Thanks for your answer! Amazing videos, speakers, design and job!
Kirby. Whats that mortise bit you have with the small guide wheel. can you share a link, that's what i have been looking for, awesome. love the vid dude as always. x
Do you have the crossover components listed anywhere? I watched the crossover design video but couldn't tell if you we're happy with what you had designed yet, and seemed like you might not pick those components
thanks for this video, my 5 year old daughter is autistic and uses this video to relax, she likes to see you work
it's the best comment i'v ever heard
❤
What a beautiful bi product to entertainment..... this video relaxes me also.

Kirby Meets Audio what is the wattage of single tower
RMS is around 40 watts
I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised you didn't do a MTM setup. Interested to see how they test out. Good work.
I was going to ask the same thing.

Mantap mas brooo.
A Video on painting MDF would be great, you paint finish is amazing . Love the Vid.
A foam roller will give great results if you aren't familiar with a sprayer.
I just built the exact same speakers by accident! Love them so much. With a crossover (2 kHz) but without a port
Im loving the videos, but I would like to hear hows the speakers play or maybe take some sound measurements?
Good video, a great build and very nice music in background. Thank you.
BY far the most amazing speaker build video on youtube
Thank you Shivansh!
your build videos are satisfying to watch
Reminds me of the Tannoy Mercury M series. Job well done. Bet they sound as great as they look!
Nice job! Hope your arm gets better. Cool video
these look excellent. got yourself a new subscriber.

Amazingly done! I loved the soundtrack too!
You are really a reference for us all. You're doing a great job.

Yep! Next video in the design series will be measuring these guys and making crossover adjustments. Thanks for watching!
Kirby Meets Audio right on
I would have been perfectly content watching this for a half hour. Very well produced, the speaker and video.
Te felicito, te quedó bien

This wood be a perfect little T- Line system.
Like Dayton Audio's twin small T'
- -line speakers.
I really dig that music edit with the horror slasher sounds right before the first cut. Cool beans bro!
Very nice i like tham. As i am cabinet maker i might try my hand at makeing some speakers
Super quality👍👍👍👍

Very good work. Just one question?? What did you break? I noticed your arm-cast.

No grille for protection?
Wow man really beautifully done. Thanks
A sound demo would be really nice!
Do you make custom cabinets for customers? I want a couple of birch PA cabinets.
wow, so easy work !
only problem is trying to find the correct router bit for the recess part of the hole, i would recommend to use a jasper jig, first do the recess portion, than the hole. I always use a test piece to make sure the recess portion is correct size and depth
Beautiful build! Are these the speakers you talked about in your 2 recent reviews? Love your video's, keep em up!!

You should have sealed all sides of that wood. It could crack and warp. Also use some joints next time. Just gluing MDF like that won't last.
I have done many speakers with butt joints with no problem. Of course you milage may vary.
Awesome video!! Although I am an avid amateur speaker designer, I'm just now discovering your work. Really inspirational!! I've noticed you don't list your finishing products. I understand if that is proprietary information, but if not, please do tell.
Just caught your video I saw below someone asked already about showing your crossover . Like the build though .
Nice to see it all come together after this great series of vids. Well done, they look great.
Excellent video, thanks!
As soon as I have the cash and it is available I am planning to buy one
It felt good and calming watching you make this video, curious about your arm dough
Stay outta bar fights lol . Keep these gorgeous builds coming. Get well bro
That's some sleek design mate, and really great craftsmanship. Keep it up.

Bro u deserve a sub

Hi, Kirby. I'm a fans from China and fond of your amazing speaker design. Can I make my own one and upload a video to a Chinese video website?
Congratulations on the work, what is the impedance of this box and admissible power. I live in Brazil and would like more information of this thank you.
Мне б такую мастерскую тоже творил бы чудеса)
a clean and nice looking build .....bro ....its funny that no mater what someone always has to voice an neg ....lol
So true! Thanks for watching!
Awesome ! I am admiring of your work 😍
What’s the pilot hole marker you use called? Just punches a little pilot hole. Pretty cool
Would be great if you tested them for frequency response too.
these are sick!.. i just need them with Atmos drivers
Hi Kirby! From Germany I will like to do this awesome speakers, but I didn’t saw the plans in your webpage! How can I get them? Thanks for your answer! Amazing videos, speakers, design and job!
I would really love to build a set of these. Any idea when they will be available as a kit?
It would have been great to hear and how it sounds :)
How is your hand?
Good finishing
It's good! The cast comes off next week. Thanks for watching!
I really would like to see you build some tall, floor standing speakers that can handle serious power.
ola sou do brasil e seu trabalho e excepcional quanto custa duas caixas?
Kirby. Whats that mortise bit you have with the small guide wheel. can you share a link, that's what i have been looking for, awesome. love the vid dude as always. x
I think this is a rabbit ting bit
Hermosos!
Do you have the crossover components listed anywhere? I watched the crossover design video but couldn't tell if you we're happy with what you had designed yet, and seemed like you might not pick those components
Nicely done, Love the recessed speaker installation very clean.
What was the idea behind the tinyest piece of wood between the two larger speakers and the large gap at the bottom?
nice one
When does the kit come out...?!!! Or plans? Reeeeally want a pair of these goodies.
Awesome speaker build
Thank you Conroy!
Lindas as caixas, parabéns pelo projeto.
, I would have put some 45 degree bracing in all the corners, Brad nailed it, and caulked the inside of all seams. also try using some POLYFILL.
I can only imagine how much better these might be with some preposterous speakers like the Foster sigma series speakers. Those things are ridiculous.
