Great review as always!
looks like a nice upgrade over the baton 3 kit, awesome to have the capability of a power bank if needed
Awesome review! Definitely picking one up
Awesome! I was wondering if the Baton 3 charger would charge the Baton 4 light and the answer is...no, it does not! Thank you for a great review!!!
Yeah I ordered Odie Green tonight
Nice review as always good sir. I think ill wait till they release it in orange and neutral white color temperature.
Awesome review. Super in depth more than I even needed, earned my subscription 🎉
Thanks for the support
Does it get ridiculously HOT like the Odin mini? Mine burnt a hole in my coat pocket after accidentally bumping it on. I smelled something burning and it was me! I recon it would've eventually caught fire.
Buying a premium kit tonight. A+ Video.
Great video. The Baton 4 "Nano" vs Warrior Nano. Which one do you prefer? I love the new tail switch on the Warrior Nano and i love my baton 3 pro. Im not sure if ill find a place for this in my collection or not. Of course I'd love to have one of each in every color but my wife is the one who needs the sales pitch haha
I prefer the tail switch on the warrior nano. I just feel like the light is too small to really have a tail switch on it but I still like the tail switch on it 🤣👍
@@PreparedGuyIf the future Baton 4 Pro version has a tailswitch, then I shall personally kiss Sean on the lips and and smack my bank card stuck onto his forehead.
The Baton 4 is too small for my liking (and no I don't wear hats). But I'm eager to see a 4 inch Baton 4 Pro in neutral white! 😁 (Or perhaps an even warmer option? 🙏)
They aren't going to give us better tints or CRI. They absolutely know we have been asking for it for years but it seems that they are very stuck to their ways of only allowing us to have the worst light quality possible. It would cost them nothing to give us the option too.
I've heard some say that it's about them being able to over-hype it when they finally do use nicer emitters and make it sound like something unique or special to their fans and non-fans will jump to it too. Personally, I won't be buying any Olights for a while.
@@alextaplin7354 any other brands you'd recommend?
I ordered one, i own the Baton 3 too. 1 thing i dont get its the wireless charging. The case is a wires charger. One pole its a circular wire, one is a big point wire. Wireless means induction, a coil being involved. These are wire to wire connections.
1 question, please: can you put in in the case, ramp it to the desired luminosity then remove it from the case and use it at that desired level? If yes, will it memorize that lvl?
Yes the answer is yes it can be used as your question describes. 😎👍🏻
@@PreparedGuy awesome, thank you! 60 is too low for wet condition, 600 is way too high!
I bought a Seeker4Pro for being able to stepless + -.
I recieved mine yesterday and I gotta say I'm pretty dissapointed by the moonlight....my old S1R Baton II has much better and functional output with the same declared lumens on moonlight mode. Otherwise it's an excelent package!
That is pretty cool!
What is the use case of a small light in a case, when you could just carry a bigger light with more lumens and candela? The Baton 3 pro max has the same 21700 battery that is in the case, but is smaller and lighter.
Can it be recharged directly via usb-C without using the wireless box?
No. Have to use the box.
So if I have the Baton 3 am I going to shell out another $50 for only 200 more lumens and a gimmicky power switch? Not with my tight holiday budget!
1200 to 1300 is a 100 lumen difference.
Not buying it. The case seems cool but is pointless when you could just carry a 21700 light instead of that whole box and get better ergonomics and performance from it and it still be more pocketable.
Also, I'm actually disgusted at this point that Olight keep using the same cold, harsh, low CRI emitters without giving us any option. It would cost them nothing to have a neutral option or to switch to 519a and they know that everyone would prefer it and has been asking them for years.
Very nice 👍😊
just had to be the first one to get the vid up huh? XD
I cued my review on a scheduled premier to be released at the exact time of the approved review release time. It's the best way to do it. That way there is no hold up and folks can see exactly what they're buying. I've always disliked having Early access but then have to buy a flashlight before I know anything about it. Hence my releasing on time for the sale launch. Not all heros wear capes 🤣👍
Seems kind of useless.
Yeh it’s bright. But it lasts 1minute? Then it ramps down to nothing and you only get a hour.
The i5 rechargeable doesn’t have the super bright mode. But will outlast the baton at a brighter setting.
For 3 hrs
First here and just got the cu damascus
Got what? What's cu
BEST ONE FOR THE MONEY Olight flashlight 2500 lumens Baton 3 Pro Max wide beam neutral white lights are easier on your eyes""""""""" wheelchair larry
Still need a proper USB C charging port on the light.....
Not impressed need a neutral white
I'm impressed, but agree that a neutral white would be even better. I suspect that extended runtimes and extreme brightness for the size are inhibiting Olight, but they should still offer a choice. I really like the feel of the Baton 4. Unfortunately I did not have the case to play around with. I think they have good package and I can use it with my Neutral White Perun 2 Mini.
I feel the same. EDC lights should be neutral/warm white. Cool white is for throwers and ridiculously high lumen flashlights.
Ok, I was writing a reply, then ironically Olight's own ad came down and over it and deleted what I'd written!
What I was saying was that Olight almost certainly arn't going to offer us better light quality any time soon. They know we have been asking for better tint and CRI for many years but ignore it every time. It seems that they are quite toxically stuck to their ways on this one and only want to allow customers to have the worst light quality they can get away with.
It's light, guys! Lighten up. Pun intended. Lol
