I teach using just one of many accents in the world. Please only learn it if you like it and if you are interested in learning it. I do not believe there is one “correct” accent or manner of pronunciation and I fully encourage EFL/ESL learners to expose themselves to as many varieties of English around the world to become accustomed to the beautiful variations of this world language. I focus mostly on teaching “Modern RP” (I may just say “RP” in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean “Modern RP”), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Please LOVE and BE PROUD of your accent. After all, it is part of your identity and makes you unique. 💚

Thanks for making family-friendly stuff. Many people do the opposite🙏🏻
I love your voice so much
6:30 For me, I do not consider the word offensive because I respect myself as a female and I find it misogynistic to consider it as the worst word in the language. What is offensive is to consider it an offensive.
Nice perspective! But I don't think native speakers will see it that way 🤣
Hi Thank you ❤

Wow, thank you for this. It reminds me of a weekend in my workplace for volunteers and there was a gentleman from Spain or thereabouts and he mispronounced the word sheet.
Mind you whenever I told my friends they laughed their heads off and I can understand why.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hi Emma,
I think all the words I mispronounce because of my Indian (Hindi) accent. Haha! 😅
But after this, I don't have to. Thanks for this video😊
Love from India 🇮🇳

Aakash
Honestly, I don't even know some bad words like for can't Pianist, peanuts (I got a half hint from peanut 🥜 but not completely)

Hello ma'am,
Would you please make me some videos on name of people and last names. Sometimes it's really very hard to pronounce perfectly. They might be English, French or any other name but very difficult to pronounce.
Thank you very much.
There are millions of names! Where would I start? 😄

As I don't know the bad word mispronounced for can't, I'd say the worst can be Coke, like the story you mentioned. Great lesson. One word I have to be careful when I say it is "beach", it's really a tricky one.
I'll keep you innocent, Helen! 😅 But if shortened, 'can't' can sound like a very vulgar term used for a vagina (which is also used as an insult).
It sounds something like aunt. 😝
Not quite! That's the different vowel! It's more like "hunt" with a C instead of an H 🤣
@@Pronunciationwithemma😂😂😂
Haha
You are right 👍
@@Pronunciationwithemma😂😂😂😂😂, you are right
Will you take classes
Hi Emma!
Thank you very much! Your lessons are useful for learners of British English. I agree with you that the word "can't" is definitely the most dangerous to mispronounce.
I also remember you told the story about a Spanish teacher who would say "fuck yous" instead of "focus", and you couldn't correct her because she was a teacher)🤣
So we ought to be careful when speaking a foreign language)
Yeahhhhh!!! I was actually going to tell this story but I knew people would get triggered and think I was mocking her (which is absolutely the polar opposite of what I was doing! 😅)
@@Pronunciationwithemmaplease tell the story, I'm eager to listen 😅

Hi ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Emma, like I've already told you before, your beautiful British accent tastes like honey.
The words "hall" and "whore" are also quite tricky for me to get them right.
Omg that's another good one!! Horse and whores are also commonly confused. I need to do a part 2
My kind girl ❤❤❤❤.
