I am lucky to live on the Oregon Coast and get to explore beaches that are less known with my camera. My favorite is when I come back soaking wet from a dramatic storm without drowning the camera. Rachael would love it!
Thank you so much for introducing me to Rachael through this content. I found her work inspiring and, more so, her passion for the coast. Living in Orkney, I am blessed with some beautiful coastal scenery, but having visited the Oregon coast this year, I was blown away by the incredible landscape/seascape.
Thank you for posting this series. It's really nice to have access to some videos of photographers talking about their experiences and their work, amongst the flood of equipment promos and beginner-focused "how-to" videos.
There are only a few people I could listen talk about their photography all day and one of them is Rachael. Thanks for sharing Simon. This is a great series.
Such a pleasing story from a lady whose work I have always admired. I am a tree lover and it was her image of a bowing tree beside a canal that made me first notice her abilities. Two stunning compositions shown here and I now bow to her wonderful skills.
Love Rachaels work. Nice to hear her talk about it. Now I just want to get out there down to a stormy coast! Not many Bald Eagles in North East England though!
Beautiful images, and I am a big fan of seeing faces in rocks. If she can go to the Oregon coast every year, why the hell can't I? I'm much, much closer. Gotta get out more. Thanks, Simon!
A big fan of Rachel’s work! Two more beautiful images from this absolutely talented and wonderful photographer. Thank you Simon for giving us the opportunity.
Rachael does a great job with her interviews/story telling. I love how she always stays so true to herself and her style. The ocean is such an interesting subject to focus on for years
This series of 'photographers stories' has been really enjoyable so far....thank you Simon for your insights and in particular your generosity in profiling other people's work. We appear to be living in a society where more and more people are caught up with their own image and ego so your approach is refreshing and very welcome.
Simon and Rachael loved it! The photograph choice was inspired Rachael, beautiful monochromes. This story was a little bit personal having being a client on the 2018 workshop in Torridon with Simon and Rachael, and I can honestly say it was the dream team. If anybody is thinking about attending workshops with either of these photographers you will not be disappointed, two of the most talented landscape togs out there.
I completely resonate with the pressure to get a shot when visiting a location for the first time and possibly only time. A headless chicken sums up the situation nicely for me. Love Rachel’s work, and great job Simon for setting up this series 👍
Many thanks! I used to be like that too and sometimes it's ok if you can work quickly and be effective. Takes a bit of practice but it can be pretty cool to have that adrenaline and still get the result :)
Thanks for this Simon. Living on the west coast of Canada, I often pop onto Rachael's website and absorb her amazing work before I go out shooting-so inspiring. She's one of my all time photography heroes. Oh, and you're not so bad yourself!
One can always feel the story in Rachael’s images, such is the expressive quality of her work; always stunning! A more than worthy addition to this series, Simon, it wouldn’t have been the same without her in it 👍🏻
I'm really enjoying these Simon. I discovered Rachel recently and am the better for it. Lovely images with wonderful stories to accompany them. Cheers from the States.
That’s a beautiful series. Inspiring and interesting to hear other photographers thoughts about photographing these beautiful images. Please continue this series even after Corona 👍🏻😊
I live North of the Oregon beaches here in Forks, Wa. Our beaches are just as gorgeous but they are harder to get to. Most of them take a hike of a mile or two to get into. Oregon is nice for the easy access.
I'm absolutely loving this story series; this was a great idea on your part. I think this has been my favourite story so far though. Would it be too rude to ask what Rachael has done to her arm or shoulder?
Ahh bless you, I hope it heals well and you get your full joint mobility back as soon as it physically possible. Take care and thank you for your reply.

This is the kind of content RUclips should promote.

You're on the right channel if you like trees ;-)
@@SimonBaxterPhotography I have also admired your work and very good vlogs for some time :-)

Excellent again Simon, Rachael! I thought Rachael was going to tell us a story about her arm and how she injured it making some epic image, lol.
Adam Gibbs Hmmm. I need to learn to accept that I’m now too old for base jumping?
The first one is astoundingly beautiful. One of a Kind. It doesn't need any explanation. Great Series Simon, Keep it going

Really nice video, and some beautiful and hitting stories. Thanks for sharing these and I hope more is coming. Stay safe both of you
Absolutely loving the series and hearing the stories behind the photographs!
My favorite part of the world! And in a month or so will be moving within an hour of the Oregon coast. Beautiful work, Bravo!
jess lantz I’m jealous now!
Really good advice not to let the pressure for a portfolio get the better of you when out on a trip or workshop. Priority is the experience.
Wonderful image of the black and white rock in Oregon.
Great. I love her pictures, and the person she is.

I really enjoy Rachel's images, but the telling of the stories adds much more to them. Thanks!
This is the first of the series that I've seen. I very much enjoyed it. Now I'll have to go find more of them! 🙂

What’s not to love, Simon and Rachel in one video, great
Simon, thanks for doing this series. I find your comments as a photographic artist to be highly insightful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Lovely video mate. I'm enjoying this series. Stunning images as always Rachael, especially that first one for me! Wow.
Cheers, sugarplum!
Brilliant... both Rachael's sharing and Simon's amplification of some vital sensibilities. Thank you. Loved it. Looking forward to more.
Much appreciated, Jim! Thank you.
First rate video. It’s good to see how a talented photographer who is known for her inspiring seascapes approaches slightly different subjects.
Rachael's images always provoke the imagination, sometimes in a most spiritual way. Rock on!
Loving this series. But my favourite so far is Rachael Talibart. Her work is so wonderfully expressive. Thank you!
Another great story, especially love the first image!
An awesome series! Love the storIes

Christopher Harris Thank you, Christopher. I have broken my shoulder!

👍👍👍
I don’t think you saw the faces in the rock as much as you sensed them.
No, no,no, not "Bald Headed Eagles" just "Bald Eagles". They are a national symbol, not a bird with a receding hair line. Great images!
Haha, I realised what I'd said when it was too late 😁
I didn't catch that. Thanks for pointing it out and giving me a good laugh! 😄
fregeolle1 I didn’t get it wrong. Just saying ;)
