Peter giving him his blessing was literally Bendis telling the fans to screw off, this is his baby. This story is very...defensive

I gotta say thank you!!! I fell into your channel a couple years ago to learn how to talk comics with my brother. Since then you have helped me relate with my youth from my youth group and today a person from work heard me listening to this episode and they wanted to talk comics. They were so happy to meet another comic book lover I’ve never purchased a comic but now I have a ton comics. I never knew how many people love comics but feel on the fringe. I so jazzed to be able to talk shop with them now.
Loved this book, the only thing I wish they did just a little different was providing more emotion in the scene where Peter & Gwen meets, maybe just a little more shock & sadness but otherwise great story.

Yup. I think he was the first big villain post Ultimatum. I remember they introduced him by having him kill Kingpin, which immediately made me hate him.
The movie successfully executed the flawed story of Spider-Verse that Slott wrote, by completely ignoring the bullshit villains that are the Inheritors. Somebody should have told Slott, that "evil Space Vampires hunting Spiders for lunch" is not a good pitch at all.

There is a kinda sweet moment in recent Loki where he goes to a library THE HOUSE OF IDEAS. The two... things running it invite Loki as they have others in a dream like state where they don't remember always. Some of there inner desires are given to them. Spider-man asked for more time so he could help more. Wolverine asks for more time to be punished more.

As bad as this sounds, I got into comics through miles. For my friends growing up, the ultimate universe was the “real marvel universe” I’m sure if I reread it again , I’d hate the ultimate universe but for now I’m feeling real nostalgic right now.
Ultimate had a lot of potential, but its a shame how they ruined any chance of it becoming more successful by making every character not named Peter Parker an edgy asshole. Seriously, every Avenger in that universe was a dick. Apart from that there were several controversial decisions like Wolverine being Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's creepy perv dad, the incestuous relationship they had, The Hulk being a cannibal, Hank Pym, and others.
True but she isn't related to spiderman in anyway she's a completely independent character when he said miles is the only "spider person" to have a venom blast I think he means from spiderman line of characters and variations
I kinda wished Peter met this world's MJ, but I guess bendis don't wanna write a somewhat creepy story of a old guy in his 20s having feelings for a teen version of his ex-wife which why is he exluded her in the story.
Ultimate Gwen was much more interesting than classic 616 Gwen. Its a shame that they decided to kill her off for shock value. Classic MJ is still the best though.
I don't know if this will help with the 616 timeline for people, but... Around the original Civil War storyline, which was written around 2005, it was stated that 13 years had passed in the timeline. So if Peter was one of the first handful of heroes and got bit at 15 years old he is about 28 by Civil War.

You can tell that digital comics really took trial and tribulation on sals character arc in this story, same for Ethan and Ben. Their story unravels as they gain more expansive knowledge to the marvel and DC mutltiverses including saga.

For 616 Peter, is it the past or present when he’s in the Ultimate universe? All the people Peter knows are young (weird to but not important), but tech wise it’s almost the same. And why is there a time difference between the universes? 616 was around during the 60s, while Ultimate was in the 2000s. That’s a BIG gap for the two of them. Though 616 has had some revamping done so his time got moved close to, it not at the same time as Ultimates.
