    Predecessor means it came before. The word you're looking for is successor.

    It's cool! But I know if I had it, I probably wouldn't use the case to charge it. I always prefer charging in a separate charger and using another (16340) while the cell is charging.

      @JulianJohnston919 4 месяца назад +1

      You can buy the light by itself, for I think $30 bucks cheaper then with the charger.

    How long can I run it on high while in the case ?

    • @1stfloorguy59
      @1stfloorguy59 5 месяцев назад

      Probably the same step-down pattern in or out of case. More to do with thermals more so than voltage

    The turbo run time seems wrong

    • @Snapper314
      @Snapper314 5 месяцев назад

      I think all of the lumen and runtime are off. The Baton 3 had a High of 300 lumens, but the Baton 4 is supposed to have a High of 600.

      Ya'll are correct, I read the wrong specs for this, the updated correct specs are pinned on top!

    It'd be rather hard for 4 to be a predecessor to 3.
    Loving the product though.

    They really went all out with the charging box, and the light is meh...
    Tint is too green! Turbo is almost useless, not very different from 600 to 1300 and you can't even access turbo when it's in 10-60% (2 green dots)!
    Why not have a neutral white, 400 high without step down, and 1000 turbo that lasts longer, that's what an EDC light needs!
    I mean, why push more lumens on a light that small, I'm not gonna go search for Sasquatch with it!

  • @jeffholthus2009
    @jeffholthus2009 4 месяца назад +1

    All kinds of wrong here. High is 600 not 300 lumens and steps down after 7 mins. Medium is good for 8 hours. Turbo steps down after 1.5 MINUTES, not hours. It's all right there in the user manual.

  • @JulianJohnston919

    I just wish it was a little bigger, there are quite a few lights that are a lot better (higher lumens, longer battery life etc.) for that price point.

  • @AlrekArinbjorn
    @AlrekArinbjorn 6 месяцев назад +2

    Does it have a proprietary battery? The charging case is stupid, you could've just made the light a little bit longer and had USB-C onboard charging right there and done away with the charging case

    • @mimimmimmimim
      @mimimmimmimim 6 месяцев назад +1

      Exactly.. Or even better, use a 18600 battery with a decent battery capacity ...
      It's ridiculous to have to carry that bulky brick to be able to charge your battery.
      After its internal battery dies, one needs another charger for the cr-123 😮

    • @Tyler_Rogers
      @Tyler_Rogers 6 месяцев назад +4

      You guys know you can charge the light without the case, right? The case is just an upgrade. It doubles as a battery pack, and able to use usb c. You can also run like whole inside pack. It definitely has its niche uses!

    • @mimimmimmimim
      @mimimmimmimim 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Tyler_Rogersif what you mention is the proprietary contacts, it still is missing a USB charging port. Which means one needs to carry along one more thing. Still not better than those tiny flashlights without changeable batteries. At beast you can give them a quick charge anywhere and all you carry is a keychain light (and sadly still only dependable for 3 years at most).

    • @AlrekArinbjorn
      @AlrekArinbjorn 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Tyler_Rogers The battery is always proprietary with olight lights. And the charging cable is always proprietary as well

    • @AlrekArinbjorn
      @AlrekArinbjorn 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@mimimmimmimim Olight has lots of quality control failures too. You'll be very lucky if you can ever use it again if you put it up to turbo for more than a few seconds

    Yes the light is great! But when you don’t do your research and claim that high is 300 lumens when it actually is 600 lumens for 7 minutes and the. Steps down to 300, I will never go to you for a review.
