    Haha good job my man. Just bought mine - I live abroad so its rare I find a great pint of Guinness til I travel back to the UK or (even better) Ireland. But this is revelation and the cans are only 75p more than normal can where I am, so feels like a no brainer. Cool vid, nice one!

      Thank you for your great feedback. Since doing this I’ve managed to perfect the beer clean glass method now . If you look through my videos you will find my glass cleaning tips and now I can get the Guinness to completely coat the glass . I use Proton regenerate powder in a clean dishwasher with proper re sets the glasses , then from there on , hot salt water and salt in the glass with a baby bottle brush . Loads of rinsing and air dry only . The key is a brand new bucket and bottle brush with fine table salt . Hope this helps , all the best .

      got 3 guinness glasses, a new style and a slender new style that I nicked from pubs. My old style glass I found when leaving a mates flat, by the front door was a canvas bag full of pint glasses and when I had a rummage I found the guinness old style in amazing condition.
      As naughty as it sounds, just nick an new style glass from a pub. The pubs get the new style glasses for free as far as I'm aware.

    • @thespencerarms2022
      @thespencerarms2022  Год назад +2

      Thank you for the really great feedback. 😀I personally think 5 degrees is too cold even though it’s recommend.
      Between 7 and 10 is my recommendation . Mine was under the bar on the floor . I’ve tried them at different temperatures and I recon it’s best served more at cellar chilled temperatures. Give it a go . Most important thing is to let it sit for 24 hours and treat it steady . 😊
      Believe it or not , I still had a bit left in the can 😅.

    • @thespencerarms2022
      @thespencerarms2022  Год назад +2

      Oh know … 😢. I’m presuming your using a proper Guinness glass , which is important. Just checks … 1. Crack open settled can .2. Put on cap . 3. Turn on and pour straight away all the way up to the top of the harp ( that’s important) 4. Wait , the top up . Make sure the nozzle don’t touch the glass , and the can is passed the horizontal.
      Good luck 🤞🏻. Let me know how you get on 👍🏻

    • @thespencerarms2022
      @thespencerarms2022  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there and thank you for watching.
      Since this video Guinness now do bigger draft cans to fill a pint so the nitro surge can work out more expensive. However, they are in my opinion better . I’ve since used beer clean glasses and got a full lacing . As far as the pin prick works , you need to very slowly push a pin in to slowly release the pressure so it don’t activate the wiget . Then , pop on the cap , turn it on and do it in one pour . Cheers 🍻. Speno

      If this link don’t work, it’s called “ A journey to full lacing on the glass “ or something like that .
      Basically, clean bucket , clean baby bottle brush and warm salt water . Rinse well and air dry the glass for 24 hours .
      I do a beer clean glass video . The first one I used bi carb , but that’s not necessary. It’s all about regenerating the glass and then cleaning with pure salt water , and also lacing the glass with salt . Cheers for watching . Hope this helps . Speno

      @@gerardvessey4112 To be fair mate i think you should get a good head with it chilled, but if its ice cold it will effect it . Also , may sure the cans settle for 24 hours and you don't disturb the can too much . hope this helps. Speno

      Hi Paul . Is this because the head line fell right on top of the G ? , splitting it from the rest of the decal . I’ve heard several things about Splitting the G so this interests me . I’m presuming this is a compliment lol 😆.
      Cheers 🍻

    Nigerian FES (7.5% ABV) in a can through the Surger would be a REAL step forward.

    Bicarbonate of soda will get your glasses squeaky clean, do not use Fairy Liquid etc.

    I carefully hand wash Guinness glasses, I find with my (new style) harp glasses I don’t get lacing much, however I acquired some glasses from a Dublin visit, and they’re old style and a few years old now, and I get fantastic lacing, despite being washed the same way. I find the more a glass is washed over time the better lacing becomes, I always use rough scouring pads with hot water, fairy, and sometimes table salt. 🥲

      @thespencerarms2022  Год назад +1

      Now that sounds like good logic . I’ve heard about the old style glasses , and it does make sense about the old glass theory. Thank you for the tip . I’ll give it a go with the fairy and salt . Cheers mate 🍻
