@@holobolo1661why the hell would ask an AI? It’s not reliable at all
@@holobolo1661 Yep, the a/c would probably need an inspection before departing... ;D
Lukla Rwy Slope: 12% which equals 6,843 degrees (I had mixed up % and degrees angle before)
GS of 130kts x 1,852 x 1000 x sin (6,843 degrees) x cos (6,843 degrees) / 60 / 0,3048 = 1557 ft/min vertical speed component by RWY slope. Correct me if I am wrong, my physics lessons have been long time ago. I think this clarifies, why it would not be working out practically. Also
the rejected takeoff scenario would not work.
With this amount the g-load ((1580x0,3048/60) ^2 /2 /9,81 equals even about 3,1 g reduced by the shock absorber of the main landing gear. I did not include the v/s of 600ft/min during the approach, just the slope effect.
With only 100kts I get 1198 ft/min and only 1,9 g. So strong headwind would have a positive effect on the g-load. Nevertheless,
I also enjoyed your video demonstration of this scenario, downloaded the same scenery and tried it out several times. Best result was with aircraft nose close to the wall after landing and rollout. I also enjoy approaches on short Rwy 05 of LIRQ / Firenze.
@@holobolo1661 AI is useless for answers because you need to double check everything it does. This isn't the use case for an LLM due to it being confidently incorrect and lacking any knowledge of what its actually doing.
"It looks like we are coming in really steep, but in fact we are not!"
...
*_*SLAMS INTO RUNWAY*_*
"flare"
*slams it into the ground*
"... your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Idle. Flare. Dig the landing gear out of the concrete.
“Flare” 😂
Still better than most Ryanair landings 🤣
Elitist Flight Simmers - I watch Emi because he takes things seriously
Emi release's video of landing a A320 at Lukla
Me - Love it :D
Ok i laughed when you switched to the outside view of 340 😃. Positive but usable I know the feeling well 😅
😂😂😂
Ok, you have opened a new route for the A320 😀
I thought I was in the swiss001 channel
Wow... never thought I'd see this on your channel! I think that was almost 2000 fpm though, -600 before touchdown and then +1400 when rolling up the runway
Hervorragend! Die Landung von außerhalb des Flugzeugs zu sehen, wäre interessant.
Excellent!! Im an A320 Captain, Im off to Lukla to give it a go. Nicely flown Mano
Imagine all the great value all those tourists will create for the region!
Fun video 😀
Could you maybe make a short video on "High Altitude Setting" and "Manual Landing Elevation" when they would be used in a some real world scenario?
at this point you might as well try Courchavel next
or Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport
I brought so much butter in my bags but it all fell out in that landing...
Enjoyed that video a lot, thank you! 😄
Your previous airline might call you back, offering four stripes, after they see this landing lol. Shame the A340 doesn’t fit. TNCS/VNLK would be such a good choice for the next cross the pond event.
Wow, that’s awesome! I love crazy experiments like this (although I’ve never even dreamt of doing it in the A320).
Beautiful landing and still had some runway left
Enjoyed very much !
Missionary Bush Pilot redefined.
That was almost as smooth as the recent Lufthansa 747 landing we had in LAX :D
Accurate flight dynamics! xD
😂😂😂👍
The Chief Pilot would like a word...
Great flying .
I saw it happen, and yet I still can’t believe it. Damn.
Next Challenge: try to land a 737-800 in Lukla with real weather conditions
Yes, one or two fun videos now and then. Crazy stuff though 😁
320Simpilot tried this as well. A Bae 146 landed fine
Nice landing and great video! :-) Is this MSFS? Should be beceause the Fenix but the texture of the ground looks so blurry and strange colored - or is this because the quality of satellite image in that area isn't good?
I wonder what will happen if you did this in xp12
Da war ja noch genug Platz am Ende. ;)
well done!
remember guys! when people start hating on you know that you''re doing the right thing or something like that
pretty sure you can do the same thing with "pmdg''s" 737.. this video is utter bollox
No clue what that comment's trying to say, of course you can do this with the PMDG 737 as well, just like with any other plane that has halfway decent brakes and doesn't float to eternity.
Bae 146-100 would be good for this...
You may want to check out 320 Sim Pilot’s review of this scenery where he does exactly that (sorry for being a bit rude and advertising another channel)
@@fatboyfat_uk Ok
Would it be possible to approach from below, with positive vertical speed? To decrease the landing angle…
captain for Brisbane airport (YBBN) RNP approach the final approach fix (FAF) is 1230ft to intercept the glide path so what altitude should I put in my FCU 1200ft ?? let me know please thanks and can the (FAF) for an RNP approach be as low as 1230ft or even an ILS for that matter
Gotta retract my testicles from the overhead compartment after that landing captain... Neat flying tho!
Better that than scratching your remains off the rocks, right? 😉
Good luck with the load 15 report😂 Irl that would have been a crash, at least 3G by the looks of it
You need to do more goofy video like this.
I think this was great, not too silly (like some landing challenges) and well executed. So a question for you @A330Driver, is the Fenix add-on and flight model so authentic that you would try this for real? 😊
i think he currently doesnt want to die lol
In real life the weather probably wouldnt allow this, and the wings would most likely collide with the fences near the runway and other things.
I might be a German first officer, but I’m not THAT German first officer 😂
I'm forwarding thsi to your boss
Swiss001 has entered the chat
Swiss001 style😂
Try the PMDG 77W for us? 😂
Looks at the calendar, realizes it's not 1st April...wondering why :P
after that you may apply at Ryamair anny time.
Was that weird nose wagging up/down at the end some kind of fbw bug on the fenix being flown so slow ? It looked like you were fighting the plane to do what you want.
I don’t think it’s a bug. It looks like stall protection. The terrain is rising quite rapidly in Lukla, so judging the approach sorely on your mental picture of a typical approach view could be deadly here. Notice how the VSI goes from -800 to 1000 fpm climb, once the wheels make contact.
The Fenix is very aggressive with its Alpha Protection. In the real world when you fly it down into the alpha protection you can still nicely hold it at its pitch angle, the Fenix however aggressively pushed down. That’s what you saw there. Would have been much smoother in real life.
@@A330Driver I expected smthn like this :) fenix could use sum polishing in the areas of the envelope where protections kick in. i member there was an issue with the spoilers not reacting to some inputs if they previously auto extended in an overspeed scenario for example ? Was that fixed ?
Masterpiece 👍👍👍
A330 Driver 001!
🤭
How do u get a 99% Toga all my toga’s seem to be 89%?
It is possibile in real life to take off from lukla with the a320? With 0 payload, 0 passengers and almost 0 fuel ?
You’d probably either clip your wings somewhere or clip the landing gear when using the end of the runway as a catapult. I wouldn’t bet on it.
Now that was one was a perfectly funny and relaxing video to watch just before going to bed after that shameful (for LVFR of course, not for you Emi) A340 review, hahaha, thank you, it has made my day 🤣😂🤣 And the most importantly - it's not just funny, but still EDUCATIONAL - good preparation and a bunch of hints on how to make the airbus do what you want it to do, even if it disagrees too much, and even if it really should not and is not what it is designed for. Amazingly deep knowledge of the aircraft's systems and technicall nuances. Great job, Emi, awesome as always!
Thank you very much!
In real life that's imposible, isnt it?
If one is both crazy to risk his life/millions of $$$ and if he's crazy enough to lift off with minimum fuel... in theory yes it is possible
Ok, you're officially insane, but this was hilarious, so.......Courcheval in a 747 next then? :D
Landing was like -2000000fpm but ok :)
😮😮😮👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
8:58 inefficient brake usage brakes wasted for nothing
When is this super realistic Fenix aircraft going to be on Xbox
Never, Microsoft does not want addons that depend on an external piece of software in their marketplace.
Thanks for the information bro
Another one of these silly youtubers who just do these crazy landing challenges.
Just joking
🤡
I think you are making a joke? But it's awesome to see a professional do it, first 320SP, now A330Driver, I hope the trend continues!
@@holobolo1661 Yeah. Sometimes these type of videos are good.
