I decided it was time to go back to my Spidey roots with the show that introduced ME to the character properly. 1994’s Spider-Man: The Animated Series. And I know I’m not the only one who grew up on this Spidey. For the better part of a decade this was the DEFINITIVE version of the character for so many kids, basically until Raimi’s first Spider-Man film released in 2002. And I think you can actually see a lot of this show’s influence in how the Raimi trilogy was approached and executed. But the big question I had going in was: does Spider-Man The Animated series hold up? Or is nostalgia altering my memories? Well, let’s find out.

Also, don’t forget that there’s an entire Spider-Man ride in Orlando that’s based on this version of the character that is still active to this day! Such an influential and classic show.
Wow I need to go ride that

That final "Nooo!" scream. Dude that one hit harder than the others.
This time he *watched* Mary Jane melt away. The others she just dissappeared. This time he effectively had to watch her die.
So true
Final scream is best scream. 😱😭👌🏾
Man oh man
I missed many episodes as a kid, so I watched The Return of Hydro-Man Part 2 for the first time as an adult. I was devastated, to say the least. And that feeling seems to amplify each time I rewatch the series. The voice actors knew their stuff.

The fact that they put this Peter through so much really culminates in when he has to face off against a version of himself that couldn’t handle that pain.
This and X-Men were both cartoon soap operas for kids.
What if spider-man found Mary Jane Watson in the pink wormhole limbo in the Disney plus again soon?
Yep, great finale villain.
Well, that version had the Carnage symbiote and was also in a bad place mentally due to not having any idea if he was a clone or not. But yeah, the weight of being Spider-Man fueled a lot of it too.
@@jool5941so, you are saying you only like heroes when they are alphas only?
The Venom story in this show is executed perfectly. I will maintain that this show, that defined Spidey for the Millennial generation, is the reason why there's a Venom movie and that character is so loved. This version of Venom is still my favourite version too, the slightly bigger, evil Spider-Man. He's written as an alter-ego, rather than the arch villain. Also loved how Peter Parker behaved in the black suit, just confident and more aggressive, and intimidating.
Agreed
The Venom movies are a joke

I don’t think I could have a definitive favorite but this series was definitely amazing and yeah, that 3-parter was great.
They also did really awesome at combining unrelated comic book story arcs into a singular theme for the television animated series.
I wish they woulda let it get a little “darker” or mature. I mean spidey can’t even punch people in this series

This show is what introduced me to Spider-Man as a child. When other kids dressed as Batman or Superman or Power Rangers for Halloween, I dressed as Spider-Man (with the black webbing under the arms). And this Spider-Man is the voice I hear in my head whenever I read his lines whether in stories or comics.

_Spider-Man: TAS_ is an excellent base intro for anyone who has a clean slate to Spider-Man as an icon. It can be a great bridge to the basic comics and/or vice versa. It's obviously also a precursor to the foundation of what makes the Raimi Trilogy so solid.
That being said, it also feels like a censored-to-death milquetoast 1990's knockoff that is trying to replicate the amazing success that was _Batman: The Animates Series_ of the same era.
This show introduced me to Spider-Man as well! Also my first ever introduction to superheroes in general
I'm so glad I'm not the only one.. as a kid none of my friends watched it. Funny enough, I started watching it because my dad was watching it. Thanks Dad!
As a child of 99 this show was the reason I grew up to be a Marvel fan!

My first exposure was Spectacular, but I've been wanting to check this show out sometime
Same.
I think one of my favourite parts of the Spiderman Animated series is how he defeats Spider-Carnage. He doesn't defeat him by overpowering him or outsmarting him but by getting the one person who could appeal his humanity, Uncle Ben
Great finale! It has me looking forward to the main villain in the Spider-Verse sequel possibly being a corrupted Spider-Man, of which there have been several promising candidates.
One important thing to note is that Spidey and Spider-Carnage were hoping through different dimensions and this one was universe where Peter Parker's life was perfect (he's super rich, has huge company, is celebrity, is married to MJ, etc), so Spidey figures in this universe Uncle Ben must be alive and brings him so he can appeal to Spider-Carnage humanity. Keep in mind that Spider-Carnage is quite literally Peter Parker that has bonded with Carnage symbiote, so he would still have same memories and sentiment towards Uncle Ben.
I think one reason why Venom is so beloved is the fact that, in a lot of ways, he is to Spider-Man what Virgil is to Dante. Or what Shadow is to Sonic. Or Seto Kaiba to Yugi.
Facts, the perfect opposite
Yugi? You must mean Yuugi.
The sasuke to his naruto?
Yup
He's an antithesis to spiderman in terms of powers.
Vegeta to his Goku
I can basically remember all the episodes of this great show when I was between 5-9 yrs old, but by far... the episode that always stood out the most is the one when Mary Jane after her mysterious return from that time dilation dimension turns out to be just the water cloned version of the actual MJ. When she cried her whole heart out to Peter even though she wasn't the real MJ, and then just evaporated out of Peter's life. Not also was I completely shocked by that insane twist, I was also devastated as a kid to watch Mary Jane Watson die before my eyes and then to watch Peter's anguish as he yet again loses the love of his misfortunate life. One of the most saddest and haunting episodes I have ever seen of any show to this day.
You gonna have to meet me on the streets over that Stan Lee episode. That was Stan Lee's best cameo, hands down, and it was heartwarming. Especially love the ending when Peter said something like, "That Stan Lee sure is great," while Madam Webb, whose voice actress is Stan Lee's wife, said, "I think so too."
Sweet
It sucks when you know he’s dead
I always start laughing when he says something like "how do i get down from here" when spider man accidentally leaves him on top of the roof lol
@Stephen O'Brien Just like how Batman is often credited as the sole creation of Bob Kane without any acknowledgement of Bill Finger's contributions, although both guys actually collaborated together on the characters of not just the Caped Crusader/Dark Knight, but also the well-known circus orphan origin of the first Robin, Dick Grayson, which was retold in the DC Animated Universe (created by Bruce Timm & Paul Dini) two-parter from _Batman: The Animated Series_ titled "Robin's Reckoning" (and once again [although this time in live-action] per the 1995 Schumacher-directed film _Batman Forever_ although Dick in the latter never really wore the Robin outfit much as Batman's sidekick until the end battle of wits pitting Batman as both his billionaire playboy philanthropist persona Bruce Wayne & his crimefighting alter-ego simultaneously against the twosome of Harvey Dent/Two-Face [who was always of two minds regarding everything due to his dual identity crisis problem] & criminal genius Edward Nygma aka The Riddler to save both film [and tie-in graphic novel adaptation] exclusive love interest Dr. Chase Meridian & his ward from a watery grave death trap, not to mention that actor Chris O'Donnell was basically playing a much-older version of "The Boy Wonder" than what the source comics portrayed & by the time 1997's disastrous _Batman & Robin_ film came out, the iconic walking traffic light outfit Robin's known for wearing was replaced with a red variant of Dick's traditionally blue Nightwing outfit, except he was still being referred to as Robin in the movie).

Great Video, Johnny.
To answer your question about why they De-aged the Vulture for the show: it’s an adaptation of the “Life-theft” storyline from the comics by David Michelinie, where Vulture uses life energy absorbing technology to restore his youth and cure his cancer. He’s also drains Spider-Man’s youth here, but once Peter defeated him, Adrian remained young in the comics for years ( including when the show was airing). So it’s as simple as that.
Damn I did not realize it was a comic adaptation, I did not like it lol
@@Johnny2Cellos it’s much briefer in the comics, only 2 issues, and then it’s done.
Oh, regarding the secret wars episodes and the finale not feeling final:
1. Semper originally wanted to bring the entire X-men cast back again for these episodes, however, Fox overruled him, because it proved to be too costly to fly them in( the season two episodes where they guest star, were the most expensive episodes of the series for this reason), since the two shows were recorded in different locations.
Some characters were off limits, such as the Hulk, because of his solo series on UPN, which in development at this time( Lizard’s portrayal here with Curt’s intelligence, is Hulk’s exact role in the secret war comics.)
2. Season 5 was not meant to be final season. Semper had planned a sixth season to wrap up all the loose ends; including peter and the real MJ uniting on screen and eventually getting married by Stan Lee himself. Effectively, bring the series full circle. However, the head of Fox Kids at the time decided to suddenly cancel the show at the last minute because she disliked Avi Arad, who was demanding about certain elements of the show. By the time the crew found out about the cancellation, the “ spider wars” episodes were already done. So there was no time or money to change the ending. This is why in Spider-Man unlimited, we just see Peter and MJ reunited with no explanation. We just have to accept that it happened off screen.
Wow I did not know those freaky age absorbing abilities where comic book canon from vulture vulture they are odd I am not mad that Spider-Man Homecoming didn't use them would be odd to see Tom Holland suddenly look Michael Keaton level old
@@Johnny2Cellos question would you ever consider reviewing the individual arc’s in the series??
@@Dhampir101980 Nah it was longer than that. Life Theft was 3 issues, but Vulture was young for about 2-3 years. He was young for the whole of the Clone Saga. Life Theft was about 6 months before Ben showed up. It was the story where Peter's 'parents' died and he got all broody, which Ben snapped him out of. Vulture got old again a few months after Ben died.
Absolutely deserves to be talked about alongside Batman: The Animated Series!
Damn right
Agreed
This is an amazing show but Peter Parker is so different to what he usually is and it just doesn't work. He's normally a small skinny nerd not a tall buff guy with a swept over pretty boy haircut and the jawline of Robert Pattinson 😂 I've recently started a rewatch after not having seen the show in years and was baffled by how he's portrayed here in comparison with all other Spider-Man material.
@@peakdennis1 John Romita Sr, the most influential and iconic Spider-Man artist, always drew Peter as a bigger guy
@@peakdennis1 This isn't high-school peter. It's not even really college peter. It's early grad school peter. He's been spiderman for quite sometime. Spending your nights swinging from webs and beating up bad guys is going to result in you building up muscle.
Also, the Hobgoblin was voiced by Mark Hamill
Fun fact in his first appearance frank calse tried to shoot spider man and literally the next issue introduces spidey’s dune buggy(yes spider-man had a dune buggy) say with me now “COMICS ARE WEIRD”
Vulture’s costume and him making himself younger was taken from a comic arc from the early 90s. It wasn’t created for the show. The Silvermane storyline was also taken from Stan Lee story arc from the 60s. I loved that show growing up, and when I finally read the Stan Lee comics when older, I found out that so many of those episodes were adapted directly from the comics.
Same 😭
Yeah that Silvermane/Tablet Saga storyline was the longest arc in Spider-Man history up to then. Stretching around 10 issues all in all. 1969. Amazing art.
Loved the early use of CGI within TAS intro, really adds to the 90s-ness of it 👌
To be fair, even as a kid in the early 2000s watching reruns of the show, I felt the use of CGI was kind of weird. Fortunately it was used pretty sporadically. I also used to watch Reboot and Beast Wars, but when the MTV Spider-Man animated series premiered it felt like a huge upgrade in terms of CG quality
I remember this and Spectacular airing on Disney XD and stuck around. It was good to be a spidey fan I'm the early 2000s. Glad to be entertained with the good shows
Wow what a trip through time! This was my introduction to Spider-man and made me a lifelong fan! Some of the clips you used are exactly as I remember! Like I had memories stored in boxes this whole time and watching your video was like opening them again! Thanks for that! :D

An absolutely great gem of a synopsis. This was my absolute favorite cartoon as a kid besides BTAS. This cartoon is the reason I love spiderman so much. We were lucky to be kids in the 90s. I remember being so juiced every Saturday morning with my cereal or poptarts completely glued to the TV when this came on. Some of my fondest childhood memories for sure. I remember being around 5yo, having cable recently installed at home and obsessing over this series. I also remember the moment when MJ "melts" cause she's an unstable clone feeling like a fever dream. My little brain was not ready to understand such complexity, I loved it! 😅

I just wanted to point out that John Semper Jr. said that you weren't supposed to know if it was really Norman Osborn or not talking to Harry. There are hints left to go both way.
For it being Osborn is how did Harry know what to do to become the Goblin.
For it being NOT Osborn is how was Harry able to leave Osborn when he didn't accept him any more.
Thanks i always wondered that
I still come back to this show. Teenage me loved this character. Thank you so much for the trip down memory lane 😊
My grandfather got me into the animated comic shows on fox kids at a young age. He is a lifelong comic nerd (even collected entire sets of happy meal toys associated with them) and I remember sitting in his den with him at probably 3 or 4 years old as he was watching his vhs recording of episodes that had aired that week for spider-man, x-men, and batman. He was a nasa software engineer so no surprise he could set a VCR lol. If it wasn't for him I never would have fallen in love with those characters. He is also the same guy who watched power rangers so he would have something that i was interested in to talk to me about and took me to the power rangers movie twice on its opening weekend. Papa is a freaking legend and I just want everyone to know it
This was my first exposure to Spider-Man as a kid, and to comic books as a whole. I owe it a lot.
The 90s Animated spiderman is my favorite spiderman and it introduced me to spiderman and it absolutely still holds up today
Great essay! In fact I started rewatching the show because of this video. On a personal note. What mesmerised me as a kid was the way spidey moved. He was so brilliantly agile, fast and graceful. I always felt it represented his powers in the best possible way. The director and the staff put a lot of thought and effort in choreographing movement and shots that portray them. For me this wasn’t replicated until into the spider verse.
Only criticism I always had was mj still being gone. This was my childhood and made me a fan of Spider-Man. One of my favorite cartoons of the 90s and even as an adult still is awesome.
On the "censorship" according to john semper jr BSNP (broadcast standards and practices) treated this show mostly no different to any other show. He just wasn't too interested in fighting BSNP on stuff and decided that the best option would just be to follow along. Besides its not really that important to have death and stuff, it just made the darker elements stand out more.
Nobody was asking for more deaths, just have Spidey fight more creatively.
@@vetarlittorf1807 i get that. For me growing up i never really noticed how spidey didnt punch and it was mostly web kicks, grapples, and webbing. It all felt like regular fighting. I just thought it was important to note that it wasnt treated all too different from other shows. BTAS got away by fighting BSNP for its use of guns, adding scenes that would certainly get cut so they can use the less aggressive material. In all the DCAU shows they do a white flash before impact to avoid showing a punch due to the same censorship rules. I just feel its an important context thats often avoided
@@NovastarDoughnut I suppose so. At least it's better than how X-Men TAS treated Wolverine. With him never being allowed to use his claws except on robots and gets his ass kicked literally all the time.
@@vetarlittorf1807 yeah. Thats fair. Xmen had issues there. Its having a guy whos main power is cutting peoples limbs off and only ever having him nonletally stab or throw someone into trashcans. But to be fair xmen it fought BSNP much harder for its more politically charged, topical material. Which lead way to my boi static shock
@@vetarlittorf1807 Adding punches would've made the fighting less creative, not more. The place where the censorship shows the most IMO is the overuse of the word "destroy".

I was born in 2001, well after this show ended but I had a lot of the DVDs which was my introduction to Spider Man when I was a kid. The DVDs had random episodes cherry-picked from various seasons and I never even knew they were from different seasons with the story arcs until now. But I still loved watching the few episodes I had access to on repeat and learning about the characters. I also had no idea there were other animated Marvel shows that had a shared universe. But since animation allowed anything to happen which live action film couldn't do at the time, it makes sense that they tried an animated universe in the 90s before the MCU. It's very intriguing.
wow! thank you for this! this gave me so many nostalgic feels. wanna go back and rewatch the whole thing now 😁

This was the series that introduced me to Spider-Man and made me fall in love with the character.
Just found your channel, loved the two reviews of this and Spectacular Spider-Man now subscribed and going down the rabbit hole of your other videos 🤓
I grew up on this entire series. I remember watching them on Saturday mornings AND after school on the weekdays. I remember being suspended in the 5th grade for three days, being home and watching after school cartoons like The Mask and Spiderman!
The carnage symbiote exacerbating Peter’s mental and moral collapse from being Spider-Man was probably more real than the children watching were really able of comprehending, myself included. But having gone back and watched this with my son (he loved it just as much as I did and we binge watched it together) I was able to appreciate it all over again, despite some of the cheesy 90’s tropes. It has a certain charm to it that aged well.
This will always be one of my top iterations of spiderman, I prefer him as a young man who has had experience being a hero as well as being a respected, solo, CAPABLE superhero who is also down to do team ups like with daredevil, x-men, the fantastic four and my personal favourite, iron man.
Tom holland is great and all but I never really was on board with spiderman being a smaller hero in the grand scheme of things where his character traits are being an awkward fanboy when interacting with other heroes, this theme being even more apparent in the 2014 ultimate spiderman show. That is why this show, spiderman ps4 are my most favourite representation of the character. (besides the comics)
I agree but I also have to point out in the very first comics Spider-Man, still as a highschooler, invades the Fantastic 4 building and beats them(sort of) to prove he is a worthy addition to the team; only to change his mind after finding out they don't make money.
So even a teenage Spider-Man should have been more capable than the Holland version is portrayed.
In the original comics it was the fact that teenage Peter was inspired by science, was awkward, inexperienced and being inventive but making mistakes even being outdone at times by his enemies' unusual powers and having to adapt to defeat them.
The Tom Holland spidey was given the tech that Peter had to work to get.
All the films drew on different parts of Peter/ spiderman character which was why the No Way Home while it had it flaws was an overall success.
The 1990s series had it's flaws but overall covered a great number of enemies, crossovers and story lines from the comics which kept fans old and new happy.
Man this series needs to be remastered (keeping the same aspect ratio though!)
Golden age of marvel animated shows, man 90s cartoons were just something else
This was also my intro to Spiderman, I’ll admit a large part of what I love it is nostalgia but it is a great show none the less. It’s still what I use as my main canon for anything Spiderman related.
Oh and as someone who has been both Spiderman and Invincible for Halloween you’re right about the chafing in the suit 😂
You should do a video on Invincible
This and batman TAS are GOATED shows, being one of the best adaptations and understandings while also introducing myself and many to the characters and rouges gallery
Oh yes, this was my introduction to Spider-Man and he's ben¿en my favorite super hero ever since. The music, the character design and the voice acting in both the original and the dubbed versions are iconic. I wish Marvel would announce a continuation the same way they did with X-Men.
Great video, and yes, HARD YES on Spidery and Black Cat being together.
Absolutely loved this series!!! The only version that just slightly edges this version out is 2008's Spectacular Spider-Man.
I really want to go through these 90s superhero cartoons again. I was born in 93 so I feel as if I was too young at the time for these but maybe I'd appreciate it better now.
Spectacular definitely is the superior show in my opinion but I love how 90s this show is from start to finish. And of course the influence it obviously had on the Raimi trilogy is the cherry on top looking back.
Little name correction its Raimi. And saying the series had influence on the Raimi movies is not really it at all.
They both just followed the 60s comics super super closely including the extreme silliness for better or worse.
And spectacular is without a doubt better than the 90s series.
Not if you compare animation in my opinion
With all due respect.
Just because the 90s show had detailed character design doesn't mean their animation is automatically good.
Real quality animation comes from how fluid it moves and express lively movements.
Which spectacular is most definitely better at.
While the 90s series has every animation error imaginable.
@@alvinchikara713 maybe from a technical standpoint. But the detailed 90s designs look much better than the one that came out 20 years later. Also I prefer the 90s voice cast as well but that’s just me.
I love spectacular spiderman but i cant consider it a superior show when it got canceled before Peter and Gwen could even get together
Peter Parker’s name appearing in the newspaper in X-men 97 is the closest we have to a reboot for now
After Across The Spider-verse, Spot is one of the scariest ones in Spidey's rogues gallery
I was born in 2000 but this show was also my introduction to Spider-Man. Thanks, reruns!
Never realized when I was younger that this series was basically the genesis of everything to do with the black suit besides the existence of the black suit itself.
I’ve been rewatching this, and this is perhaps one of the most faithful adaptations. It’s corny 90s but also entertaining
this series the reason why crossovers are such a big reason and give me a nostalgic feeling with any show especially the MCU
Wow you and Godzilla Mendoza posting TAS vids in the same week? Pretty crazy!
lol wild
Always felt Felicia was a better love interest form Spidey than the others. She challenges him and he challenges her. With her powers she also has something to do when she shows up, rather than just getting herself into trouble and getting herself kidnapped like some of the others 😬
Oh dont worry, now everyone knows about the Spot...
Hey i'm new to the channel. I can tell you're doing a fantastic job! Spiderman is a very special character to me and I'm very happy to see you recap how he became special to you too! Also yes Black Cat was incredible on this show. Truth be told, if morbius' return could've been taken out or worked through more differently I could almost see how these two could have achieved a happy ending. I also always have found it signifiant that Peter's first and last kiss were both with Felicia on this show! That being said I love this version of Mary jane a lot too, she's my favorite version of the character! I also like the competition theme al lot. I think this show definitely impacted how often I am drawn to stories where two or more girls compete over the same guy. I definitely do owe this series a lot, and I'm always glad to see other people recognize how special it was, even if it's not for everyone! I like your videos a lot so far, and I'm looking forward to more!
Well, you've got a 51-year-old subscriber, bub. This is such a nuanced look at the series my friends and I were recording and watching on VHS in our apartment at the time! You hit the notes that drew me in, as well. I had already been a Spidey fan since I new who he was, but the recurring thematic and, yes, the romantic parts of Peter's story are well-represented in the series. The fact that you acknowledge the truly heart-wrenching moments that the show tackled head-on, with respect and reverence, has made me an instant fan of yours. Kudos, my friend.
This show is why I have always had a special place in my heart for Spider-Man. Thanks for covering it!
Amazingly explain and It Shows how much Spider-Man have gone through..Good time watching this show 👏🏻
This series is definitely the reason that Spiderman and Venom are my favorite Comic Hero and Villain to this day, I rewatched it recently and I love every bit of it that I watch, it is great.
This was awesome! Cant wait for the one on The Spectacular Spider-Man! That will undoubtedly also be awesome!
Another great Spider-Man video! Can’t wait for the Spectacular Spider-Man one because that’s my definitive version of Spider-Man in media so looking forward to it!

“Talk about a low budget flight”
No food or movies? I'm outta here. I like running better.
Spidey's getting married was a major thing in the 80's. National Television. News worthy.
I rarely comment, but I loved this video. It's nice to see someone gush about a show that I love while also admitting it was flawed and very much of its time.
It's great no matter what the time is.
Good video and excellent point about how most of the episodes in season 3 actually synced up. Despite having "Sins of the Father" blared up in every title, I never really thought about how much fathers (and sometimes mothers) play a role in the episodes.
Nice recap. I grew up with this show and Spider-Man was my favorite superhero. I'm pretty sure I saw all of these episodes and didn't realize Mary Jane never ACTUALLY returned.
Loved this video! Also spiderman meeting Stan Lee is one of my favorite things ever to be put on tv. Also I was like you I went back to watch the series when Netflix got it and was surprised that the hdyro man thing wasn't the last part of the series.
This as well as the Batman series was everything for me in the 90’s
Same here. I've always been a fan of BOTH heroes and companies because of these shows, spin-off comic book series and toylines!😊
Best Spidey adapation ever. That cartoon was gold. And it had crossovers!
5:29 Miss ya Stan
6:32 Iconic Shot... I repeat Iconic Shot! Damn he looked good in that black suit, badass.
If the X-men revival does well maybe this show will come back in some way
we can only hope
It had better be animated by Tokyo Movie again.
I wouldn't hold my breath. You know how remakes are handled these days
Yes!
This series was my introduction to Spiderman, so this video was very nostalgic. I also really loved the Raimi movies and I'm a big fan of the PS4 game.
This REMAINS the best representation of the wall crawler in any medium save MAYBE the video game and, naturally, many of the comics.
I will forever remember this as my Marvel universe. The Toy Biz toys, Saturday morning cartoons and trips to Toys 'R Is to get "just one more figure", the costumes and play sets and toys, and the STORYLINES. We were lucky kids.
Thank you for this video
Video seemed good enough for a subscribe butxyou recommending Comic Tropes made me take my phone out of my pocket to do it instantly. You obviously have good taste. Look forward to more of your videos. Your voice is very easy to listen to and im always there fir Spidey content
I've rematch this series as an adult way to many times. I love this show, it was a very strong character piece. Appreciate the love poured into this video
Good show but the Peter Parker interpretation is so off the rails lol.
@@peakdennis1 No, it's not. The most prolific Spidey artist always drew Peter Parker as a bigger guy. Also, this isn't angst-ridden lanky teen Peter, nor college Peter, but undergraduate student & semi-well adjusted adult Peter, so he's been Spider-Man for quite some time by this point. Besides, Peter's intentionally supposed to look handsome, regardless of age or the medium (comics, cartoons, or movies) used. So, actually, the depiction of Peter here is accurate to the version they were pulling from for this animated series.
This and Saim Raimi's Trilogy both introduced me to Spider-Man.
I was at Universal studios Orlando last night and the Spiderman attraction was pure nostalgia.
The symbiote suit shooting organic webbing from the top of the hands instead of the wrist was my favorite
Absolutely bonkers the timing of this! I wasn't born when this show aired. So I've been going back recently to start watching it. Like 2 days ago recently, and then you post this.
It's awesome to see so many people going through a Spidey phase these days. On one of the songs from the soundtrack of this show, the top comment says "stuck in my head for the past 20 years".
Being born in 1990, this show came on when I was 4. This was the show that got me into Spidey. I loved this damn show growing up. Loved it more than X-men. Thanks for another banger of a video, Johnny. This one hit home.
You are by far the best animated content youtuber and I would love if you made more videos on more family friendly shows. I understand you aren’t gonna make any videos on shows you don’t personally watch but if you do enjoy shows like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Amphibia etc. a video on any of those shows would be great.
I actually like all those shows! Not sure if I’ll make videos about them but they’re grest
This, X-Men and BTAS were my jam and I’m so glad so many others grew up on it too. I like some of the newer iterations, but my OG’s hold a special place
I love this show so much, this is my definitive version of Spider-Man. I wish you mention the universal ride, which is like a shortened episode with all of the villains and you get to live it!!!
Grew up with this Spider-Man and it will always hold a special place in my heart and solidified Spider-Man as my favorite super hero.
It's a great show but I'm so baffled by how the Peter Parker looks and acts in it lol. He's the total opposite of every other spiderman cartoon or movie.
35:25 I remember this exact angle lodged in my memory wow what a time capsule
This video unlocked memories I didn't even know I had
