    Dom saying Faker was slightly better than Knight is just a blatant crime. Knight was completely invisible the entire series. This isnt the performance you'd expect from the so called "Best mid in China". Also, no recognition for Zeus dismantling 369. Absolute no mention of Gumayusi's 1v2 at the end. No recognition for Keria gapping Missing. It felt like this episode was just excuses over excuses of how JDG couldve but never did. Pathetic honestly.

I HATED how they were saying he didnt have to carry in g4 with ori since Ruler was ahead and sudden we give him an excuse to go crown zhon??? knight ghosted the whole series, he never went for big plays while faker constantly made differences. kanavi was desperate to make plays because he was the only one trying, and you can't criticize anyone for that. almost every korean analyst agree that mid was the biggest difference, besides top which is not even worth mentioning.

    • @alexanderatanasov5837
      @alexanderatanasov5837 8 месяцев назад +1

      I mean, if you actually watched the game, you would see that Kanavi was the only player which was hard gapped purely from play. Also, if you listen to what Dom said 10 seconds later, you would hear dom saying that Faker "didn't make any mistakes, whole series". T1 fanbois hear only what they want to hear.

  • @stephenkim96
    @stephenkim96 8 месяцев назад +34

    I think the biggest difference between T1 in finals this year compared to last year is that T1 actually has scrim partners. Teams like KT, GenG, KDF, and LSB are actively scrimming with T1 so that T1 can not only hide their strats from the LPL, but they can also stay somewhat sharp too. Last year, T1 players stated that they basically had no one to practice with during the breaks between quarters to finals because every team that lost basically went on vacation.

    Pure Cope from Dom the whole time lmao, and Monte and Thorin's(Yeah Thorin's not here, but I also watched Summoning Insight just now) constant arguments whenever T1 wins is always along the lines of T1 played well, but the other team played bad. So as of now, this is the third LPL team to get wrecked by T1, and at this time there should be a conversation about how T1 somehow makes LPL teams play like muppets, rather than genuinely taking away everything T1 does to their opponents, especially the intangibles. It's really disrespectful. I have the least gripe with Monte though, truth be told. Dude is intelligent and he argues both sides most of the time. But Dom though. Man's got enough salt to replenish the salt lost from the Dead Sea.

      Yeah they shpuld cut the crap about other teams playing bad and just credit T1 for playing good. Teams and players are prone to be inconsistent and would play bad at times. They should praise T1 for being consistently good. Besides, JDG are playing well like in game 3 and 4 they were ahead in gold like 2k and up. T1 just outplayed them. Tgey blaming Kanavi yet in that Velveth play in game 4 they were basically ahead and pressuring T1. If you remove all koreans in LPL then they will be basically just a tryhard second strongest region.

    Is Dom really blaming Kanavi for the entire series? Like sure game 4 he was running it down.
    But game 1 is entirely 369's fault they picked a very strong rumble meta for him and he got clapped by Zeus. Knight was also invisible with akali in game 1. Oner invaded the red, raptors, krugs he took fukin everything because there is no vision from Rumble (369) and Akali (Knight) , nor even any response at all. Kanavi tried to recover some tempo by ganking mid, make faker recall, and took Oner's raptors, but Faker (Bard is also rotating at this time) is willing to cover for Oner albeit losing some mid tempo, but they are not willing to do the same for Kanavi so of course he will be behind this game.
    Game 2 was won by Ruler and Kanavi. Kanavi was smurfing that game with his engages. How can you even argue that this is not a Kanavi game. Sure 369 did a decent job, but this is mostly on ganks and engages from Kanavi.
    Game 3 they are winning early game with Kanavi's gank. He is actually playing good with Wukong here. Sure Varus is not that ahead, but Guma is freakin' turbo gapped in CS here. Guma Keria is getting clapped becauss of the early gank. Zeus as well is down because of again Kanavi's gank. They even dove him under turret. T1 just played better in teamfights this game. T1 just have better setups and engages. So you can hardly blame anyone in this game. Are you really going to blame Ruler for getting caught by Faker? No, right? It's a mistake and Faker just did his thing. So I don't get the hate for Kanavi. You should blame Renekton for not doing anything despite being ahead except when T1 overchased or even Ruler here for his mistake while shopping and getting caught by Zeus. So why is Kanavi the only one getting shit on here?
    Game 4 Don't get me wrong this game is entirely on Kanavi making mistakes. But you can't blame him for losing the entire series that's some hard cope. Aside from the K'sante and some moments in the Renekton game, 369 barely have any presence on the map, same with Missing and Knight. They're not making any game breaking mistakes, but they're not doing anything either. It's just ridiculous to blame Kanavi for everything

      Fr Kanavi hard smurfed game 2. Biggest Difference is Kanavi was actively looking for plays and engages which led to those mistakes being made.. meanwhile Knight/369 a lot of the time would just be playing reactionary and not really looking for plays unlike the entire T1 team who were making incredible engages all series. Sure Kanavi ran it down game 4 but at least he was pro active, rest of JDG were lackluster af besides game 2.

      @johnkirk1772 8 месяцев назад +8

      haha this series was actually the Kanavi show - he was JDGs best player throughout games 1-3, hence why they asked him to carry game 4..but yeah oner has Rell so Kanavi can't win smite fights plus his bot lane are actually first-timing double marksmen against the best double marksmen duo in the world whilst his top laner gets shit on and his mid has no presence
      If this was T1 Kanavi and JDG Oner the series would have ended just about the same if not a worse stomp, watch how well Oner paths without Faker and Keria bailing him out constantly, most of Oner's impact comes from Q smite, his engages and team synergy...oner made a LOT of mistakes man, all of T1 made a lot of mistakes and got caught but they bailed each other out better than JDG bailed out their problematic members

    The fact he is singling out the KOREAN players especially the JUNGLERS when the CHINESE LANERS themselves shat the bed
    I mean MISSING went missing truly in the game yet he would corner only likes of KANAVI, like MISSING was just like how GHOST apparently won with DAMWON and ironic part is GHOST a world champion lmao unlike MISSING
    Point is both the teams which DOM dislikes read the meta better than his more liked teams, yes you can argue about people not playing upto the mark but then again WORLDS is where LEGENDS are born and never die
    Like the GENG (SSG that is) of old won WORLDS more than the new one because they clutched it better in WORLDS than the current one even tho they were pretty abysmal in REGIONAL COMPETITION
    And mostly the teams which win WORLDS are not generally regional champions cause some teams can evolve better at WORLDS than others
    Pointing out and singling KOREAN players in LPL team just when the whole team don't evolve is ridiculous, DOM should analyze games as neutral POV rather than having his LPL biased glasses lol

    Dom is salty and super biased against T1 🤣. Watched enough Last Free Nation episodes to know that he spends like 90-95% of his talking points time about how his favorite team seriously underperformed or choked and never giving any credit to T1’s performance on the day; this is how haters tend to operate. This was consistent with Dom’s behavior even after T1 beat BLG 2-0, then LNG 3-0, and then T1 beat JDG 3-1.
    Now he’s coping super hard for a WBG win (when the team wasn’t really on his radar until T1 beat JDG) and still strongly believes JDG is the best team (debatable like Monte mentioned) without giving T1 much credit to their performance.
    Also, note that on the last episode of Last Free Nation (and even episodes before that), Dom seemingly refused to accept any of Monte’s positive points on T1’s strengths…including meta shifts and T1 versatility in drafts. Now Dom is coping real hard again that T1 won through meta shifts and drafts and not giving enough credit for their performance.
    Occasionally, Dom might sprinkle in some T1 praise on his streams when T1 seems like they are about to win the series to seem like he has some resemblance of balance, but those who have followed Dom’s past know that he’s just a biased T1 hater.
    That being said…for any fandom, there are extreme fans and anti-fans on each end of the bell curve and Dom definitely falls into the extreme anti-fan territory.

      I think that it's strictly true. One of my co-workers had the audacity to tell me that Zeus gapped 369 in game 1, even though the 'gap' was the lack of preparation for top invade - is that 369's responsibility or Kanavis? Not such an easy question to answer. Even if we say that the responsibility is mutual, what we are saying is that the top 'gap' was a jungle ward gap. In other words, Zeus is the best top laner in the world because 369 didn't ward jungle? How does that prove Zeus's skill unless he mind controlled 369 into not doing it? We can't say that Zeus is better at vision control because he didn't ward either; It was all Oner.

Kanavi may have been the guy that ultimately lost them the series, but it's not like the other players were that much better. 369 was basically getting gapped by Zeus in every game except game 2. Knight, while not making any game losing plays was the most unimpactful player in the series. You could argue that Kanavi was the only one that was trying to win the series while the others just played to not lose. Missing actually wasn't too bad but he got gapped by Keria's champ pool. Ruler this series showcased his primary shortcomings which Gumayusi eventually exploited when he did his famous 1v2 outplay. Ruler has always been the clean up ADC whose best trait is that his positioning in team fights makes him extremely hard to kill. Players with stronger mechanics than him can easily outplay him in the 1v1. That being said, Ruler's ADC fundamentals are amazing so to beat that, you have to know how to find positions to kill him which only very strong teams and players can exploit.

    • @xeshurabeliard6025
      @xeshurabeliard6025 8 месяцев назад +11

      I will say this again. Double elimination is only great when you are on the losing side. Imagine you are facing the favorites to win it all before finals and you smashed them 3-0. You are the overall winner of the winner's bracket. Now you meet the favorites "again" In the finals that you already have beaten without any compensation whatsoever for beating them early on. A side selection is not enough as a compensation. Now the favorites beat you 3-2. They had a second chance but you did not. How is that fair? Unless they could solve this problem double elimination is just unfair. You could argue that maybe the favorites are just not playing at their peak, but you could argue the same when you lose to them at finals. So what, do we have another best of 5 to make it fair? The thing is you have to keep your optimal form no matter what. The team that is consistent is the best even if they are just above average. No matter how high your peak is if you don't show when it matters, your peak doesn't matter at all.

    1. JDG lost because of a Draft Gap. I don't know if its because A. Missing and Ruler that can play range comp, or B. 369 and Knight can't literally play Rumble and Azir. The Velveth issue just came out because of those 2 reasons. A jungler that can carry and also engage squishy backline instead of shitty sololaners. And once you lean so much on one player, they collapse.
    2. Meta change does not benifit any team as a whole. Maybe individual player with individual champion pool. And big champion pools are one aspect of greatness of pro players. You can also say JDG's players benefits from all the Meta of Spring, MSI, and Summer for favoring Value/Late Game 5v5 over Lane prio. Would they ever have won MSI if the patch was fixed to early spring? I can definitly say no.

    I dont think Bin played bad, if you actually look at the laning. TheShy was straight up mopping the floor with Bin, even in game 1 when he had that bad start. TheShy played super aggressive and knew the limits, game 3 was much if the same. He pushed super hard, was only focused on chunking bin and playing for towers

      I've seen so many loser bracket teams win in other esports when clearly the winners of the upper bracket team is the "best" performing team, probably because they have to sit out 2-3 series without playing which led to them being rusty.

    • @allbies
      @allbies 8 месяцев назад

      Three, he played Sylas but he didn't have to carry that game he just played decently. The thing is, why would Faker move from these champions if they're the best way for T1 to play. Not to mention these champions are very meta for everyone other mid in the tournament as well. If a team wants to change their ban strategy to test his champion pool because they think he can't play anything else, they should do that. I personally think he'll just play Syndra / Neeko / Viktor and do perfectly fine if Azir and Ori are both banned.

      Neeko Orianna Azir. He's so good on all of them, and it's very difficult to ban all those 3. There's no need for him to switch, but if Xiaohu does pick Azir, he will probably turn to Akali.
