I teach using just one of many accents in the world. Please only learn it if you like it and if you are interested in learning it. I do not believe there is one “correct” accent or manner of pronunciation and I fully encourage EFL/ESL learners to expose themselves to as many varieties of English around the world to become accustomed to the beautiful variations of this world language. I focus mostly on teaching “Modern RP” (I may just say “RP” in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean “Modern RP”), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Please LOVE and BE PROUD of your accent. After all, it is part of your identity and makes you unique. 💚

There IS no British accent!
There are English, Scottish, Welsh, and Irish accents!.
Within those accents, are local dialects: e.g. I was born and raised in Plymouth ... in St Budeaux; which is where the Tamar bridges cross, from Devon into Cornwall ... hence, my accent is English, but my dialect is Devonian; sub-dialect, Plymothian.
Im an Indonesia, here, we have to keep learning our own language, simultaneously, as an english teacher, I have to also keep strengtening my English. Your both simple and easy understanding explanation really help me relearn and repractice my English skills. Im so much grateful for your masterpiece that many people all over the world have been enjoying it much.🙏
You’re amazing! The way you teach and the mood explaining things are great! Lot of information in just one video! Thanks a lot!
I am from india and very appropriate your video
I fell in love with style of teaching. It's probably the first online lesson that I have listened to heart and soul. You are just great.❤
Hi, Emma! Loved your video ! 🥰 I am an American, however I have been self analyzing my speech, how I speak, words I am using or not using, AND how I sound. Of course, who doesn’t love the British accent!?! I have always admired it because it simply sounds most proper, elegant (for English), smart and classy. Perhaps, I can make a smooth and slight transition to sounding British 😄- I’m serious!! I hear all the accents here in America and I sometimes cringe 😬 because it sounds just awful. I’m SO GLAD to have come across your channel! Thank you 😊 for all the wonderful tips and thorough lesson! 🥰
Hi, Emma!! thanks for the remarkably amazing lesson. 🥰 I loved the lesson and your efforts for the video lesson!!💙

There IS no British accent - unless one is referring to RP!
There is English, Scottish, Welsh, and Irish (N).
Within those accents, are local dialects.
So, I was born and raised in St Budeaux (in Plymouth), which is where the road and rail bridges cross the Tamar.
Hence, my accent is English; but my dialect is West Country - Devonian, to be precise!
I love this video! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into it! Cheers from a Brazilian who's now living in an English speaking country.
