I lived about 11 years in England and I learned a lot but I never spoke some of these words like you are teaching now. If you do not study the phonetic you don't improve your pronunciation.Study is very important.Thank you Emma.
Your new video is easily digestible and practical to understand. If I'm not mistaken, in some parts of the UK, especially in Oxford and Oxfordshire, they pronounce the letter 'S' in words like 'strange' as 'ish,' which is not a phonetical nuance, but just an accent variation. Thank you so much for the insightful content.
TRAINING your pronunciation with Emma . Come on ! Let's TRY again when we make any mistakes. You can't sound STRANGE if you folllow Emma's tips. Thank you so much. May God bless you
You're always my favourite pronunciation teacher. I like your classes very much because every time I learn some new pronunciation techniques from you. 🙂
Also.../n/ + /j/ = [ɲ] ('Can you?'), in which we can hear a speech sound just like ñ in Spanish as in 'la niña'. In one word, I also heard the same speech sound: 'Grand Canyon'. This is also assimilation, I think. In Standard Indonesian, we find this speech sound very often (e.g. 'banyak', 'bertanya', etc.). We are experts in pronouncing this speech sound since we can say it in initial position as in 'nyamuk' (=mosquito), 'nyali' (=guts), etc. We also have 'ng' in Standard Indonesian. However, this famous speech sound can be found in English, too.
Really a good pronunciation lesson of you Emma. I love learning pronunciation from you and your every PDF is helpful to me Emma. Thank you for your kindness. God bless you teacher
Oh Emma, you are beaming, probably because of good pronunciation. In any case; I kept from this lesson the words train; travel and concluded you may travel by train probably touristic trip to Turckey or Italia.I wish you this kind of adventure.
Happy teacher's day ma'am! It's been a long time since you came up with any of the pronunciation video ma'am, i hope that everything is hunky-dory over there.
@@Pronunciationwithemma what about words like Android and Chemistry.Also...i might be wrong but sometimes it feels like words like "Secondary" are pronounced with the "j" sound.Does it actually happen or is my ear faulty🤣.Love your videos by the way ,I am actually going to USA for my UG and nailed all my interviews.
TODAY, THE BEST THINGH THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME IS THAT I FOUNDED YOUR CHANNEL🥰...................I HAVE ALSO DOWNLOADED YOUR FREE PDF AND WILL START MY JOURNEY WITH YOU....AND YEAH THAT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE VEDIO 😺 TRIIOP DRIOP STRIOP😂😂

Super useful as always Emma ❤
Emma, can these tricks be used in middle of words? Like strange, straight etc etc ..
What you have listed there are still at the start of words. :)
@@Pronunciationwithemma that's true yes....so what about when they are literally in the middle of words?
These rules still apply too. For example "education" sounds like "e-juu-kei-shn".
