Great video, mate. I’m super keen to try the Zero. Like you, I’m generally not a fan of non-alcoholic beers but most reviews are very positive. Cheers!
Guinness Zero is one of the best zero alcohol beers around, a lot of zero alcohol beers have a really bad after taste but you don't get that with Guinness. A close second I'd say is Stella Artois Alcohol free, that's a good option.
Yes I agree, Guinness have done the best job! I haven’t seen the Stella Alcohol Free here in Sydney yet, I look forward to trying it when it is available! Cheers mate!
Here in the UK basically all the major brewers make a zero alcohol product. They are stocked in most major supermarkets. Peroni & Heineken are decdnt but Corona tastes like water @BeersWithBoydo
@@FreeloaderUK yes we have the Peroni and Heineken 0.0 here, when the Stella arrives I might have to compare them all, and we also don’t get the Corona 0.0 but I’m not even a fan of the real stuff so that’s ok lol
@@FreeloaderUKI’d agree the corona 0 tastes watered down, not pleasant. San Miguel 0 unfortunately is a complete no for me. But Guinness 0 is by far the best non alcoholic beer going
Just had my first pint of this, was slightly thinner and slightly more chocolatey than regular Guinness Draught, but really nice stuff! Will definitely have one or two if I’m driving and don’t want a soft drink.
You can nitrosurge either one using the well-known pin trick; it works equally well with 4%/0%. Doesn't make a huge difference, but the head's a bit creamier. I'm looking forward to the 0% coming on draught here in the UK, it's being rolled out to pubs in Ireland at the moment. Nice video, thanks!
Thanks for the comment mate! I’ll have to try the pin trick, lucky you, you will get the 0% on draught before Australia, I’d imagine it will be pretty damn good off draught! Enjoy!
I often get a zero at the Rugby club when I've got the car.... Only £2 a pint too, well a can poured into a glass... I rate it and don't mind a couple at all....
I'll often use Guinness as "gravy" for cheaper light lagers, in a half and half. Darkens it up and adds body and flavor to a cheap beer. I have to try this, I doubt I'd know the difference. I bet it's expensive though
I’ll have to try adding Guinness to lighter lagers for a 50/50 mix, I’ve never done that, the 0.0 Guinness is $15 AUD for a 4 pack, should be cheaper considering the real stuff is around $18-25 for a 6 pack
The taste of Guinness changes a lot depending on where it is brewed. They had to stop selling the UK brewed Guinness in the UK because too many people knew it wasn't like the Irish Guinness. I think Aussie tap Guinness is brewed in Adelaide and tins may be imported from Ireland
Yes I unfortunately have never had a pint of Guinness in Ireland but when I’ve had it everywhere else I notice the flavour can be different, also the way it’s poured! Thats interesting about the UK! Yes the tins we get are from Ireland which is good!
I've been alternating my beers between real Guinness and the Zero....I figure the health benefits of cutting down my alcohol consumption by half yet still enjoying a few drinks is a great balance
I'll be traveling from Las Vegas to Ireland this coming October. I don't drink but everyone else in the group does. Sounds like I'll still be able to have a shared experience with Guinness 0.0, I won't know the difference anyway Thank you so much for your honest review
@@BeersWithBoydo Oh no I live in Vegas, we'll be going to Ireland and the group will want to try Guinness "from the source" haha. But thank you, I appreciate it :)
I agree, the NA version is a very close replicant of the original. Not sure why they call it 0.0 since it's 0.5% ABV. I'd recommend doing a blind taste test and see if you can tell which one is which blindfolded.
Hey mate, glad you enjoy it! Congratulations on the 4 years sobriety, id imagine that must be hard and a drink like this would be very enjoyable on your journey!
No matter alcoholic or 0.0 after having 4 cans i splash the same in bathroom. Nitrosourge is something else i got it in dunnes yesterday. How guinness looks in a glass, amazing experience
Last night I had four cans of ice cold Guinness zero (been drinking it for about 6 months)... Tastes like Guinness without the alcohol, more moorish in my opinion than Guinness proper.... I was drinking a can of zero in about 15 minutes.... Then later on I had two cans of Guinness draught 4.1%... drank it a lot slower about 40 minute I can taste the alcohol that slight burning taste.... I prefer the zero.... I also noticed the Guinness zero was a lot sweeter and I like sweet things...
now a a non drinker non alcoholic beers are a waste of time because to give up drinking you need to lose the taste of beer and the habit of drinking which means not drinking non alcoholic anything.
There are people out there that have fatty liver disease and cannot have alcohol anymore. They still deserve to have a beer in a social setting and be able to enjoy themselves no ? Being a DD and responsible driver when going out ? I can give plenty of examples but the point is to consider others
What a waste of time. Not your upload, the concept of alcohol free beer. If someone can't drink alcohol, for whatever reason, chugging down something that almost smells and tastes like it is a terrible idea. Luckily, they don't, but it's still not recommended.
Got to try one of these, didnt even know Guinness 0.0 was a thing. Thanks for the heads up Boydo, another good review mate.
Yes be sure to check it out! They have done very well!

Excellent Guinness review, it's nice to see a man who enjoys his beer.
Cheers mate! Nothing like a good beer, I love it!
Good review this, very helpful
Thank you!
Took them 4 years to develop their 0.0. Love Guinness 0.0 and it competes well with the awesome Deschutes NA black Butte...both are my go to ports.
I've been to the brewery in Dublin. It's worth a visit.
I would love to go one day! Big dream of mine!
Zero is a lot thinner and sweater than draught!!! No question!! Also you need to get yourself a nitrosurge.
Yes I would love to get a nitrosurge, as I am very eager to try it out and see the difference, this could be my sign to get one 👌

Guinness draught o.o % alcohol-free stout...440 ml.. st James's gate Dublin Ireland... According to my can draught is already around
Haven't tried it on draught yet but it's very popular here (Ireland) now according to reports

True that!

Mosquito buzzing in front of the mic and cam. Cant get more Australian than this mate

Yeah fair call! But still beneficial for people who may want to drive or cut down on alcohol!
Guinness without alcohol is a like a car with no wheels. You're not going anywhere.
😂😂 ha ha cheers mate! You are not wrong!
True but the zero will go better on you if you're going to be driving said car
@@lenimbery7038If said car has no wheels then you can drink what ever you want because you'll be going nowhere anyways.
I find the Guinness zero is sweeter too
It is a little sweeter, they add a little fructose for that purpose which I hope we can feedback them into not doing.
I can only drink one of those 0.0 anymore its just meh
Yeah fair enough! Still the best 0.0 on the market!
@@BeersWithBoydo for sure!
Ireland is a different level of guiness 👌👌. Zero is decent
I can’t wait to get to Ireland one day and try the real stuff!!
Lol cool

Seems a bit redundant to write "non alcoholic 0.0"
"Non - Alcoholic" is marketed as "no more than 0.5% ALC" Thus, 0.0 is ZERO Alcohol, and is technically not a beer at all.

Non alcoholic beers are a waste of time, what is the point, may as well have a cup of tea of coffee

Yeah I don't fully agree, if I had to stop drinking alcohol due to a health condition or something I would be drinking the non alcoholic stuff 100%
