I worked in a body shop (painters helper). Let me tell you. You put WAY more effort then what these body man that do this for a living lol. Love the content and keep up the excellent videos
Sorry to hear that. I need a shop for her to roam. My house is too close to a busy street and I worry if she takes off. She will be a regular at a new shop, you can count on that!
I’d like to see a video of bloopers. Just the one at beginning was enough to make me chuckle. PS Have you been to doctor? Must be something wrong if YOU are cleaning! 🤣
Nice job Scott. I agree with the comment about white vehicles. I've had a few over the years & they are a SOB to keep clean looking. Big improvement with the wheels & tires & a good price. The only thing I have left on my bingo card is a sharp or new razor blade so you can do yourself an injury. You & the Pizza Girl have a great New Years. See you then.
I'm not sure if the 14 is the same as the 19, but the one I drove the cup holder rubber part comes out and can be washed in the sink. I miss that 19 2500hd. It's one of the best trucks I ever drove.
Sitting here drinking my tea, yes I’m from Ireland and I can smell the air filter from here it’s a wonder that air got anywhere 😊I suppose if the mechanic job doesn’t work out you could become a plastic surgeon 😊, nice job Scott
For the door handles I use the pick method myself, I had a guy show me his method of using fishing line but by then I had used the pick method so much it is just faster for me to use the pick.
Scott, dont know if the detail Gnome or you have ever done this but heres a tip. When I deep detail a vehicle I pop off all plastics I can including console pieces like cup holders and even AC vents. I then stick them in the dish washer and do a heavy load cycle. They come out perfect most of the time. And never have had one melt on me. It saves me a lot of time hand scrubbing.
When cutting wires, clamp a sawsall blade into vise grips, make sure the little tab is against the inside of the jaw so the blade does not rotate. This way you are pulling towards your self when cutting.
Nice truck, the wheels are much better. It’s incredible what good tires can do to improve noise, and handling on pickup trucks. Lots of good detailing tips in this video!
Super video Scott! I really enjoyed this plus the console stew. Maybe someday they’ll make non-stick consoles. This is going to make some lucky individual very happy. New engine, all the damage fixed, interior looking great. See you in the next one! 😊
Love the channel, found you about two months ago, reviewing all your old videos, great sense of humor, I know the struggle, lived in Michigan years ago but enjoying Colorado now.
Scott!!!!! ….but, but, you didn’t even vacuum the carpet right!!!!! You were supposed to take the seats out, and remove the plastic carpet sills!!!! 😂 Just kidding Sir!!!!!! I hope you had, and are having a wonderful Christmas holiday season. 🎄 ….Love your work!!!
Holy poop! You live a few minutes north of me. Don’t worry, I won’t say where or give any hints. I’ve been watching your videos for a while and all of a sudden I recognized the trailer park across from you. And now I’m realizing I saw the envoy for sale online locally and didn’t put 2 and 2 together, I didn’t think it was the same one.
If you go to the car shows in the summer north or south of you I’m the guy with the black/tan Lincoln with the bull horns in place of the hood ornament.
My address is listed on my website, it is no secret anymore. My new shop will be! My storage yard location will soon be released as well. The internet knows what doesn't matter to me. Big changes coming to my old house in 2025!
@@vehcor gotcha, I didn’t want to put your location out there if it was a secret. The internet is full of odd people, myself included. Myself, I live in downtown Lockport, grew up on the lemont/homer border. I was surprised to find a RUclipsr so close.
Aaawww man I thought another canned ham video.. ill settle for a Bowtie beauty. Scott i will say. You take a great amount of elbow grease on all that touches your hands. Great Job. Hope your Christmas was good. Stay safe and be well. Thanks for sharing.. woo hoo year 5 I've been watching
Great job! Yeah, in Florida, you gotta lift... And you gotta go a lot bigger on wheels & tires... It does seem to be a state law..... Great deal on the wheels, holy crap.....
I want step by step panel or door swap. Mainly to show the paint around the mounting holes. Te panels I bought are painted but not around the mounting holes. This is likely because the parts are installed before paint.
Love how you had to look at the truck again after calling it a GMC and almost did it again.😂 Then cleaning a remove able cup holder! Cleaning is zen. I'm not much of a truck guy but lately wouldnt mind one like this. Looks good.. The new rims helped. You can always use a truck.
6:42 not an attacker from comments i want to learn. does the lift side of the air filter that you removed the dirty filter from gets dirty? or all the dirt comes out with the filter and does not stick with the air filter
Those wheels look good on that. Wicked deal too. When you clean the cupholders you can remove that rubber completely and bring it to a sink. Dont know if you knew or not.
My Santa Fe used to vary by about 1 MPH between the dash speedometer and the GPS speed, consistently. Had to get new tires and found out that the next trim line up in my model year came with different sized tires, about 1 inch larger diameter on the same wheels.it raises the car by about 1/2 inch. Now my dash and GPS speed matches. My average MPG is down a slight bit, probably because of the tire compound but also because of the distance travelled calculation per tire revolution. The rev counter is on the transmission, but the tire size assumption is hard coded into the mileage and distance travelled computation. Wierd little bit of learning, so I thought I would share.
Scott - I'm sure you know this, but for everyone else ... that center console piece you were cleaning comes out. Easier to clean the rubber part by itself and you can get the crud out of the plastic cup area (normally under the rubber part when installed) which inevitably seeps down past the slots in the bottom.
Hope you had a good Christmas Scott, surprisingly my SEAT’s cup holders and cubbys have removable rubber mats, even the key fob holder has one too… Used to detail cars over 30 years ago, and often found plenty of ‘lunch tokens’ in cars and vans I detailled
I like many others could say even the truck was to dirty even for you to drive around and pick up other projects, personly though i would drop the truck even lower to the ground and only have 5 inches or 125mm of clearance between the step and the ground

The rubber cup holders in the center console just come out for easy cleaning

From the way you rapped the whisk, I mean acid brush on the side of the pot, I mean console, I can tell you have some cooking skills 🔪😂
Unfathomable bonus content...worth the years-long wait to see these unprecedented acts. I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen them myself.

I love watching your videos. I have two questions.
1. What does VEHCOR stand for?
2. Have you found a new permanent shop to work out of yet?
My Santa Fe used to vary by about 1 MPH between the dash speedometer and the GPS speed, consistently. Had to get new tires and found out that the next trim line up in my model year came with different sized tires, about 1 inch larger diameter on the same wheels.it raises the car by about 1/2 inch. FYI, the next time, use some windex or slightly soapy water sprayed onto the moulding and it helps the squeegee to slide and break the glue free.
Happy New Year : I Come from Hong kong❤🎉
