If Lauren did a hills rewatch, it would be very different. I respect her wanting to leave it how it was and moving on.
I never watched nor listened to it, but thank you for the recap. Just goes to show that they have no careers other than talking about LC, especially Heidi. I sound like an LC stan which I’m not but I can’t stand when people have no reflection on how far they’ve come, if they have matured, that is.
I saw 2 episodes of the Hills rewatch..the last was about Jen kissing Brody and yup..its all about how much can we blame it on LC. Even Heidi tried putting words in Jens mouth when Jen last saw LC at a yoga class (I think). Heidi has definitely not let any of it go but still hopes her and LC can be friends again...makes no sense.
I love these 2 together!! They are a blast and they have these natural chemistry that makes listening to them fun. They really should continue doing a podcast together
I hope and pray that y’all will do season 3, because some of the OG cast mates will be in it! (Grabbing at straws here. Lol!)
You can have those other cast members on as well- maybe share their experiences…

I have rewatched Laguna Beach mullllltiple times, i even had the dvd's back in the day... Stephen still points out things i never even noticed. Empty drink carrier? Too funny!
The way that you guys are able to both break down the episodes and think back to whether or not it was real and also taking ownership of shitty behavior is HUGE reflection of how you both are as good humans. Love this.

I thought there was something quite moving about Jason and Jessica's "final" conversation, especially when she said "good luck with life", I think we can all relate to that feeling of knowing once school is over, the majority of people you're never going to see again
I hope they bring Lauren back for a Season 2 recap, like they did for Season 1. I love their group dynamic.

I’m on kristen side when it comes to jason’s apology! Also as an audience member who was a freshman in high school at the time it aired, it was refreshing & empowering to see Lauren stick up for herself! It made her more mature & a great role model for young teens. If we saw her take jason back so easily, it would’ve been disappointing
It woulda been cringe if Lauren forgave him so easily. Not gonna lie I did not like her and Jason together on the hills either but the heart wants what the heart wants and that part I completely understand.
I think everyone will agree with me that we’d absolutely LOVE (& be very grateful if) you both to continue this podcast together! Whether that be Season 3 of Laguna, Very Cavallari or other reality shows. Your chemistry is unmatched and we’re all enjoying these episodes way too much for them to end!
I love this great episode, and it was super clear MTV orchestrated Kristin going to Lauren’s. Kristin not speaking to Lauren, came from being positioned in a situation that felt unauthentic. I also felt for Jason, cause you can tell he didn’t know how to get in touch with his feelings or communicate effectively (he was a teenager, who did?). I love love love this podcast, it’s literally a dream! I hope they can continue it!

The scene of Kristen driving to Lauren’s house was the epicenter tone of my teenage years and lowkey freaking out lol

I really wish Lauren would join you guys and do a behind scenes on The Hills. A lot of us want to know the back stories of what we didn't see behind the scenes. Like when Kristin and Brody introduced Heidi and Spencer in the club. Or when Kristin and Lauren partied at Doug's house with Stephen and played dress up.

You were much more mature by the end of season 2...you were NOT too harsh on Jessica...real true friends can give hard realities...and thats what you did...season two allowed us to see what a good friend you actually were...you're the "tough love" friend with the big heart.
Season 3 would be hilarious solely because the new "it" girls tried to be K SOOO hard. Even repeating some iconic lines that never landed lolll

Stephen’s comments are often long winded. But in this episode especially, he seems to talk for long periods where he says the same thing in different words or he just repeats what Kristin has said. Kristin’s great
What they forgot to address is Stephen's constant patting on the head! He did that to both Lauren and Kristin all the time! More so with Lauren and it was definitely a friend zone thing
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this podcast! We just don't need Stephen scolding / critiquing Kristin's past actions or behaviour. This girl has done a hell of a lot of self-reflection and work, she's mature and confident enough to say if she felt like she "F'd up", there's no need for anyone else to say it.
So sad dont want this podcast to end 😢

What separates Laguna and the Hills is that before the show, Laguna wasn't fake, it wasn't staged, it wasn't desperation for fame. Genuine friends, good, kind, friendly, caring individuals who over these years actually grew up, matured, took accountability, owned their errors, learned from their mistakes, are successful, accomplished and champion each other, cheer for each other. Kudos to both of you, the viewers past and present are constantly cheering you and the entire first 2 seasons casts of Laguna on and always will!
Stephen has a real beef with MTV. He faults them for everything he doesn't like.😅
I have a feeling they are gonna end the podcast with interviewing Adam Devillo. I doubt they would bring lauren back on the talk about season 2. Adam was a big creator of the show

I love this podcast!! ❤ been listening since u started it. I love how you guys really dig deep into each episode and own up to mistakes and are just so real and genuine. I been also watching the hills rewatch podcast and i love all of them but im taken back about how they dont really own up to things and they get off subject about the episode alot..
These two were always me and my friends favorites on the show. They were hilarious. Who else wants Stephen and Kristin to keep this podcast going with another theme. They are so much fun and it's cool to see them good friends as adults. I love it!

😂 I didn’t know until a few years ago and I was wait whaaaat?!?! I saw it wasn’t that great lol I only committed to watching it a year into Covid (before Whitney did it in her channel and was super excited to see once I saw Whitney was going to do it because they’re hilarious!!!!😂😂) because I saw a few of the OG come back and LC’s sister is in it too but she shows up more towards the middle/end she isn’t really too much in it.
There’s also a spin off Newport harbor. Which was better the LB season 3 but still not great but entertaining enough.
Please do The Hills! Even if it’s just your part of it 😮
I swear I hear Lauren say: "Hi neighbour" as Kristin & Alex walk down the garden steps into her party & Kristin turns away from the table. They were neighbours at this point too! Also, I wonder who Kristin was referring to re the guy she can't break away from over the last 2 years??? Is it that young guy she did a photoshoot with? Or Stephen?

Part of the awkwardness with Lauren and Kristen would be that they were in different grades, right? In high school age feels like a bigger deal. Like when you're a freshman the seniors feel like a generation away. Lol. One year isn't that big of a thing...but still. While Kristen was ending high school, Lauren had a year away living on her own in college. Also Stephen was Lauren's grade...so they'd been friends and probably had classes and teams and whatnot together all those years. Anyways not super surprised she might feel nervous about saying hello or goodbye to Lauren at her party. Remember those nerves being pretty standard at that age.
Yes you hit it right on the head. The reason why Lauren always looked more mature was bc she technically was & Kristen has said she always felt insecure when she was at that age so I can only assume that Lauren being older was another insecure she had towards her. I know I always felt that way whenever I would be around senior girls as a Junior.
I couldn’t agree more! Lauren’s energy always gave me a Cersei kind of vibe. Ice Queen w/ a frozen heart bc she gave it away too much to the wrong ppl. She got colder during The Hills bc ppl like Heidi, Jen Bunny, Audrina were only using her for fame in LA. It’s sad but she is now way more warmer & happier now in Laguna ❤

Unpopular opinion: I actually enjoyed season 3! Definitely has nothing on the first two, but I kind of "loved to hate" Kami and Kyndra and really liked Rocky

Season 3 was actually the best season of Laguna Beach! I never thought I would say it but Whit and Tim rewatched it and it was the best season
Season 3 is well underrated, there is definitely more drama & the characters are less guarded.
Def lots of drama...and Tim and Whit made it hilarious. But definitely third place for me.
really???? I thought it was HORRIBLE. Everyone was overly fake and none of the people were likable or root-able at all. At least not for me.
This episode feels like Stephen has to talk a lot because Kristin isn’t really saying much she’s giving me the vibe that she is just over it and doesn’t wanna talk about this wooded towards the end. Lauren’s end of summer party was a fun way to send off everyone into the next chapter of their lives. A stark contrast from her fun pool party, this was meant to be a classy affair with catered food and conversation.
Lauren did genuinely invite Kristin to her home for the cocktail party. And Kristin was rude as a guest. Also, it may have been nice if Lauren had gone over to Kristin and Alex when they were off to the side from everyone- but maybe it was felt that Stephen was over there entertaining them. Who knows. This could have been more of a game changer had the two engaged at the time.
I respect how Jason made himself vulnerable to Lauren by going to her home, where he was not allowed into nor welcome. Also, the meet up with Jessica was a nice moment as well.
How did Heidi bring Lauren and Kristin together?
Because Heidi was always a 🐍 and just wanted to be famous so when Lauren brought her to Laguna as soon as she met Kristin she was buddy buddy with her even though she met all of them through LC. She wanted them to be friends because she like them both
Stephen remembers everything but him playing both sides with Kristin and Lauren..

Kristen would know about the last season. And Stephen could talk about that one episode he was on. But other than that they probably wouldn't have much to say.

It could still be super fun to do because they know the people involved. Look at Whitney Port and her husband’s rewatch series. The did Laguna Beach even though Whitney isn’t in there and it was so hilarious watching them. I watched that just before this podcast started and I absolutely loved it. They sit on their couch and watch it live during the podcast and it is just so good and funny.

Nah. With high school ending I think he would've taken it up anyways. That's a big change and destabilizer.
I think Jason and Lauren got back together very shortly after this? Not sure how long it was between LB2 ending and HillsS1 starting, but I've always thought/or thought I heard that they got back together fairly quickly.
