    I decided to watch this video based on what you said. I have been considering using Bait Fuel this summer. You mentioned that you like BANG & I also use BANG and have for decades. It's made in Tucker Ga or at least it used to be. I've been asked if I believe if it is an attractant? I don't know that, but I use it to mask the smell of me. It definitely works!!

    First time out with bait fuel was as a co angler during post frontal conditions and I was only one in the boat to catch anything. Was not a great day on the water but considering the situation it made me a believer.

    Don't know about Bait Fuel, but I do know about BANG. Made in Tucker Georgia and I've used it since 79. It was given to me in the later part of that year by a guy who I fished with since I was a teenager. It's always worked & I caught numerous bass on it since then. I now use something nobody I know does. I still use FishSticks. That's what it's called and KVD endorses it
    It's a attractant but I use it to mask the smell of me. It works better than anything I've found. BaitFuel is one I haven't used yet. I've thought about using it when it gets colder to see if it is as good as FishSticks. I'll know this November

    i been using the baitfuel about a month..... I was catching fish among other people that weren't. I was getting catfish and other fish bite too. On a pressured small lake near me I was able to catch fish when people around me kept asking what I was using (I told them but left out the baitfuel part). But already I have started to notice the stuff not working as much, it still gets extra bites, but the fish are seeing it everywhere; it's not popping off like it was. I believe like anything else.....the fish are getting accustomed to it. and literally almost every single tournament angler I know has bait fuel now. so these fish are seeing it everywhere. But anything thats gonna get me an extra bite or 3, im in!! its facinating to watch how they tested it against hundreds of other mixtures in their video series, and I def love how this stuff was made not to stink and how its a new kind of scent.

    100% works been using it for awhile now. I've been anti-scent guy, tried it all from the sticks to the spray this is the first one I've noticed a difference. It's impressive how long they hold on and how it does seem to give you an extra edge in pressured situations.

    I have used Kicking Bass” garlic scent for decades. I believe in it. It is thick like bait fuel, sticks great. Like Randy, fishing with a friend I was using it. He was bitchin’ “not to get that stinky stuff in his boat…”. Well, after catching 8 to his 0,
    I see his plastic worm dangling in front of my face…..”can I have a little of that stuff..?” End of day, me 28, him 20. It works!!

      @@richardmcguire6443 garlic is nature so garlic?😂 I’m joking but with anise I’ve noticed that it’s a scent bass just can’t seem to stand so they bite it with intents to move it away from their territory. I’m not a scientist but most scents are made up of multiple oils/molecules that interact with each other to give something it’s specific aroma. I’d bet my money that there’s a molecule in both anise and garlic and most likely other scents that cause a bass to bite rather than just simplifying it to “well bass don’t naturally eat garlic so this obviously won’t work”

    Soaked my jig and trailer for 3 days in it, fish didn’t jump in the boat but they thumped my jig and took it deep, that hasn’t been happening for me lately in June. I caught 5 fish before the trailer was wrecked, new trailer just not soaked in bait fuel and no more bites, I can tell you I lost confidence in the jig because I only soaked one to try it out. I am a believer, maxscent the fish just don’t let go and seems to be the case with bait fuel.

    Having aquariums for 50 years, I have noticed fish are very sensitive to scents. Some scents will repel fish or they don't show any interest. Other scents will cause them to attempt to eat whatever it happens to be. For example Zucchini is a favorite for some fish but not others. Baby crawfish some go crazy over as soon as one hits the water, freeze dried or alive.
    I currently have a native fish tank which has been very educational for me to observe.

    As soon as you said it's consistency was like hand soap that was the first thing I thought. Was good it should stay on your bait longer, less mess, hopefully not dripping all over your boat. And the fact that it does not have that horrible black licorice/anis type of scent which I hate so much is also nice. Maybe I'll have to give it a shot

  • @charles8134
    @charles8134 2 года назад +2

    I have 4 bottles and I’m half way through my first bottle. Seems like I get the same amount of bites but without a doubt they hold on longer without spitting it out. Just this last weekend I got a bite and hit the thumb release on my reel and counted to 15 and was still watching my line moving before I finally set the hook. I’ve only used it with zoom products so far and the salt in zoom makes the lures swell up a little and look spongy if you marinate with the baitfuel. Also I’ve noticed all my green soft plastics like green pumpkin and California 420 definitely lighten up to almost watermelon seed color but it didn’t effect junebug or black and blue. I’m a believer in it and will continue to use it. If I could make a request for a video I would love to see your Carolina rig tips or set ups thank you.

      I mean thats with any other scent bro thats what scent is for is just to have the fish hold on longer but pro-cure gel scent or fish sticks does just as good in that aspect. An pro-cure doesn't cause ur baits to swell like that and last a pretty long time on the bait. Now if u want something that will def notice a different in bites and holding on longer u might wanna try some Nories Bass bite liquid and some nories Bite powder u can mix it with the liquid that stuff works. Its whats on their baits in the package but with the added amino powder u get even more attraction since bass can detect them.

One thing I’ve noticed though is if you squirt it in a pack of baits to marinate it and don’t use all the baits over time the bait fuel will dry up almost like an Elmer’s glue type film. It hasn’t hurt the baits at all just gives your worm’s dandruff haha. Pick out of the bag squirt some more in there and you are good to go.

    I have never really used scents, but will start trying both Bait Fuel and Bang in the future. One thing I have always wondered is the smell, taste or aroma of Garlic from Bang or other attractants a natural condition to Bass? Garlic is a wonderful flavor, smell and taste for humans, but a bass? I smell garlic and I instantly think about the Olive Garden Restaurant, or the local Pizza parlor in my neighborhood. I get hungry and want to eat. But does a bass react the same to garlic as I? I don’t get hungry when I smell shad or crawfish found in bass mouths or the bottom of the livewell. I believe bass and humans are different creatures. Garlic scents are used to attract anglers and their money.

    Any thoughts or comments on squirting some of these scent products into a bag of plastics and leaving them marinading for days/weeks/months? I don't fish all that often so a bag of plastics can sometimes last quite a while. I've wondered about whether essentially storing the plastics soaking in scent liquid would be a good thing (more scent may be absorbed by the plastic) or bad (would the scent chemicals over time cause the plastic to break down, get sticky or weak, etc). I guess it may vary depending on the particular plastic and scent product. I've never experimented and would be interested to hear if anyone else has tried it.

    • @KenBassler12
      @KenBassler12 2 года назад

      JT Kenney promotes this and that is exactly how he says to use it, right in the bag and let the plastics marinate. Its water soluble and foes not appear to contain anything that will deteriorate plastics over time. No issues for me with plastics coated in it for weeks.

      @@KenBassler12 That's good to know. Many thanks. I'll give it a try. It always seemed to me that squirting scent liquid onto a bait was mostly useless because it would wash off quickly. But marinading would seem to make more sense.

    I’ve seen it work almost the same , I like bang too , I get the bang shad/craw in the squirt bottle , and I still have my old juice jug too , dip and cast , on my deck , definitely going to get some bait fuel though , I’m a scent believer

    You might be having good luck with it. But Others on RUclips have tested it out on the water and there bit rate when down when using it. same bait same lake some went from catching fish with out it to not even getting a bite using Bait fuel. I have not tried the stuff yet but I will be soon. Just so I can see how it works for me.

    I got suckered into buying a bottle of it. I used about half the bottle and didn't see that much of a result to keep buying another bottle. I took the label off and passed it on as hand sanitizer. If you think it works for you then keep buying it.

    Bait fuel does help get more bites with bass, but with bream and crappie I've had more success with Diatract!!

      Yeah I think Diatract does work better with bream and crappie!!!

    IDK about BaitFuel, but the other one in the Thumbnail works....but really, you don't need scent when you know how to fish.

    What I've noticed is how many YT'ers, Pros, and even some guides are pimping this stuff as of late. So, I think the real question is how much/what is the deal that Bait Fuel is handing out to all these folks to get them to pimp this stuff.?

      They're pimping it for sure.

    Test it on one bait before marinating a whole package. Some plastics swell from the moisture, and some dyes fade or change. You may need to wait to stew them until you get to the water.
    $10 plus S&H is beyond my budget. I’ll keep storing my plastics in garlic salt and seeing what concoctions I can make in the kitchen. I’m thinking, licorice extract, minced garlic, and a gummy worm garnish.

    I wonder if its a similar type of compound to maxscent. I noticed maxscent really doesn't have a strong smell for us, but man I've had days when they wouldn't bite anything but a flatworm. I've had a bottle of baitfuel for months now, still yet to try it out. One of those things, always have great ideas when getting ready to fish, watching videos etc, but then get out on the lake and totally forget I even have the bottle.

      Berkley sells a maxscent marinade in a small bottle. That stuff is loud. Esp the shrimp. Stunks bad. Works good.
